Summary:

Now that he’s in front of the Emperor again, Lelouch questions why his father didn’t protect his mother even though his father knew that the rest of the royal family shunned her. The Emperor answers that all people aren’t created equal, and he suggests that Lelouch use his Geass power to find the answer. Lelouch, however, is wary of doing so because it requires him to make eye contact with the Emperor, and that would put him in danger of being affected by the Emperor’s Geass. He comes up with a plan instead where he fires a special part from the Shinkirou and reflects his Geass power off the shards of glass that are now in the air. He orders his father to die, and, to his surprise, it actually works because the Emperor proceeds to shoot himself in the heart. Lelouch is ecstatic at first, but he soon realizes that there were things he wanted to ask his father and people he wanted his father to apologize to. It is at this moment that the fallen Emperor reopens his eyes and wonders who Lelouch is talking about. Lelouch reacts to this by trying to use his Geass power again, but neither this nor shooting the Emperor repeatedly with a gun has any effect, and this immortality causes Lelouch to despair.

The Emperor subsequently reveals that he has a new power to replace his Geass power, and he’s now ready to tell Lelouch about the true form of the world they’re in. By activating a control panel, the Emperor puts Lelouch in an environment where there are white masks and giant gears all around. When Lelouch wonders what the Emperor is planning to do, the Emperor comments on how a child covered in lies wants to know the truth from others. He then questions what Lelouch has gained from the lies of Zero’s mask, so Lelouch tries to assert that he got an army and subordinates that a normal student couldn’t have ever obtained. In response to this, a voice in these new surroundings – one that is attached to the masks – points out that Lelouch also lost Euphemia and can’t show himself to Suzaku or Nunnally. Lelouch tries to argue that everyone lies, but the voice observes that Lelouch wants others to understand his true self but wore a mask because he was afraid that others would know who he really is. The Emperor then reappears and says that there’s no need to lie because he is Lelouch and Lelouch is him – he feels that there is only one person in the past, future, and history of mankind.

Lelouch doesn’t know what his father talking about, and he’s further surprised when C.C. suddenly shows up and says that playtime is over. It turns out that the Emperor knows of her wish and promises to grant it, and C.C. finally reveals to Lelouch what that is: to die. C.C. goes on to explain that, at the limits of Geass, the person who has the power succeeds the position of the person who gave the power – in other words, he would gain the power to kill her. Of all the people she’s contracted with so far, none have been able to reach that point, however the Emperor has now achieved it. With Lelouch shocked to hear that she contracted with him so that she could die, C.C. asserts that the providence of this world is in living in order to die. She feels that people are aware of life because there is death, and when Lelouch declares that a life only for death is too sad, C.C. says that the accumulation of not dying is not life – it’s an experience. C.C. finally tells Lelouch that if he has a reason to live, then he should kill her and gain the same power to fight as his father has. Knowing that he can’t do it, C.C. bids Lelouch farewell and, as she plunges him into another world, she says that he’s too kind. Afterwards, she wonders why the Emperor took V.V.’s Code, but the Emperor avoids answering because he doesn’t think that there’s any meaning now that C.C. is about to die.

Meanwhile, back in Area 11, Miss Romeyer reports to Nunnally on the redevelopment of the Saitama Ghetto, but Nunnally wants to know more and questions if there aren’t disadvantages for the Elevens in this, all while she holds Miss Romeyer’s hand. When Miss Romeyer claims that this is the best choice for both sides, Nunnally accuses her of lying and requests a revision of the plan that doesn’t hold disadvantages for the Elevens. Miss Romeyer thinks that Nunnally should just leave this to the experts, but Nunnally then declares that she’s the one who is the governor-general. As for Suzaku, he prepares to inject Kallen with the Refrain but he stops himself when he realizes that he’s acting he same way that Lelouch would. Frustrated, he decides that his only course of action is to try to meet Lelouch directly in order to confirm his suspicions, but he can’t find Lelouch at Ashford Academy, and all of the Secret Intelligence Agency members in charge of surveillance are under the influence of Lelouch’s Geass power. When Suzaku returns to Nunnally, he learns that Schneizel had told her that Area 11 is getting its status raised to that of a satellite area, but his thoughts remain on his conclusion that Lelouch is Zero again. He considers reporting it to the Emperor, but he wonders what would happen to Nunnally if he did because the Emperor had promised to use Nunnally if Lelouch’s memories returned.

Nunnally then notices that Suzaku might be hiding something from her, and when he declares that he wouldn’t lie to her, she questions him about who the person that he had put on the phone a while back was. Nunnally knows that it was her brother and tries to touch Suzaku’s hand to figure out if he’s telling the truth, but when he pulls back, she comments on how he’s the same as Lelouch. Around this time, Villetta meets with Ougi in China with the intent of erasing any stains she has with Elevens. She’s surprised when she learns that Ougi had come knowing that he might die, but he explains that he wanted to choose for himself when he dies. Villetta then asks why a terrorist like him had saved a Britannian soldier like her, so Ougi reveals that he originally just wanted to find out information about Zero. However, even though he knew she was the enemy, he had fallen in love with her, and all Villetta can say in response to that is that it would have been better if they had never met. She then hears rustling in the trees behind her and realizes that Sayoko had been spying on them. Sayoko attacks Villetta and corners her at the edge of a cliff, but when she tries to finish Villetta off, Ougi jumps in and takes the kunai hits. He loses his footing in the process and falls off the cliff, and Villetta instinctively dives after him and catches him in midair. Unfortunately, the two are now plunging towards some rocks in the water below.

Lelouch meanwhile finds himself looking into C.C.’s past, and he sees her when she was young telling a nun that she didn’t want to die. The nun had proposed a contract where, in exchange for the power to live for a long time, she wanted C.C. to someday grant a single wish for her. The Geass power that C.C. ended up getting was one that allowed her to be loved because that’s what she wanted deep in her heart. Unfortunately, due to everyone loving her, C.C. couldn’t figure out what was true love, and the only person she trusted was the nun. One day however, the nun had decided to end everything and had revealed that she needed someone to take her place who had a certain level of Geass. The aftermath of this left the nun dead and C.C. scarred, and C.C. had realized that the nun had merely used her as a tool to bring an end to the nun’s own life. The image of C.C. who is guiding Lelouch through these memories then observes that Lelouch isn’t there yet in the World of C, so he must be a person in her present rather than her past. She also thinks that her real self sent Lelouch to this place so that he could be protected from something.

With the real C.C. ready to let the Emperor end her long journey, Lelouch somehow opens the Thought Elevator and returns to the cockpit of the Shinkirou. He’s figured out that this place is a system that interferes with thought, but the Emperor traps the Shinkirou in place to force Lelouch to watch what’s about to happen. Unwilling to sit there and do nothing, Lelouch asks C.C. why she didn’t have him take over the eternal life so that she could die. Seeing that she’s started to cry as the Emperor holds her, Lelouch implores her not to die with such a face and says that it should be with a smile. He vows to make her smile, and hearing these words finally make C.C. push the Emperor away and use a control panel to release the Shinkirou. Lelouch then springs into action by having his Knightmare Frame open fire on the Sword of Akasha, and when the ground crumbles, he flies towards the falling C.C. while declaring that he knows her true wish. While all this is going on, Nina meanwhile leads a successful test of her new weapon at the Dallas Laboratories, and she tells Schneizel that from now on, mankind and wars will change. Back at the Geass cult’s base, Lelouch wakes C.C. and is shocked to find out that she no longer recognizes who he is. Instead, she thinks that he’s her new master and tells him about her cooking and cleaning abilities.

Well geez, that was one helluva episode. There was development in several subplots, but the main focus here was definitely on C.C. This episode reveals much about her past (including the nun and the bloody altar scene which have been referenced before) and how she wants to die, and I think there are only a few things left to explain about her. One of those is of course her real name, and I’m now of the opinion that, since it doesn’t play a big part in her past, it’ll likely come up during a crucial moment between her and Lelouch, assuming it ever comes up again at all. The other thing left to explain is what she truly wants, and the way Lelouch tries to convince her not to die (i.e. using the fact that she didn’t make him replace her) makes me think that he knows that she loves him and that this is where the true love that she never understood lies. For the time being though, she’s reverted to some servant personality/memories, and I’m sure Lelouch will have his hands full. Regardless, I think the chances of C.C. dying at the end of all this are pretty good since that’s what she originally wanted.

Speaking of chances of dying, Suzaku might have improved his odds since wasn’t able to use the Refrain on Kallen because he realized that he’d become like Lelouch. It makes him somewhat less despicable, so the writers probably aren’t trying to turn the audience against him so that they can kill him off easier, though on the other hand, perhaps he’s now more annoying in that self-righteous sort of way. As for the other subplots, I wished they had gone back to the Ougi/Villetta/Sayoko scene again before the end of the episode. The way that scene ended was almost literally a cliffhanger, and while I don’t doubt that Ougi and Villetta will survive, the question is what the repercussions of all this is (for example, if they have to go on the run from Diethard/Sayoko now) and how their relationship proceeds from here.

The added wild card this week is that Nina finally succeeded in making the bomb, so Schneizel just got a lot scarier. The end of the current OP sequence seems to suggest that Schneizel, the Emperor, and Lelouch are the three major players, and this new weapon is probably how Schneizel finally makes his move. There aren’t any hints about it in the preview for next week though, and instead it looks like Lelouch will be interrogating Cornelia (with his mask off), propose some new international union resolution, and have to deal with servant-girl C.C. It also appears that another Knight of Rounds – Luciano Brandli to be specific – will be entering the picture, and he might not have the scruples that Suzaku does in dealing with Kallen.

  1. second comment…

“-Oh and Nina finally succeeded in making the bomb, so Schneizel just got a lot more powerful.”

May be its is something that “will” power knightmare in the second OP

  2. @varda:

That’s Luciano. Both he and Bismarc (knight of one), as well as their respective Knightmares have been revealed on the official geass website for a while now.

  3. Ah…So they have to ‘pass on’ the Immortality…
I had guessed as much when the spoilers for C.C’s past came out.
So V.V passed his immortality to the Emperor?
Will C.C pass her immortality to Lelouch then?

    k
  4. C.C! What on earth happened to you? T_T And also, was the stigmata she has explained too? Nina is making me so annoyed….

…..Code Geass just gets more and more complicated. O_O

  5. To kill the gods means to kill V.V. and C.C.? This show just keeps topping itself in terms of plot. Think there’s more of these ‘gods’? I doubt the emperor would do so much just to kill only two people plus there were lots of people with geass stigmata in those mind trips sequences.

And that bomb nina made doesn’t look like a normal one. 3rd pic on the second last row for the episode seems to be showing that space is collapsing from a single point. The key to finally destroy geass permanently maybe?

