Just watched the last two episodes of KnM, or as I like to call it, MechaYuri. The good thing is, they ended up going with the Yuri ending, the bad thing is they had to make it a happy happy ending. Still, I liked the way everything turned out despite the numerous Deus Ex Machina moments (but hey, magical realism…). It seemed all the mecha stuff in the last two eps was rather frivolous as this was more a love story than anything else, but whatever. I did enjoy the music for the final eps. I also wish that the series were of 26 episode length, as I think more stuff could have been explained better, characters fleshed out more, etc, but it was decently done as it was. For a series that stunned a lot of us with the first ep (Mecha AND Yuri!?), it kept with that formula and delivered to the end.
Final Grade: A-

  1. It’s been almost a year since this was posted but I just watched the last episode Kannaduki no Miko and after I finish an anime I usually go looking for blogs to see how everyone else felt about it. Now, I’m not too sure what you mean by “the bad thing is they had to make it a happy happy ending” I liked the “happy happy ending” I even got a little misty eyed when they were proclaiming their love for each. At least they didn’t end the anime like Gantz was ended
