Random Musings – Aquarion Season 2? Edition

The official Aquarion Blog features this image you see to the side from the Tokyo International Anime Fair with the words “2006 Autumn.” No word yet whether this means that a sequel is in production or if it’s an OVA or a game or something. I’d certainly love to see a second series, but I won’t get my hopes too high just yet. Thanks to Guido and BluWacky for the head’s-up. This is semi-old news, but there’s going to be a Full Metal Panic! The Second Raid OVA coming out on May 26th. It’s supposed to be about a day in the life of Tessa, which would suggest that it’ll be a lot more light-hearted than TSR was. The next set of Bleach opening and ending songs have been announced: OP4: 「TONIGHT,TONIGHT,TONIGHT」 by BEAT CRUSADERS ED7: 「HANABI」 by いきものがかり (ikimono-gakari)

  Not to nitpick, but shouldn’t there be an option for “No, I’m not looking forward to it.” in your poll this time? What do I vote for if I did watch the first series, do know about about the new series, and am not especially looking forward to it?

  I had considered it, but at the time the poll was posted the news was so fresh that if you loved the series then you already knew about it, but if you didn’t like the series then you probably didn’t know.

  You can say this is going to be really interesting.I’ve seen it and it is a cream of the crop of mecha genre although,like some people say, Evangelion is the best. I’ve yet to see the rumoured sequel(or something else) of Sousei no Aquarion which is to be released in Autumn this year(Northern hemisphere autumn August-November)

  Can anybody keep me informed about Sousei no Aquarion especially the rumoured sequel(??) of SnA that is to be released in Autumn 2006, please, because i’m a fan of Mecha anime especially Sousei no Aquarion?

  In short,let’s just wait and see if it is the sequel or not.

  Yeah, I really hope so too, the ending was really sad and it didn’t end right. Needs a second season.