  6. @GP

More like a master looking after a servant, even the preview shows she was scared at him when she was trying to change her cloth openly infront of him… Man i hope she won’t stay like that cause it’s so un-C.C beside we still don’t know her real name that wont be fun at all changin C.C forever.

  7. the picture of c.c. in the last scene doesn’t look she had a tattoo on her forehead… since v.v. managed to transfer his forehead tattoo on charles. then is it possible that the tattoo was passed on v.v., charles or lelouch?

    Ungas
  8. And Suzaku who earns some respect points … I swear … with Shirley words about reconciliation … there is no doubt that these two, Lelouch and Suzaku will have to work together, maybe to stop Nina’s bomb.

She is crazy, and there is a high possibility that the bomb would put a lot of innocent people at risk, maybe even Nunnally.

  10. Self restraint is leaving me.. I’ve thoroughly spoiled myself.
The raws are so slow today!!

    Cool episode!

Suzaku’s attempt to use Refrain on Kallen was really stupid from the start, yet he didn’t stop doing it because he realized his own stupidity; but made up a reason to make himself feel more superior than Lelouch, when Lelouch would never use Refrain on a friend anyway. Duh. His moral may be on higher ground but his logic is still as defected as ever. I have no idea what to think of him and what his fate should be. I doubt he should live and rule Japan. (Imagine it and you’ll know how scary it’ll be if that happens.)

    …Finally raws!

  11. While waiting for raws…

    I (might) support Lulu x C.C.
C.C. has been living hundreds of years and still doesn’t know true love, that’s just sad!
Lelouch needs to love someone other than Nunnally too.

    Wait.. I like Kallen too!

    (can’t make up my mind)

Well, if C.C.’s personality changes too much I might change my mind. I certainly don’t support SM!

Anyway, Marianne mystery remains untouched. Still plenty of mysteries left. I can’t wait to see the ending! We’re about 10 episodes away!

  13. And with C.C. out of the way as a potential love interest, the top contenders are Milly and Kallen. If Kallen decides to leave Lelouch, then Milly is the final love interest that we’ll see. I hope to see a resolution between them before the series ends.

    Max
  14. As for Nina’s bomb, I certainly hope they will prevent it form detonating. The writers have answered my prayers so far by eliminating most of Lelouch’s potential love interests, aside from Milly Ashford.

    Max
  15. It looks like the scar under CC’s left breast has its origins in the attack by the Geass ‘nun’ in the church. She can be glimpsed bleeding from the left side, even if its a bit hard to tell.

    Silvering
  16. @Max – you can’t automatically cross out C.C as the LI. People are panicking now between LxC and LxK – but Kallen/Milly isn’t official love candidates left nor does Lelouch have to choose. We have to wait until the end of the season or another twist turner. Anyways, I love the fact Suzaku got bitch slapped! Lawl, I can’t wait for the KotR to visit Kallen, seems like she pissed him off. I luv that gurl’s attitude!

    miko-chan
  17. To be honest, I would rather see Lelouch with Milly than either C.C. or Kallen. It’s way too narrowly focused between those two. The only twist that I would like to see for Milly Ashford to finally taking Lelouch for herself. That would be a satisfying conclusion for me.

I am disappointed that we have seen the rest of the Ashford family members at all. All of the announced episodes has Lalouch away from Ashford Academy before the attack on Tokyo. I do hope that the nuclear attack doesn’t come true, as the rumors suggest that it will.

    Max
  18. Mikuru, get the hell off of my internets, C.C is overloaded with Moe now and her eye beams are much more powerful than the falcon punch!
Looking forward to the Black Knights meeting the new C.C…. the fact that someone dared to enslave the child C.C outrages me, the fact she is now in this mentality…. remember when calling C.C moe at the moment, she beleives she is Lelouchs slave…. his property…

    Strettger
  19. Watched the episode.

I want to say that it was SUPER AWESOME x99999999!

    Loved C.C. and Lelouch!
I loved it when Lelouch talked C.C. out of letting Charles kill her, saying that she should die with a smile and that he knows her true wish.
I loved it when C.C. said that Lelouch was too kind.
I loved Lelouch going lengths to save her and really caring about her at the end.

But well, does this mean the C.C. we all knew is gone now?
It seems like she’s reverted back to her own slave-self before she received geass.

    More random thoughts:
    – Viletta Ougi Don’t die! And don’t lose any memories! Enough of that already!
    – More Marianne wanted.
    – Lelouch’s mirror trick = cool!
    – Er.. V.V. is dead now right?
    – Charles is … hard to understand.=_=”’ I mean he’s the only guy I can’t make out what he’s saying.
    – WHAT was the meaning of Curly’s smile when C.C. sent Lelouch falling away?!? WHAT is this guy up to?!? Ragnarok? What is geass for? Why does it give the power to become immortal?
    – Nunnally ruling Japan will be perfect! Way to go Nana-chan!
    – Finally.. Nina, she did it! Just great. Now I hope her role is done and her voice actor can go home.

    Yukiruchan
  20. @Max: The reason we aren’t likely to see the rest of the Ashford family members is because they just aren’t important enough to the plot. We still have a few Knights of Rounds left to see, and they’re much, much more important than the Ashfords, although I suppose they may appear in relation to Marianne.

And Milly/Lelouch is basically impossible at this point, considering there’s been no development beyond Milly’s one-sided crush. Milly is one of my favourite characters, but I’d be very disappointed if she were to end up with Lelouch. She just doesn’t have the connection to him that C.C. and Kallen both do. I think you’ll have to look to fanfic for a Milly/Lelouch pairing.

  21. dude

that was the best summery EVER!

    don’t change it! xDD

love how you just say “oh yea, btw, Nina made a bomb, so Schneizel’s hella powerful”.

    xDD it sounds so casual

    Ken
  22. @Yukiruchan: I like your last line – “- Finally.. Nina…”
I HOPE CC remain in this condition till the end of this series. We NEED more moe characters. At least stay in this form a bit longer, can???
One question: Does Nunnally have geass ability?

    tylon
  23. Now that’s an awesomely f*cked up episode, and the f-word is a compliment, honest!

On top of that, C.C. going so moe by reverting to her pre-immortal wise witch self, as well as uttering that classic line normally reserved for Saber “Are you my master?” That’s enough to melt a lot of brains.

    Kinny Riddle
  24. I am getting a little confused.

-Wasn’t one supposed to die in order to pass immortality? So who did V.V. pass hers?

-And according to C.C., V.V. was friends with lulu’s mother yet she plotted with the emperor to kill her?

    banzemanga
  25. Well.. Hello Char Aznable! I never thought I’d see you back, even if this isn’t a Gundam Series XD

on other thoughts this all is swelling up to a grand finale! (I just can hear a big bomb offing the world right now XD) and I’m glad how the spoilers of the series have been true so far… It would mean
    Show Spoiler ▼

Oh and Kudos Omni this summary has been one of the most excellent ones I’ve read. you just got into the mood of the episode (there happenes so dam many things in so little time that just a casual ‘highlight report’ made this episode even more Epic (and I’m sorry if you feel offended It was not my intention U.U) I’0m stil getting the evil-vibes-of dooms with that final sentence

“-Oh and Nina finally succeeded in making the bomb, so Schneizel just got a lot more powerful”

that was a Total WIN 🙂

    Ru
  26. If Cc is not immortal anymore, then Lulu will lost his geass too. when they came back to the geass door, his eye looks normal.
and for the bomb, i think Nina will drop it on japan, as an offer to her “princess.”

    phigeo
  27. Sorry @Silentveil, i know Suzaku did not force Kallen but i still hate him. XD

I specially hated him most seeing his new self in front of Nunally. His lies and stuff. He even agreed to the emperor that he will let the emperor use Nunally once lulu recovers his memory. He knew it all along yet agreed.

    banzemanga
  28. One more thing about the emperor and V.V. immortality.

How and when did V.V. pass his immortality if he was immortal not long ago when V.V. captured the purple haired princess (Euphi’s sister) – forgot her name.

    banzemanga
  29. C.C………she is so adorable…make me cry….

Now Schneizel got a Nuke bomb, thx to Nina (o man…i wish she dead….)

Guess what? I think this will happened : Schneizel may use the EU force to battle Britannia, this makes : Emperor Charles of Britannia, Schneizel of EU, and Zero of Supreme United States. Oh Boy!!!!

    HellorHeaven
  30. OH, Suzaku… What i can i say? It is time for him to face the consequences of being a bastard denial. So much for cursing zero while he is just the same “insert Nunnally comment.” If possible i would love to see his reaction when he was shown a video recording all his almighty speeches before his stupid princess got killed.

And nothing change even if he didnt drug kallen with that drug. The fact that he intents to use it is more than enough to speak for his true self, the side that Suzaku tries so hard to hide and Suzaku lovers try so hard to deny.

    mysterious
  31. I knew it! I knew C.C’s wish was to die!! dear god…what is going to happen now that she’s lost her memory? She was the one thing that kept Lelouch from going completely insane!

    Tata
  32. wow…another amazing ep! well this ep was very fast paced and switched from scene to scene constantly..
there were quite a few developments in this ep…
first off the emperor becoming immortal was quite unexpected for me..
c.c. losing her memories was also a big shock
i was also surprised when suzaku didn’t end up using the refrain on kallen, i was kinda hoping he would since then i could completely hate him for a good reason..as of now i just hate him without any good evidence lol
i couldn’t believe that suzaku was actually concerned for nunnally..i would think..well actually nevermind, that concern is actually the whole reason i hate him, he thinks he cares but he just cant see that he is the most selfish and corupt out of all the characters
well once again i am excited to see the next ep, out of all the shows that came out in the spring, code geass is the only one i consistantly have continued to watch, all the others fell to the wayside lol

    whatchamini
  33. well – i saw many things in a lot of animes… dude – i knew that geass would become a darn “epic”-class on its own..but *losing reasoning*
    DUDE – AWESOMMMMMMMMMME…w000000000000t…YEAH – GEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSS
    *returned to senses*
    – so now this episode is a epic drama episode…first we lost shirley two episodes ago…now C,C (chihiro? lol that would be sick…goes through women names with C,C…) returned mentally to her pre-geass form: a little medieval minor-slave?…Lulu…if u do something to MOE-C,C… immortality wont save u from my Wraith !!!…
well suzaku still has no guts…karen still can be a dominatrix ^^
nunnaly is a freaking lie detector – lulu beware…
ogi x villeta – dont die – still need some assasins on lulu ^^
“-Oh and Nina finally succeeded in making the bomb, so Schneizel just got a lot more powerful” – u got owned by mad yuri scientist…now Prinz Schnitzel eh schneizel got some new toy – 11 episodes to go? btw. if geass would be a love sim… lulu would now route for either his mental instable slave c,c; that loli nippon princess aka fiancee or kallen san… well half jap isnt bad for u, oh lord God Emperor to be ^^

did i mentioned that this show is frekin epic?
i cant see another show in near future to get on the same epic-scale like geass – well, geass 2 – the shirley/others route maybe… hmn, ninja maid…^^

    roflcopter
  34. damn i forgot – there still new characters for geass 3 – love love parallel universum dash
    -> mordred pilot
    –> ninjamaid
–> great bunch of schoolmates (alternate shirleys huh? Nani mai Hunni?)
–> bunch of half sisters (Cornelia Li Britannia? eh?)
–> his own sister (u would do that lulu?
–> enemy women ( yuri mad scientist, mad male scientist assitent, another princess?)
    -> forecast girl milly?
….well or he could go for suzaku-trap…that way suzaku could kill zero in no time…he would never survive that shock ^^

    roflcopter
  35. Oh, I forgot, I don’ think this version of Earth had nuclear weapons, thats why the countries fought each other with knightmares. Now nina has made the first one.

    Finalnight
  36. wow, have to agree with you, a very awesome episode.
do have to comment on what C.C. wants: I’m recalling from memory, but she said something about being the something of love, so now that she lost her memories and has gone back to her childhood memories, she might have done it on purpose, hence she has a clean slate to start with and she might have also thought that she can maybe fall for Lelouch all over again… well I’m not making much sense even to myself but hope you get what I’m trying to say.

    I can’t wait till next week ^^

    eli
  37. “Regardless, I think the chances of C.C. dying at the end of all this are pretty good since that’s what she originally wanted.”

Oi oi, aren’t you going a bit too far? Lulu said he doesn’t want to lose someone close anymore. I think he’d even sacrifice himself for C.C. Infact, that’s something realistic I could imagine for the end to happen.
Anyways, this episode shows, that Lulu definitely feels something for C.C. I’m not rooting for any pairings or such though, I think that’s the very last problem of Lelouch.

  38. @mysterious

Deny? Suzaku is a guy who pretty much gets up every morning, looks in the mirror, and tells himself “Today, I will be a good man.” He’s a sinner. He walks straight. Who can’t admire that?

    jack
  39. No, I don’t think Lelouch acheived Immortality, or else C.C would probly be dead, unless ofcourse somehow when Lelouch opened the though elevator he ascended, although I highly doubt that. And no, I don’t think Lelouch’s geass disactivated I think he just slipped the contact back in.

I also don’t believe C.C’s going to end up dying at the end, that would crush 90% of the fans, not to mention if C.C did die that ofcourse would mean that Lelouch becomes immortal (Unless the emperor steals it).

    Cyle
  40. It’s hilarious how people people still flip what Suzaku does, you gotta give him credit he didn’t use it, and guess what THAT”S WHAT MATTERS. (Doing it and considering doing it is not the same)

Anyways I was wrong about the only likeable people now. I forgot about Ohgi and Viletta.
So it’s only three people I want to live through the whole anime.
Nunally, Ohgi, and Viletta. (they have a good chance of living unless the writers want another tragedy)
Everyone else can die, I could care less now, I guess this is the final season. They could start CODE GEASS over again but with different characters and different plot, right?

    kayne001
  41. well looks like everyone has enjoyed the show and seems like lelouch will have a path of lonliness! first he kills euphie then lost shirley and now C.C these were the girls that had a shot too stand by his side! But like C.C said the path of kings is a one man hell!
Wow fist they kills euphie then shirley off the story and now they give up on C.C as well. Looks like Suzakau will be the next drama victum off the show! The way he doing things with kallen makes him like lelouch…..i think we will soon see a battle between lelouch and suzaku! (susaku still thinks lelouch kills shirley, and with the hate he’s of euphie death i think suzaku will do somthing too lelouch that no one could foresee!

This is just a a rumor!
(Think about it C.C maked a contract with lelouch for a wish she wants too die. Its not possible for her too change the contract!Wel she changed it and now she been has no memory what happend too her after she gets the geass power!)Look at C.C forehead the geass sigh is gone so she has no geass power left.
    OR
Charles just took the mpower of C.C and lelouch was just too late too save her!

AND WTF DID THE EMPEROR AND C.C KISSSED!!!!!!!!!!!!?????????While lelouch was WATCHING!!!!!!!

And for the people that thinks lelouch will get a girl….FORGET IT!!! Cause the path he chose is a path of kings! and there can only be one!

And PEOPLE THIS IS THE LAST SEASON CAUSE SOME OF YOU ARE HOPING FOR A 3RD?!!!

  42. Wow, so many people are biased against Suzaku. Leoluch does all these horrible things and all the fanboys looks the other way while Suzaku gets attacked for everything. I wonder if some of those fanboys are thinking? Perphaps they have different tastes like the Second Prince.

  43. Does the world of Code Geass not have nuclear weapons? I had always thought that Nina was just making a bigger, nastier bomb and was wondering why it was really a big deal. But if it’s really the first nuclear bomb, then that’s big.

  44. Again. Suzaku lovers, dont not use the excuse of fanboys to denfese suzaku anymore for it is pointless now.

Well, in case you guys cant see or refuse to see, LULU/ZERO/whatever is BAD,BAD, extremely BAD, ultramately BAD. Hope it is clear enough to render any fanboy comment may pop up after this post.

Now get to the same old point which has been repeated so many times.

@Jack: Deny? Suzaku is a guy who pretty much gets up every morning, looks in the mirror, and tells himself “Today, I will be a good man.” He’s a sinner. He walks straight. Who can’t admire that?

Yes, he is a sinner. He walks straight. But he didnt realize that he is a sinner. And i dont think he would get up every morning to tell himself “Today, I will be a good man.” Rather i bet he would ask himself “what is the quickest way to kill zero?” Again he has absolutely possitively right to want to revenge. But so are those japanese that he condems as territorists. I wouldnt mind whatever he does if yes only if he knows that he is just freaking evil like everyone else instead of spouting load of justice crap for every of his actions. And dont tell me, zero also justifies his action. I dont have problem if anyone wants to justify their action as long as they know they are also retard which suzaku is not in this case. He still sees himself as mighty and justice. But he already uses nunnally, all of his friends as Asford, and now threaten to drug kallen.

  45. It seems pretty definite that C.C. lost her powers entirely. Somehow Lelouch made it so that she was freed of her powers and reverted to how she was prior to receiving her geass. I’m guessing that what happened is that Lelouch granted her true wish of being truly loved and that effectively fulfilled the contract, freeing her from her geass-induced immortality and reverting her to how she was prior to receiving her geass. My guess is that Lelouch did not become immortal because he did not kill C.C., and since she no longer has her powers, killing her now would not grant him immortality, so I don’t think that he runs any risk of becoming immortal now.

I suppose that the big question is whether Lelouch still has his geass. While his eyes looked normal when he was talking to C.C. at the end, he had apparently had the time to call Rolo before she woke up, so he’d have had plenty of time to put his contact back in. However, he doesn’t have a geass in his eye in any of the preview images and he’s wearing his Zero uniform in them. Usually when he’s wearing his Zero uniform, he has the contact out so that he can use his geass by opening up the mask. Even though he is clearly in his Zero uniform (and in the case of the image with Cornelia , he’s even holding his mask, implying that he just took it off), he has no geass in his eye.

I think that there’s a good bet that Lelouch has lost his geass now that C.C. has lost her powers. There’s no guarantee of that or way to know at the moment, but I think that it’s at least a strong possibility.

    Kalessin
  46. I wonder if this means that Lelouch will start calling C.C. by her real name. She almost certainly doesn’t remember having been called C.C. since it’s probably a good bet that she started that after she became immortal, jaded, cynical, etc. I’m betting that being called C.C. instead of by her real name is just going to be one more thing that’s going to be confusing for her.

And on top of all this, with her memories of the last few hundred years lost, she’s not going to know anything about modern technology. Absolutely everything is going to be new. The only thing that she’s going to have to hold on to is her new “master” who she’s obviously very afraid of (probably from being abused by previous masters rather than anything particular about Lelouch). In a way, C.C. got both her stated wish and her real wish. The C.C. that we know and love appears to be dead (and who knows if there’s any way for her to get her memories back) and she was definitely loved by Lelouch. And while I wouldn’t necessarily say that she’s going to get romantic love from him at this point (given her current condition if nothing else), he definitely cares for here and is going to want to take care of her.

Who would have thought that the cynical C.C. would have become a moe character….

  47. anyone thinks that Schneizel might become the major villain for lulu now. It’s clear that the emperor is just fanatic who has a lot of power but won’t use it till like the last episode. And we also know that the emperor clearly doesnt want to kill lulu, he has his own big idealistic dream to fulfill.

    sdds
  48. This episode is full of WIN. From this point on, Code Geass is gonna hit us with a lot of unexpected and expected twists and turns. At least, I would hope so, cuz this is essentially the turning point of the story so far.

First off, CCxLulu for sure. Sorry, KallenxLulu fans.

Hm, CC keeps asking why did Charles take away VV’s Code. I believe their Code is essentially their spirit, and without it they are no longer immortal. So the Sword of Akasha/Thought Elevator/whatever the hell, probably steals Code. Strange, but it could play a huge factor later on deciding Charles and CC’s fate.

Y’know what, if Charles is MIA in Sword of Akasha/Thought Elevator world, wouldn’t that mean that they would take the next in line? Now, is that Lelouch, Schneizel, Odysessus, Nunnally (huge plot twist right there!) or Bismarc, the Knight of One.

Schneizel now has access to a nuke now. I can’t help shake my feeling that he will be Lelouch’s main antagonist. Especially that eerie last line: “Now, Damocles…” Britannian capital anyone?

And lol Super United Nations. So everyone who isn’t Britannia, step over into the Super United Nations side. And everyone who is Britannia, you can step onto your side. Now, fiiiight!

Aw, poor Cornelia. Just like poor Kallen. All tied up, with nowhere to go heehee.

    invAZN
  49. Awesome episode. I think the Charles is trying to groom his son to succeed him, seeing as it has been lulu who has been winning. Schneizel will take issue with this and bring in his new super weapon, i.e nuke. Also, I’m thinking that Kallen just might manage to escape herself and steal the Tristan to fly to the Black Knight base. It does look like the Tristan in the Op with a Black Knight flight unit on it with the rest of the Black Knight knightmares and the Modred, probably Anya switches sides later as well. That might make Gino the new pilot for the Guran. Personally, I don’t believe a 17 year old who believes purging a million people is justified is ever going to consider joining the other side.

  50. A note on increasing Geass powers. Lelouch has/had a Geass in his left eye (we’ll have to wait and see whether he still does). Rolo had it in his right eye. Mao had it in both eyes. The Emperor had it in both eyes. C.C. apparently had it initially in her left eye, but by the time she became immortal, it was in both eyes. This implies a progression of multiple stages:

    1. Geass in one eye which can be turned on and off.
    2. Geass permanently on in one eye.
    3. Geass permanently on in two eyes.

The main thing that contradicts this is the fact that the Emperor was able to turn his on and off and he had it in both eyes. Maybe he just had it in two eyes to begin with for some reason and it’s never become powerful enough to turn on permanently. It’s hard to say at this point.

However, this is the first time that we’ve clearly seen a Geass start in one eye and later appear it two. The Geass users that we previously saw with it in two eyes were never shown with it in only one, so we don’t know whether they started out that way or not. Still, it’s an interesting new bit of information on top of the deluge of info that we got from this episode.

    Kalessin
  51. Why did Charles care about C.C. if he was already immortal? How did he become immortal if V.V. hadn’t actually died yet? And how did Charles “kill” V.V. anyhow? It was Cornelia/Black Knights who did that damage to V.V.

The one big figure that is still completely shrouded in shadow imo is Marianne. I very very much doubt the official line about her death. An ace pilot who is still talking to C.C. and whom V.V. both loved and hated, and whom made changes to the guards to allow the assault to happen, and who’s body was taken care of only by Shneizel…what game is she playing?

I think Omni is 100% wrong about C.C.. She had her chance to die. She made a concious choice to live instead and strive for being loved. I doubt she’ll die at the end now, unless it happens in a matter that allows her to see how much she was loved. And since Lulu is the only candidate I can think of, the big question is whether Lulu love (ie: the type of love he has for Nunally) is going to be enough for C.C., or if it’ll require an actual boy-girl love for C.C. to put off death. Now, I’m firmly of the belief this isn’t a romance anime and what romance we see is there for shits and giggles, but I certainly wouldn’t mind seeing Lulu and C.C. going off somewhere at the end.

In a rational anime, we’d learn C.C.’s real name next episode as it seems she’s lost all memories from her Geass times. Lulu could also attempt to call her by it since he knows it and rationally, she shouldn’t have any idea what C.C. is supposed to be.

  52. That list of speculation/spoilers that Sunrise supposedly tried to get taken down from the blog where they were originally posted are looking more and more like they’re probably outright spoilers and not just speculation. At least 3 very specific spoilers listed there have come true:

    1. Rolo’s Geass is hard on his heart and risks killing him.
    2. Something happens to C.C. to make her revert to a normal girl.
    3. Cornelia is captured by Zero at the Geass Cult.

All of these were posted prior to us even finding out where Cornelia was and I’m unaware of any hints within the series that would imply that these events were going to happen. The speculation/spoilers that were posted are very specific; multiple have been proven correct; and none have been proven wrong. I’m really beginning to think that they’re actual spoilers that someone in Sunrise leaked out when they weren’t supposed to and the blogger in question posted them.

By the way, the spoilers mentioned are posted at the bottom of http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?t=67970&page=79 if you want to look at them. Word of warning if you haven’t read them, they’re quite specific and are potentially large spoilers if they’re correct. Take the events with C.C. That’s a big event to have spoiled, but that’s among the events listed in that post.

  54. hah this opens the door for SUPER HAPPY ending. i say cc will get her memories back(probably near the end) and then since geass revolves a lot about promises, they will fullfill theirs (NOT the contract, the promises made aside from that). cc promised lelouch that shed be always at his side, adn he said in R1 25 that if cc was he a witch then hed become a warlock (and also that she wouldnt be alone). SO i say that in the final battle vs. the emp lelouch will get him and his immortality(probably with the help of suzaku, hes the only significant person we know about, that knows about the thought elevator (not to mention that its required for a HAPPY ending that they join forces).
then they can rule DA WORLD and live happily together till eternity.

  56. so, what exactly is the point of the emperor having gotten VVs immortality? That only means hes the same as VV and CC now, so what can he do with that power that the two of them couldnt do before? Seems kinda pointless, unless that was a move of desperation

  57. Wow, great episode. Go figure that all C2 wanted was death, than again so is everybody who become immortal. I don’t believe that they died the moment that they pass it on, but rather become mortal and their memories erased like VV and C2. The nun just happen to kill herself when she was mortal again. I believe this is C2 true wish: Show Spoiler ▼

I guess VV is out now that he died. And other major characters will end up that way too with the remaining 10 episodes. I am up for a lulu x C2 ending, but why does he has to choose, I mean, emperor has many wives. So, how able lulu x C2 x Kallen x Milly x every other hotties on Code Geass? (But, I figure C2 would probably kill him before that happen)

    Questions left to answer:

How is lulu going to kill his immortal father?
What is Schneider planning to do with that weapon?
What really happen to lulu’s mother?
What is going to happen to Kallen?
When can we see Suzuka’s slow and painful death?
Is the Knights going to turn on Lulu?
Is there going to be Season 3?

and The Mother of All Question:
What is lulu going to do to the hopeless, obedience yet cute servant, C2? (I can think of a few things, but too bad I am not like lulu)

  58. Code Geass is just a thousand love stories wrapped around one another bound by fan-service, over the top dramatisms and giant robots. C.C doesnt want to die she wants to feel true non-geassed love. However, i am of the opinion that the futility of life will conquer love.

  61. Nina will blow the C. federation and USJ…

But i’m still thinking in… what the hell was C.C. doing with Marianne? they have a “geass relationship”, maybe? Did C.C. asked Marianne to kill her?…

    Z
  62. I think that it’s nuts to think that the emperor is stuck where he is. At least Lelouch wasn’t dumb enough to hope that he might be dead. I see three possible ways to deal with him at the moment.

    1. Make it so that he’s really stuck somewhere and can curse his immortality for the rest of eternity (the depths of space anyone?).

    2. Assuming that Lelouch still has his Geass, perhaps if it gets strong enough he can kill the Emperor. The fact that the Emperor was going to be the one to kill C.C. implies that it might be the case that anyone with a strong enough Geass can kill one of those immortal people (though maybe he could do it only because he was already immortal) as opposed to just the person who gave them the Geass.

    3. Can one of those immortal people survive the explosion of a nuke?

I suppose that since C.C. wasn’t killed but became mortal again, there might be a way to force to kill the Emperor without becoming immortal or to force him to lose his immortality, but given that it appears that it likely appeared to C.C. because Lelouch fulfilled her true wish, that seems less likely. But still, who knows? Before this episode we didn’t even know how C.C. became immortal in the first place.

    Kalessin
  63. They definitely didn’t make it clear enough as to why the Emperor wanted C.C. so badly. It doesn’t make much sense to me that he’d want he just so that he could fulfill her wish to die. If that’s the case, why didn’t he chase her down years ago, or just have V.V. kill her when she was with Marianne? It makes no sense to me for the Emperor to be tracking her down just to fulfill her wish.

My best guess is that after finding out that Lelouch had been given a Geass, he was afraid that Lelouch – or someone else that she contracted – would become immortal and be able to oppose him. By killing C.C., he avoids such a problem. That’s my best guess anyway.

I do find it kind of funny that my guess for what C.C.’s wish was was correct and yet not correct at the same time. It was her stated wish, but not her true wish. Given what her true wish was, it wouldn’t really have made any sense to promise to fulfill it anyway. Knowingly promising to truly love someone pretty much goes against the whole point of such a wish. She wanted someone to love her without being forced into it. Well, she got it, but she lost her memory as a result.

  68. Totally irrational thought on my side, but do you think Nunally might have a Geass as well? With all her handgrabbing and able to tell if people are lying to her or not (and the fact she’s keeping her eyes closed all the time) I don’t know what to think anymore XD

  69. Nunnally plot twist would be cool.

And then Lelouch would be conflicted once again, since he believes only one should carry the burden of Geass.

  71. It seems as if Damocles will be Schneizel’s country or something. I mean he has no use for that bomb against the EU or the Chinese Federation, like Lelouch he uses tactics to get what he really wants. What he desires the most is the throne of Britania, what better way to get it than totally vaporizing the emperor and blaming it on Zero. This is atleast my idea…………..

    Grimjaww
  72. WOW! This episode is awesome! I am a LuluXCC. Fan, and wow! this episode was great. A cliffhanger on what Lelouch would’ve said about C.C. being his (blank) lol, but so typical of Lulu to move away from the subject. Finally, they revealed C.C.’s past, hmm so she wasn’t the origin of geass. So I guess the Geass has long been around then, so now I’m hoping they’ll shed light on what is geass and its origins, in the third season maybe? Also, C.C. losing her memories, would mean that she lost her powers right? So this means that I guess she was reverted back to her childhood, when she was a slave, and before she met the nun.

Dam, I guess this means that the Emperor must have gained a power from C.C. LOL at the preview, I’m gonna look forward to the interactions with Lelouch and the “new” C.C. I wonder if Lelouch would start calling her true or real name the next turn? Since she wouldn’t understand that he’s talking to her, unless Lelouch say her name.

Gotta say this episode, showed how much Lelouch cares for C.C. despite not saying it at all, lol at how hard he denied that C.C. wasn’t important to him when he was in the World Of C. It was evident on how Lelouch declared that he will now allow the Emperor to take her away from him or was it something like to take anything away from him again (he only says this if it involves people that he truly cares for ex. his mother, Nunnally, Shirley, Kallen, and now C.C.)

And oh, man did anyone find the Lelouch glass bending geass technique just so Unreal lol? I mean I gotta love how Lelouch thinks of this stuff and how he executes this perfectly, loved how it reflected to the mirrors and then directly to the Emperor. Still this episode shows how Lelouch is way too kind, that’s why I thought that there was no way he could kill Suzaku or any friend for that matter; I mean even though he completely loathed the emperor his whole life, the moment he killed him, he felt regret and sorrow to the point of questioning how he just killed him off like that, even though he wanted to ask him a lot of things and wanted him to apologize to many. This was also evident on how Lelouch still asked the emperor about letting his mother die 8 years ago.

I guess Lelouch is quite different to Suzaku. I mean Suzaku killed his father at the spur of the moment, and decided to forget about it, and when he remembered it – he even said it was the right choice for “peace” of his country. However, even though Lelouch has the right to be angry towards his father, and even kill him – he still felt regret for doing so. Also as for Suzaku refraining from using the refrain doesn’t mean he is still in moral high ground. He already fell from moral ground, the moment he betrayed his best friend.

  73. This episode was pure, distilled winsauce. This seriously topped the part where Shirley bit the bullet and got pwned by Rolo in terms of awesomeness and “Ha ha! You’re fucking dead!”-itude. One thing though, whatever weapon Ms. Dyke was developing was most definitely not a nuclear bomb, at least in the conventional Fission/Fusion reaction terms. It seemed like it was comprised of an initial energy bloom that rapidly shrank back into itself, sucking all nearby objects and debris inward. Miniature black hole weapon perhaps? If so, it would be far more devastating than even the most powerful H-bomb, especially if such a reaction was achieved using a substantially lower amount of refined radioactive material than conventional nuclear weapons.

One more thing, that “one man” that the man who calls himself the Emperor refers to? Who else could it be but the true Master of Mankind? I’m talkin’ `bout the REAL Emperor baby! The badass, ork-bustin’, sword-wieldin’, primarch-creatin’, ‘Got pwned by Horus, but not before annihilating even his SOUL from the universe by fully concentrating his towering, gargantuan psychic power on him for a nanosecond’ Emperor. Yeah. Throw in some eldar and we’ve got ourselves a real show! OK, not really.

What? W40k kicks Code Geass’ ass, admit it.

The lead writer has stated that he recently finished the last episode of Code Geass ever. It was printed in a magazine and the translation of the article is at the top of
    http://koshimizu.livejournal.com/3953.html#cutid1

The second season will complete the story of Code Geass. I have heard the official site has an announcement of some kind with regards to a planned movie, but I can’t read Japanese, so I have no clue what exactly it says. As far as I’ve heard, however, it doesn’t say anything about the plot of the movie, only that it’s been announced.

  75. A more detailed list of info from the aforementioned Korean blog has been posted here http://koshimizu.livejournal.com/5071.html#cutid1 along with a list of rumors/spoilers that are not associated with that blog but which some people have claimed to be from there. koshimizu (the owner of the site) believes the items not from the Korean blog to be baseless. He doesn’t claim that the items from the Korean blog are correct, but apparently he’s had enough requests to post that information that he posted it on his site.

None of the items from the Korean blog have yet been shown to be wrong while some have turned out to be true. Many of the speculations/spoilers in the list are very specific. So, we don’t know whether they’re real spoilers that have been leaked or not, but they have yet to be disproven and they’re looking pretty accurate thus far in spite of how out there some of them seem to be. Word of warning: if they’re actual spoilers, they’re big spoilers, so read with caution.

  76. You know, C.C. is lucky that Code Geass is being done in a medium where it doesn’t work very well to have characters speaking multiple languages. That is to say, everyone in Code Geass speaks Japanese (or English for the English dub) and there’s never any discussion of multiple languages. Since the actors are only going to be speaking one language and the audience is only going to be speaking one language, the fact that characters would normally be speaking different languages is glossed over.

An example of whether this affects a story is Full Metal Panic. In the show, everyone speaks the same language (Japanese for the Japanese dub and English for the English dub). In the books, the Mithril folks speak English and most can’t understand Japanese. There’s one scene in the third book where Kaname and Sousuke are arguing in Japanese and so only Tessa understands them. In the show, everyone understands them and it changes the scene somewhat as a result.

To get back to my point about C.C., she’s lucky that Code Geass is TV show and not a book. Odds are that having forgotten everything prior to the age of 10 or so, the only language that she’d be able to speak would be her native tongue. And unless she was born in an English-speaking country, she likely wouldn’t be speaking a language that Lelouch could understand. Even if she was to speaking English, it would be a rather old dialect of it that Lelouch would likely have a very hard time understanding. As Code Geass is an anime and it would be a total pain to add a language barrier on top of C.C.’s other problems, they glossed over that particular detail.

My guess is that if the writers were actually paying attention to languages, then the Britannians would speak English (and so it would likely be English spoken at Ashford), but the Japanese would be speaking Japanese when they could. So, folks like the OotBK would probably be talking in Japanese normally. The Chinese would likely speak Chinese, of course, and the other countries that they controlled would probably be speaking their native tongues. The EU would probably be a bunch of different languages as it does now.

In either case, if Code Geass payed attention to languages, there would likely be a number of other issues as well. Lelouch would almost certainly have an accent when speaking Japanese for instance, giving himself away as being non-Japanese when he’s Zero. Now, he came to Japan when he was fairly young, so that might not have been a problem, but it’s certainly a possibility. Regardless, the whole point of this post was to point out that C.C. is lucky that Lelouch can understand what she’s saying since her native tongue would either be a language that Lelouch didn’t speak or a language that he did speak the modern version of but not her old dialect of it.

  79. @Kalessin

I don’t find it at all surprising that everyone in the show happens to speak Japanese since it’s a Japanese show. It’s the same deal here in the US. Often times we have shows and everyone just happens to speak near perfect English. This is never more present then in sci-fi shows. One of the worst perpetrators are “Stargate” and “Star Trek”. The only time they don’t speak English is when it’s used as a plot point. Though Star Trek eventually tried to explain it with the “universal translator” idea.

If you wanted to get that serious about it you would think that if Britannia was such a warmongering state that when they conquer a land they rip the people and land of the name and culture they would do the same with the language. The fact that Nina a xenophobic Japanese hater happens to speak perfect Japanese doesn’t seem to raise any questions. Many of the Britannian students openly use the Japanese honorifics to address each other.
I was surprised when I was watching the dubs, the episode that premiered the Guren, a girl off screen addressed Tamaki as, “Tamaki-san” even though in the Japanese version she said, “Tamaki-sempai”. the girl was off screen so it wasn’t like they had to synch up the dialog to anything.

Sometimes it’s best not to over thing things. Best just to smile and nod.

  80. Well, we must reckon that there is a high probability that Lelouch cannot give order to other people any more. This will be a major problem for him for the next 10 episodes for a lot of his strategy are based on this faculty. Well even if he becomes immortal, this will not help him for his fight. So this is not the major problem.

  81. Crappiest-animation-in-a-Code-Geass-episode-ever. Crappy execution as well, from Lelouch tricking the emperor to look in his eye with an instant magic mirrors thing (plus taking the pose when doing it), Charles taking V.V.’s immortality by dying, Ougi and Viletta’s stupid confrontation in the woods (can’t believe they resort to the most simple and convolute way to confront their past relationship), C.C.’s wish is revealed to be the most evident guess (Ah poor me, as I was starting to fall in love with Cheese-kun but it appeared he was already married now I wanna be dead), Suzaku’s own stupidity for waiting the very last minute to realize he is doing something he doesn’t want to (You can guess he will realizes at the very last moment that being a Knight of Rounds wasn’t a good move from the start), C.C’s past was rushed and beyond the revelations about immortality it was plain (still the mad nun is priceless “OMG I’ve been tricked!!!”), then C.C.’s mind switched place with Tchii leaving her trapped into the Chobits’s world, leaving you to wonder own dangerous the world of C can be… wait a minute, by the end you don’t even know what the world of C is! holy crap, they could have called this episode The Emperor’s Backyard it would have made a lot more sense…

Still hurray for Nunnally showing some resolve and Nina for creating Shneizel’s trump card.

  82. anyone think as well, thet lelouch will start telling the truth now?
he might get nunally/kallen back in the next 2 eps and he will talk to suzaku, then there are cornelia, jeremiah, viletta/ougi and sayako, lots of ppl who now at least part of his identity. id say hell have to tell about his identity at least to his inner circle.

about the nunally(and possibly kallen) rescueplan. anyone else think that hell use anya and gino for that? i mean it would be such a waste to not have them geassed at ashford(id give them a triggered order to get them both back to lelouch then stand down weapons, kills two birds with a stone)

  83. Heh. I guess CC wishing for death was no real surprise. But I think I heard Lelouch said that she actually has a diff. desire deep down. If it isn’t death, then what does CC want? To be loved for real?

I guess CC must love Lelouch. Knowing that she had a hard time living forever, she most likely didn’t want to pass that on to Lelouch.

I don’t normally say this, but I liked what Suzaku did. He finally noticed that in his bid to destroy Zero, he’s almost become like him. You gotta give him a little credit for that.

And, could that hand-lie-detection trick Nunally used be applied in real life? I guess it makes some sense. the pulse sorta quickens when you lie, and I think one could detect that through touch.

So Schnneizel gets the A-bomb (he calls in Damocles though)? In all honesty, I think that gives him a much better advantage compared to geass. At first, I was thinking that Charles was more powerful than Schneizel, and Schneizel more powerful than Zero. But played rightly, the A-bomb could give him an edge that’s so much better than geassing one person at a time. Hell, he may as well threaten Charles to hand over the throne right now!

  86. Wow, Lelouche might get his wish and get Suzaku if he plays his cards right. I mean looking how things are going, the emporer wants to use Nunnelly if Lelouche got his memories back, and you better believe Suzaku will try to protect her. WE might actually see both of them switch sides depending on the actions of the king.

Also, it finally makes a lot of sense why Suzaku is so concern about Lelouche being Zero again. It would seem that there was more chips on the table than just Lelouche’s wellbeing. Suzaku will more than likely try to keep Lelouche’s identity a secret, without knowing that it’s really too late. That means, even if Suzaku had found out earlier that he had his memories back …Lelouche had nothing to fear in being turned in.

    *Sighs*

His in the closet behave is really bothersome, because, Lelouche could have gotten everything he wanted through more open means. He is a prince for pity sake, and, if he could just Geass people into submission he could have easily made his way through the government. The road Suzaku took and the road Lelouche took should have been switched, and then it would have been over in a flash. Though, I guess then we wouldn’t have much of a series would we.

~_~ well it’s too much to hope for, but maybe if Lelouche & Zero gets together the Suzaku haters will stop.

I’m not at all surprised that they’re not worrying about language in Code Geass. As I said, given the medium (TV), it’s normal not to worry about it – if nothing else, because it’s a pain to do so. I would have been surprised if Code Geass worried a great deal about languages. It would be quite abnormal really.

I was mainly pointing it out because it occurred to me that technically C.C. would be speaking her native tongue which would have made things even worse. She is, therefore, lucky that Code Geass is being done in a medium where language is ignored.

Lelouch could never have created the OotBK as Lelouch. Even if he’d been Zero to the world (thus avoiding arrest), it’s doubtful that the members of the OotBK would have followed him had they known that he was a prince of Britannia. Ougi, Tamaki, and Kallen were freaked out enough in episode 12 of the first season when they found out that he wasn’t Japanese. Kirihara was seriously worried that if it became publicly known that Zero was a prince of Britannia people would think that it was all a game between the Britannians – that the Japanese were being manipulated – and not a true bid for independence by the Japanese at all. Zero is trusted enough at this point that he might be able to reveal his identity to more of the OotBK without causing problems at this point, but it would be a big problem if it were revealed publicly.

As for Suzaku knowing, do you really think that Lelouch could have been doing everything that he’s been doing this season if Suzaku had found out earlier that he was Zero? While Suzaku might not have reported that Lelouch was Zero in order to protect Nunnally (he likely would have tried to find a way to turn him in and protect Nunnally), he would likely have been able to slow down if not outright stop some of what Lelouch was doing. If nothing else, he could have threatened to reveal publicly that Lelouch was Zero – thus putting Nunnally in danger – in order to restrict if not outright stop Lelouch from doing anything. In such a case, Lelouch’s plans would likely had to have changed big time. It would have been a big problem for him.

Lelouch and Suzaku may very well come to some kind of agreement in the end, but if that’s going to happen, Suzaku is going to have to decide to abandon his current path. Lelouch will never start trying to change things peacefully from within (at this point, he couldn’t even if he wanted to) and Suzaku currently refuses to do anything else. They can’t work together when they’re on such divergent paths. One of them has to give in and it’s going to have to be Suzaku.

As for Lelouch taking Suzaku’s path to begin with, I don’t think that that path would work for anyone in the Britannian government short of becoming Emperor since the Emperor controls everything. As for Lelouch in specific, Lelouch was far enough down the totem poll that he would have had to kill a lot of his siblings to become Emperor even if he was still in line for the throne. And since he was an outcast and supposedly dead, he had no power in the Britannian government and no chance at becoming Emperor. Besides, Lelouch’s personality and circumstances are such that he’d never try and take such a path.

Really, if Lelouch and Suzaku are going to end up working together, Suzaku is going to have to give in. That’s the only way.

I mean come on, he is a “white reaper,” not a “white knight.” Yet, he still think he is a knight. 92. Good episode, finally we learn something about geass and C.C.
The more you use geass the more powerful you become, eventually when your geass is powerful enough you can kill the person who gave it to you and gain their immortality.
Interesting that C.C couldn’t get Mao to kill her. Judging from what we’ve seen permanent geass in both eyes is the final stage.
Ahh Nina’s going to blow up Lelouch’s island.

Also do we know where C.C comes from? For some reason I think she’s french but I can’t remember any reasoning behind that or if I just made it up >_>. She’s running around a battlefield in WWI or WWII. That might be where I got it from but it isn’t much to go on.

  93. As far as I know, we don’t know where C.C. comes from originally. Her memories clearly imply that she’s from a country in Europe somewhere, but that doesn’t really narrow things down by much. France is certainly a possibility, but as far as I know we’ve never been told. By far the most we’ve ever learned about C.C. was shown in this episode.

  96. @Cain
We don’t know whether Lelouch is immortal. All we know for sure is that C.C. appears to have lost her powers and her memory. Lelouch didn’t kill her and that seems to be how you would normally go about becoming immortal. C.C. losing her powers and her memory rather than dying appears to be something that’s never happened to one of the immortal folk before (certainly C.C. seemed convinced that she was going to have to die to stop being immortal rather than losing her powers and dying of old age).

Lelouch does not have the Geass mark on his forehead, but the Emperor had his on his hand for some reason (dramatic effect on the part of writers primarily I think), so that doesn’t necessarily mean anything. However, I’d be very surprised if he has become immortal. The bigger question is whether he still has his Geass. I’m guessing that he does, but there’s no way to tell at this point. He appears to have had plenty of time to put his contact back in, but none of the images of him in the preview show his eye with the Geass in it in spite of him being in his Zero outfit. So, I think that this is just one of those things that we’re going to have to wait for the next episode for.

  97. so there’s a big chance C.C. will die in the end? hmmm…it reminds me shirley lost his memories but still in the end dies and still fell in love with him, did i just see a pattern?

  98. I don’t think that we can really say one way or another whether C.C. is going to die at this point. Anyone and everyone can die in this show, but they really haven’t killed off many of the main characters – a number of minor/semi-minor ones yes, but not many major ones. However, given that they didn’t kill her off when it was the prime time to do so but instead gave her a chance at a normal life again, I’m willing to bet that she’ll survive the series. I think that the bigger question is whether she stands any chance of regaining her memories.

While C.C. isn’t actually dead, without her memories she’s more of a burden to Lelouch than an accomplice. He won’t abandon her but now he’ll be more alone than ever – especially with Kallen gone. He seems to be losing everyone and everything that he cares for one by one. Though I do find it interesting how they’re finding ways for him to lose those he cares about without having them actually die. That leaves it open for him to regain them later. Even if everyone were to be captured, turn against him, lose their memories, etc., as long as they’re alive he stands a chance of regaining them later.

A little maybe, but I don’t see much resemblance. However, a number of the characters look like other characters given the right expressions. For instance, I remember Cornelia a lot like Kallen in the scene where she first showed up in R2. If her hair had been shorter and red instead of purple, she would have been Kallen. In all likelihood, a number of such comparisons can be made if you start looking for them.

  100. No!! My long comment got erased… Im writing again…
Kallen come back soon, Lulu needs a shoulder to cry or bite, he needs comfort and a nanny for mentally 10 years old CC or CC, Chii mode; Im realy going to miss the old CC…

I declare my self a Kallen/Lulu fan, and a CC fan too, but seeing how things are going I must say: Lulu don´t get near Kallen, you bring bad luck!! Since every posible hint of romance that has been given to us had been screwed by sunrise, should Ill number all of them?? Euphies death(romance between Suzaku and Euphie, and friendship and crush with Lulu), Shirleys dead and CCs memories lost, even Kallen got herself captured (it was her fault but..), well there wasnt a clear development between Kallen and Lulu(just friendship), as it was with Shirley and CCs(more that friendship and accomplice feeling from both parts)…
I think that CC will die at the end, but like Lelouch said with a smile on her face, had being loved but not just the love as a woman from Lulu, but as a friend from: Marianne? Kallen? Kaguya?…
And then Nunally will be ruler or Schneizel… and then Lelouch go backs to school or college… or to the mainland with his sister…
And Kallen will be back to school starting where she left, and living with her mother and… father?? saying to Lelouch: Thanks for everything, and farewell!! and they go their separate ways…
And Suzaku… I was one that wanted him dead, but damn it (Why Clamp have to make him physically like Syaoran, its so hard to completely hate him, its like: Suzaku youre cute but please shut up! I hate your guts!) with the events that had been happening… its making him a bit likeable, so lets spare Suzakus life!!
Rollo… I like him, but his dead its inevitable, I just hope hell die happy and Lulu forgives him… he just wants and needs love… (ok that was fluff, but its true)
And for Vilelta and Ougi, I dont know, if there is future for them someone has to give up her pride coff coff Villeta… if there is a split of the OoBK, what will ougi do? follow his lover? or his dear dead friend´s little sister?… mmm stupi question forget it…
Those are my hopes… about the others… who gives a damn… ok ok just root for Cornelia!! and ANYA and Gino!! yah thats all..
Next chap seems pretty intersting… that Lucciano in Ashford?? and visiting Kallen… is she smirking?? And a world army!!! good!!

  101. Damn damn damn, posting this for the second time!! stupid lap!!
Please Kallen come back soon, Lulu needs a shoulder to cry… and a nanny for mentally ten year olds CC or should I say CC, Chii mode? Im gonna miss the old CC…
Im a Kallen/ Lulu fan, and CC too, but with the way things are going I say: LELOUCH PLEASE DONT GET NEAR KALLEN!! YOURE CURSED AND BRING BAD LUCK!! Since every hint of romance that they have given us has been screwed… Do I have to number them? Euphies dead (ok it was romance with Suzaku, but Lulu had a crush on her) Shirleys dead and CCs memory lost, even Kallen got herself captured (it was her fault… and hints of romance for them were more for friendship, not like Shirley and CC where we saw more development of his feelings and that wasnt one sided) you get the point no??
I think that CC will die in the end, but as Lulu said with a smile on her face, being loved as woman, but not only by Lelouch but by friends like Marianne? (she loved her right?)Kallen? Kaguya?… that would be cute ending for her…
And for Lelouch… he will live with Nunally (empress?? governor??), maybe goes back to school… who knows…
For Kallen, she still has to free her mother, so she´ll be with her i the new Japan, maybe finishing school… and saying o Lulu: Thanks for everything and farewell! and they go their separate ways…
Suzaku… I wanted him to die… but damn it (why clamp, why they made him physically like Syaoran, it makes hate him harder) with his recent actions I cant completely hate him, I like to see him back in school, with his face full of regret but somehow relieved…
As for Rollo, I konw many hates him, but I like him… he just wants and needs love… I know he´ll die thats obvious, but I hope he´ll die smilig too, and after Lulu has forgiven him, maybe in a self-sacrifice act…
As for the others Ill root for Ougi and Villeta (one of them has to give up her pride coff coff Villeta), Gino, Anya, Cornelia, Xinge and the lolis!! Viva!!
So what about the next episode, seems interesting a Chii- CC, Lucciano in Ashford?? and visiting Kallen? she is smirking?? and Cornelia with Lulu yey!! I cant wait..

  102. ugh why lelouch doesn’t get to see Marriane in C.C’s memories…. Now that C.C is lost her memory how her connection with Mariane will be revealed?
I have a feeling like Anya might be able to bring back the usual C.C

The episode itself was awesome, but the way the animation was done at some parts was just awefull, the emperor didnt look as awesome as he used to be animated in the previous episodes. Have a good look, it looks like a retarded twin brother of the real emperor.

I think that you’d have to point that one out. I recall no such thing. We saw C.C. die multiple times but as I recall she looked the same as always each time. 107. @org
C.C. asked the emperor why took V.V.’s “code,” but, of course, does not explain what that means. What it looks like happened is that the emperor was somehow able to take V.V.’s powers and without his immortality, V.V. died.

What it looks like happened with C.C. is that Lelouch managed to grant her true wish (as opposed to her stated wish) and fulfilling her wish removed her powers and memory. We can’t tell if Lelouch is immortal, but I doubt it.

In the case of the nun, it appears that the nun managed to force C.C. to kill her somehow (since C.C. obviously didn’t want to do it) and by killing the nun, C.C. became immortal. So, clearly, killing the one who gave you your Geass powers will make you immortal, but it’s also clear that that’s not quite the only way given V.V.’s situation. And given C.C.’s situation, it’s clear that killing the Geass-giver is not the only way to make it so that they die.

I do find it interesting that in the case of V.V., he retained all his memories after his powers were gone while C.C. lost hers. It probably has to do with how they lost their powers. Still, it’s not like the situation is very clear. We know a lot more than we did before, but there are still plenty of questions.

    Kalessin
  108. Have someone notice that lulu has destroyed the sword, so it can easily explain the fact that the laws of geass didn’t work well anymore (cc still alive, with no memories). But still a mystery about the origins of geass power? Maybe from Space, another planet?

Stupid charles, why to be immortal, can’t geass anyone anymore! Just able to make a contract with a mortal….to obtain what? Yes, we all know!
The VV- charles brothers always talk about it with a stupid mystery!(BLA bLA bla lies bla lies….)

  109. @shadowblack
That seems straight forward enough, though we still don’t know how the emperor swiped V.V.’s immortality without killing him. For that matter, we still have no clue what they mean by “killing the gods.” I’d have thought that that would be have been explained in episode 15, but while they managed to give us quite a bit of info on Geass, it was pretty much all information that related directly to C.C., so what “killing the gods” means was not on the list….

imo to clear things up CC main wish isnt to die… just look at the flashback
of course thats not to say that once she gets this wish she doesnt want to die.
Taking this into account her wish HASNT been fullfilled yet so thats why she has the mind of a child. She reverted back to a time beore she got her geass which warped he view. Of course i could be wrong and she could have just lost her memmories from almost having her “code” taken.

The Korean speculation/spoilers were a lot more specific than that:

“C.C. loses her memory as C.C., and becomes an ordinary girl.”

We’ve now seen it happen as crazy as such a prediction seemed when it was first put up. Personally, I’m starting to think that the items posted on that blog are actual spoilers. Of course, there’s every possibility that there are duds mixed in with the true spoilers even if they are indeed accurate spoilers, but thus far none of them have turned out to be wrong. If they are indeed all true, I think that that counts as a huge leak on the part of Sunrise. Someone working for them didn’t keep their mouth shut when they were supposed to.

    Kalessin
  115. @Kalessin Marianne is an ashford its her maiden name. They say it in season 1. I forget exactly which ep i jsut finished reseeing the season. After her death, the family fell from grace. Its also why the granmedey(however you spell it) or atleast its shell is in possession of the ashfords, which was piloted by her. Its the thing they used to make the giant pizza and nina had the nuke on in season 1. The earl lloyd actually wanted to marry milly to gain possession of the frame. he admitted to this when milly asked him.

    Quikstryke
  116. @Quikstryke
I know from the picture dramas that the Ashfords used to make knightmares and that the Ganymede was one of their models. They went out of business because Milly’s grandfather spent too much money on parties. They had the Ganymede because they created it. Marianne worked with them on it. As for Marianne being related to them, I know that I’ve heard that somewhere but there was a discussion about that here an episode or 2 back and none of us could recall where it was actually said that Marianne was related to the Ashfords. Certainly wikipedia doesn’t say that and I don’t recall it being said within the show. It may very well be the case that it’s true – it may even have been mentioned in the first season – but I don’t know where it was said.

Could you please try and find where they say that? IF they say such a thing anywhere, because so far every time someone says that it’s like “I’ve read/heard that somewhere, but I can’t remember where.”

  118. The related item that I’d like info on is how on earth wikipedia can claim that Lamperouge was Marianne’s maiden name. Obviously, wikipedia says whatever people chose to put there, so it’s not exactly the most reliable source, but somebody seemed to think that it was correct and put it there. My guess is that they simply assumed that that was where Lelouch got his fake last name, but I don’t know. As far as I know, we have never been told either where Lelouch got his fake last name from or what Marianne’s maiden name was.

to me it made the impression that vv did loose his memories, at the very least u cant say one or the other for sure. he remembers the contract with charles but that might as well be before he gained immortality.
there are some points though that are quite unclear to me. if its that hard to gain a geass strong enough to kill the contractor(cc said of all ppl only charles came far enough, then she contradicts herself saying lelouch should kill her, though that might be because theyre at the sword), how did vv gain such a geass at such a young age.
and finally why didnt cc just run of to the emp earlier?
about the god killing part. seems clear to me now that cc/vv and their predeccesors are the gods. it makes sense as stated above cause lelouch wouldnt be able to kill cc otherwise(his geass clearly isnt strong enoug yet).
another question arising is why charles wants to kill cc anyway, he already has immortality, my guess to that is that he wants to be the only “god”

It is mentioned in the anime, I don´t remember the chap, but it´s in the one of the attack of Narita, when CC is talking about why snow is white, she asks why Lelouch kept his cristian name but changed his last name for his mother´s maiden name…, or Lulu tells her that, I don´t remember who says whats, but that fact its cleared in that chap..

  122. @Muriel
I do remember C.C. asking Lelouch about why he kept his first name but not his last name. However, I don’t recall either of them discussing where the name Lamperouge came from. I’ll have to check when I get home tonight I suppose.

    Kalessin
  123. @Kalessin that ep just asks why lelouch kept his first name. it didnt clear up the lamperouge part. I think the part i was talking about though is between a conversation with milly and lelouch. I also think its around the first time milly tells him that she is engaged. If anyone one remembers what ep that is let me know. Such a pain going through every ep again to find this.

  124. I think Lelouch lost his Geass.
This could be seen when Lelouch was saving C.C. His left eye was purple (and it’s permanent right? He would have to put on his contacts to make it look normal). But when he saved C.C., I wouldn’t think he would change his contacts right there. But when you see a face shot of Lelouch, you don’t see his purple geass anymore.

Also, in the preview, there are no shots of him using his Geass.

  125. Lelouch might be immortal and now C.C doesn,t even have her memory i wonder how lelouch is gonna operate now without c.c been his backbone and kallen got lucky this week who knows what would happen to her they might use her as bait to locate where zero(lelouch) is because suzaku would rather use a better approach to find out his whereabouts than use refrain on her as for ougi and the dude i think they still alive

    Joi Flymez
  126. @kaesyoo
He had more than enough time to put on his contact (after all he had enough time to get out of his KnightMare). SO it’s too soon to say if he has his geass and/or immortality.

Remember how in the initial promos for R2 the permanent geass was nowhere to be seen? Just because his geass is not shown in the preview doesn’t mean he’s lost it…

  127. Well, it’s possible that I missed a scene since I basically fast-forwarded through all of season 1, but I only found 2 episodes in season 1 where Lelouch and Milly are talking alone. The first one is episode 15 (the episode where Mao kidnaps C.C.). Lelouch asks Milly to make the club house off limits for a couple of days and she asks whether anyone has found out whether he is a prince, but he tells her that only the Ashfords know. She consequently tells him about her new suitor that she can’t get rid of, but that’s about as detailed as it gets with regards to Lelouch’s family or the Ashfords. In episode 21 (the pizza episode), they talk alone a couple of times and Lelouch expresses concern about being seen on camera (since Milly got the press to come to see the pizza), but that’s as close as they get to discussing Lelouch’s past or the Ashfords.

So, I don’t believe that there is any discussion between Lelouch and Milly that reveals how Marianne is connected to the Ashfords. In terms of other places, that info might be…. As Quikstryke said, the discussion between C.C. and Lelouch at Narita in episode 11 where she asks him about keeping his first name doesn’t cover where his last name came from. I have not attempted to watch all of the conversations between Lelouch and C.C. (that’s a lot more than those between him and Milly), so it’s possible that either the connection between the Ashfords and Marianne or where Lelouch’s last name come from come up in one of those conversations, but I don’t remember that being the case. Certainly, as far as I know, Lelouch has no clue that C.C. knew Marianne.

Another possible source that I can think of would be one of Lelouch’s monologues, but those are also great in number, so I haven’t rewatched those either. I did, however, watch the Conversation between Milly and Lloyd about the Ganymede in episode 21. They mention that it was piloted by Marianne and was dropped out of the race for the next military knightmare frame after her death, but they don’t discuss what Marianne’s connection to the Ashfords was or why the Ashfords had it.

I can’t think of anyplace else that information about Marianne’s connection to the Ashfords or where the name Lamperouge comes from might have come up, but from what I can see, I don’t think that it does. I’d have to pretty much rewatch the entirety of the first season though to be sure. The only places that I remember information like that coming up were conversations with Milly, and I think that I covered those. So, I might have missed something, but it’s looking like it was never said within the show what connection Marianne has with the Ashfords or where the name Lamperouge came frome.

  128. Rewatching episode 15 of R2, I have to say that it does actually look like V.V. might have lost his memories like C.C. did. He was thinking back to when he and Charles were making a pact against lies. V.V. did not have the mark of Geass on him at that point and it looked like he was talking like he was at that point in time. C.C. certainly seemed surprised by how he was acting. So, it looks like he may very well have lost his memories. Perhaps Geass-people losing their powers always results in them losing their memories as well – assuming that they’re not dead yet of course.

    Kalessin
  129. well theres 2 ways to look at the lelouch being immortal situation it means he does lose his geass, which would mean the show would lose a fundamental aspect of it (cuz god knows how many times lelouch geassed someone) and i dont think the writers would make it that easy, especially if there is to be a third season or a code geass “destiny”. frankly the development with schnizel is a little slow still especially with all the hits they dropped that he will become a major player and the number of remaining eps for the season is drawing tight for any kinda decent development.

however if they dont intend for any further seasons, it would be an appropriate time to get rid of his geass and focus more on the war front. During his mind trip in the Sword of Akasha though it seemed like it engaged his reasons for wearing the zero mask in the first place. Both suzaku and the emperor now know he’s zero so its also probably also appropriate time for him to get unmasked and face the war as lelouch. its also the only way i see him and suzaku reconciling. i dont think suzaku could ever reconcile with zero, its something only he can do with lelouch.

  130. @Quikstryke
Per http://koshimizu.livejournal.com/3953.html#cutid1 (which got the info from a magazine), the head writer recently finished writing the last episode of R2 and basically said that it was the end of the story of Code Geass and that there would not be a third season.

I don’t know whether Lelouch still has his Geass or not (I’m not sure whether I’d be surprised either way), but I really don’t think that he’s immortal. He didn’t kill C.C. and certainly didn’t “take her code” on purpose. It is conceivable that he did it by accident, but making the main character suddenly immortal is arguably incredibly lame. It would make it really easy to get out situations that threatened his life and they already made a big point about C.C. trying not to curse Lelouch with immortality. Since it’s considered a curse, I’d fully expect that it’s something that he’d have to try and fix which would potentially be an entirely new tangent for a series that not only ends this season but which has already had half of that season shown.

Granted, “it would be lame” is not a great argument against Lelouch having become immortal, but I’d be very surprised if he did. I’d find it more likely for him to lose his Geass because C.C. lost her powers rather than him becoming immortal (and thus losing his Geass).

I’m unaware of any official spoilers that shed light on the matter and even the Korean blog spoilers don’t really say anything on the matter (though honestly, if they’re real spoilers, I’d have thought that Lelouch losing his Geass or becoming immortal might have been big enough to make the list considering how many other major, quite specific spoilers made the list), so I guess we’re really just going to have to wait and see.

  139. In a way Lelouch already lost Kallen to Suzaku when he took her away.

I’m fairly certain that C.C. will get her memories back. They still haven’t explained those odd conversations she has with Marianne and what she saw in that moment with Anya.
There have been rumors that Anya is really Lelouch’s ‘real’ sister. I think that’s silly. The only thing Anya has in common with Marianne is her hair style when she was young. My thought it that Anya was promised to Lelouch in some kind of arranged marriage.

  140. @Remmell
Well, it’s true that Lelouch has already lost Kallen, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that once she’s back he won’t tell her that he doesn’t want to lose her. It just makes it more likely for him to say that he doesn’t want to lose her again.

As we don’t really know why C.C. lost her memories (it looks like she lost them because Lelouch fulfilled her true wish, but we can’t really say for sure at this point), we can’t really say whether she’ll get them back. The fact that she seemed to have her only special, little world with her memories in there would probably increase the chances of her getting them back – particularly if Lelouch does something more with the thought elevator later.

I suppose that we might find out C.C.’s secrets from someone else, but there isn’t exactly a long list of people who might know them. The best bet that I see for that would be if Marianne was somehow not actually dead, but that’s definitely a long shot (though it would help explain how C.C. was able to talk to her). By far the most likely way for us to find out more about C.C. is because she regains her memories, but we’ll have to wait it see. Still, as interesting as it may be to have a memory-less C.C. for a bit, it’ll definitely be good to get the “real” C.C. back.

Really, Lelouch stands a chance of getting back anyone who isn’t actually dead (the two major ones in that category being Euphemia and Shirley). It’s pretty much a guarantee that he’ll get Kallen back at some point. I expect that most of us fully expect him to get Nunnally back in the end as well. It’s certainly a possibility that C.C. will regain her memories at which point Lelouch would have her back. Anyone else that he loses but who doesn’t die stands a chance of either returning to him or making up with him or whatever it takes to undo whatever happened to make them “lost” in the first place.

  142. You know all this guessing about the next episodes is kind of dum, and the spoilers kind of ruin this area. No offense, but, if you spend too much time thinking about what will happen next you will only care less and less about seeing the next episodes, and any discussions about the current episodes will be mute. You know slight predictions are good, but, two to three episodes are a bit much.

The fact that ever thread has show spoilers …is kind of sicken now.

Humph, anyway, Suzaku’s situation seems to be getting worst and worst. He is caught between a rock and a hard place with Nunnella and the fact that he had just recently discovered Lelouch’s identity is going to make things worst. Or maybe, he is going to start covering for him now to protect Nunnelly.

As for Lelouche getting back anyone …I don’t think that is going to happen. To be quite frank, I kind of think Lelouche is going to die a marty …you know the fact that he wipe out all the other Geass users seem like foreshadowing for all Geass death. Though that is just my prediction, and it’s probably totally untrue, so no spoilers necassary.

    Silentveil
  143. Don’t whine about it. Any spoilers I talk about in coming episodes are blocked and hidden as spoilers so it’s your own fault if you open and read it.
It’s a good thing I guess that those Korean spoilers don’t talk about events in the last few episodes. Just some of the events that lead up to them.

It wouldn’t matter if Suzaku covered for Lelouch. The Emperor already knows Lelouch has his memories back. Like in the preview Lelouch says he has a plan to save Nunnally, but an important part of that plan is that the Emperor is stuck in that space he left him at.
Either way Suzaku is right where he put himself and Nunnally by turning Lelouch into the Emperor. He has no one to blame, but himself there.

  144. With C.C.’s mind of a 10 year old slave girl, it’s unlikely the there will be a Lulu x C.C. relationship at this point because Lelouch was attracted to the old C.C. the Witch.

Personally, I would rather see Lelouch with one of the female characters. And if Shirley is any indication, Milly Ashford will be the one to remain at Lelouch’s side. If the Order of the Black Knights decides to leave Zero, Kallen will likely to follow them. But she’ll still believe in Zero, no matter what. So that leaves the door wide open for Milly Ashford to enter into Lelouch’s life. And she will not take no for an answer.

At least those are my opinions. Only the upcoming episodes will tell if my theories are true or not. But it would give the chance for Milly’s character get some serious screen time than in past episodes. And in order for that to happen, Shirley, Kallen, and C.C. would have to be removed from Lelouch’s life because their wasn’t any time to develop her character at the time. Too many women around one guy is very hard to give equal screen time development. So, reducing that number down allows lesser female characters greater screen time to develop increase interactions with Lelouch.I do hope to see some increased screen time between Milly Ashford and Lelouch before the series ends because it is long overdue.

    Max
  145. If they had planned to take the other girls around of Lulu out to developed Milly´s character, they wouldnt have bothered in taking Milly out of Ashford…
The next episode will be just black knights, britanian knights and the Union Nations battle… the only to characters to develope will be the others knights of rounds…

  146. I don’t know. Even with Milly out of school they haven’t taken her out of the story. She’s been appearing still. She’s even still in the opening.

I noticed in this picture. https://randomc.net/image/CODE%20GEASS/CODE%20GEASS%20R2%20-%2015%20-%20Large%2039.jpg Where it says, “STATUS” it looks like it’s ‘Vanished’. That’s weird. Looks like my theory is right and this bomb is some kind of Vacuum bomb of a Gravity bomb. Somethigng that expands and then collapses in on itself.

  147. The most likely girl to end up with Lelouch at this point is Kallen. Shirley’s dead. Milly doesn’t have regular contact with him now (and since she’s never really made an active move towards acquiring him, it’s not like she’d end up with him anyway given how he is). C.C. is definitely going to be with him physically, but mentally, she’s a child now. She’s not fit to be a love interest at this point. Kallen, on the other hand, is alive and well. All she has to do is get free from Britannia and she has every opportunity to be with Lelouch.

Really, if Lelouch is going to end up with anyone at this point, the most likely is Kallen. The only other person that I really even see as a possibility is C.C. – if she ever gets her memories back. And given how Lelouch is emotionally, it’s not like he’s likely to choose one girl over another (particularly since romance isn’t exactly the main focus of this show). I see three possibilities for Lelouch’s love life if C.C. gets her memories back:

    1. Lelouch ends up with both C.C. and Kallen (the emperor has multiple wives, though I’m not sure anyone else does).

    2. Either C.C. or Kallen dies (leaving him with the other one).

    3. He doesn’t end up with anyone (be it because he dies or he just doesn’t actually get together with anyone).

Given how the overall situation keeps changing and how it looks like it might change even more drastically over the next few episodes, it’s really hard to say what they’re going to do with Lelouch romantically. While there are multiple girls that have been important to him over the course of the series and they have all played crucial roles in various episodes, romance is not the core of this show and Lelouch is far from the most romantic guy ever. At this point, I don’t think that there is any way that he’s going to get together with anyone other than Kallen or C.C. but it’s totally open as to whether he’ll get together with anyone at all. We’re really just going to have to wait and see.

What I don’t get is how anyone can really think that Milly getting together with Lelouch is anything other than wishful thinking. While she might very well be a decent match for Lelouch, she’s never really gone after him romantically (much as she might have wanted to) and she’s now been pretty much written out of the story.

    Kalessin
  148. Here is the current character chart for Code Geass: http://geass.jp/correlative.html

I can’t read a lick of Japanese, so I don’t know what any of it says other than what you can determine from the layout and what I alredy know. For instance, several characters are greyed out and marked with some red kanji. All but one of those characters are dead and all the ones that are dead have the same red kanji, so I’m assuming that that’s what their red kanji basically says. Milly is the only other character greyed out and marked red kanji who isn’t dead, but her kanji says something else. I’m guessing that it’s basically indicating that she’s gone from the show, but I don’t know. This is definitely one of those times that being able to read Japanese would be nice, but oh well. It’s interesting to look at and at least gives the impression that they’re saying that Milly is definitively gone from the show as an active character.

    Kalessin
  149. Milly is gone from Ashford Academy as a student. She hasn’t left the show. To be honest, until we can see some increased interactions between Milly and Lelouch in the upcoming episodes, I will not post any more comments about her character. I’ll let the upcoming future episodes reveal that. Otherwise, my theories about a possible Milly X Lelouch relationship will be nothing more than wishful thinking, as most of the fans have stated.

    Max
  150. @Max
Well, Milly and Lelouch might not be all that bad a pairing. I just don’t think that there’s really anything in the show to support it. Lelouch isn’t all that outgoing in going after women, though he does manage to have quite a few that would like to go out with him (practically the whole school it seems). Whichever girl that gets him is likely going to have to be quite close to him and be at least somewhat aggressive about it or it’ll probably never happen. Lelouch is going to have to really care about the girl to go after her himself.

Milly is somewhat close to him, but she doesn’t spend much time with him (even in season 1 she didn’t spend a lot of time with him when compared to some of the other female characters) and now not only is Lelouch seemingly pretty much gone from school more or less permanently, but Milly isn’t certainly is. They amount of contact that they have is going to be quite small. She may pop up in the show from time to time, but it’s highly unlikely that there will be any opportunity for Milly to get closer to Lelouch. Milly may technically still be in the show, but at this point, it looks like she’s as good as gone for the most part.

It is conceivable that depending on how the show ends that Milly and Lelouch might have the opportunity to get together sometime after the end of the show if he hasn’t died or gotten together with someone else by that point. But even if that were the case, it’s not like we’d ever see it since it’d be after the show had ended. So, while seeing Milly and Lelouch together could be interesting – and I can certainly see why you might want that to happen – I just don’t think that there’s much chance of it.

Who said I looked at them, but when every other message has spoiler on it …it gets kind of annoying.

I have to agree with the Lelouche part, he should have put a bullet in Lelouche’s brain and all of his problems would have been solved on the day that he captured him. But you know, being the good guy he is …he just let his memory be wipe. Hell, Lelouche is already dead according to the show, so putting a body in an empty grave wouldn’t have been anything. No one would even look for him. Suzaku could have a million reasons for the bodies disappearances, and with that Nunnelly’s secret could have been saved. Then Suzaku could have stay in the military and never bother wth Nunnelly again.

THat would give everyone a real reason to hate him, but instead, he simply turns him over the Emporeor. Geesh, you got to hate the guy.

“Anonymous at 6:06 am on July 20th, 2008

Lelouch is immortal. His Geass deactivated! Now HE can issue the Geass to people!”

Somehow C.C. transferred her power without dieing and instead returned to the age and memories at the point where she first received her own geass 100’s of years ago.

Technically Charles could now give C.C. a new power and then C.C. take his code and life. Making C.C. and LuLu both immortal by the end of this show.

    That’s what I’m hopeing will happen. =]
