Summary:

Unaware of what just happened, Marina is asking the Katharon children what they desire. One of them wants clothes, another wants more to eat, but one of the children just wants to see his parents who are in Suihr. The reaction to the Memento Mori blast by the others is varied, with Ali Al Saachez and Nena being impressed whereas Sergei – who had survived – and Wang Liu Mei are shocked. The Katharon leadership is shocked as well when the news finally reaches them that the capital city was destroyed by a satellite weapon. A-LAWS officer Arthur Goodman, on the other hand, feels that this weapon means that they can literally wipe war off the face of the planet. Back on Lagrange 3, the test of the 0 Raiser ends, and Tieria, Allelujah, and Marie are all confused at what just happened. Setsuna calls it the 00 Raiser and feels that it has the power to change the world. Sumeragi meanwhile asks Lasse about his body data with concern about his future, but he feels that he can’t quit now. She’s not able to continue the conversation because Feldt suddenly reports of an abnormal heat source from Earth.

The crew of the Ptolemaios gathers on the bridge to hear about the satellite weapon, and Tieria wonders if this is the way Ribbons does things. Sumeragi decides that they’ll set out as soon as repairs are done to go destroy the new weapon. Tieria chooses this time to finally tell everyone about the Innovators who are manipulating the Federation. While this is going on, the Katharon leadership plans their own attack on the Memento Mori with 23 ships and 43 mobile suits, but they’re unsure about how successful they’ll be with the A-LAWS fleet stationed there. Back on the Ptolemaios, Tieria finishes explaining how the Innovators are bio-terminals produced by Veda and how they’ve been responsible for a lot of what’s happened. He also mentions how the Innovators claim to be continuing Aeolia’s plan and how Celestial Being might be the ones committing heresy. The others try to convince him that that’s not possible, and Setsuna vows to destroy A-LAWS and the Innovators. Sumeragi makes Tieria realize that what they have to do now is to destroy the satellite weapon and that he’s one of their friends.

At the Innovator base, Nena asks Wang Liu Mei if she intends to abandon Celestial Being and support the Innovators instead, but Wang Liu Mei feels that they won’t get to true change with such a way of thinking. Nena isn’t sure what that means, so Wang Liu Mei tells her that she’s not as special as she thinks she is. Nena in turn thinks to herself about how Wang Liu Mei is cooperating with the people who killed her brothers. Back in space, the A-LAWS fleet that is led by Kati is approaching Lagrange 3, and Revive and Bring set out to find the specific location of the Celestial Being base. In pilot’s locker room, Barack Zinin checks up on Louise, and when she notices a photo of him and his wife in his locker, he reveals that she was killed two months ago by a Katharon attack. Over at the Celestial Being base, Lyle is talking with Anew about the new systems added to the Cherudim and the Seravee Gundams, however she notes that adjustment work still needs to be done on the 0 Raiser to match it to the 00 Gundam’s Trans-Am system. Anew also reveals that she’ll also be joining the crew of the Ptolemaios.

Out in space, Revive flies the Gadessa around the general area of the asteroid field and sends out some quantum brain waves. Marie immediately senses them, but she has no idea where they came from and who they’re going to. The answer to the latter is actually Anew, and this allows Revive to figure out where the base is. This also causes Anew to zone out for a moment, and although Lyle notices, Anew claims that it was nothing. Sumeragi then gets on the asteroid base’s intercom and announces to all the Celestial Being members there that they are to destroy the base and withdraw elsewhere after the Ptolemaios is finished resupplying. Mileina and Ian part ways with Linda at this point, and Saji decides to stay on the ship. However, moments later, the base gets attacked from all directions by A-LAWS. While the non-Ptolemaios crew starts taking off in transports, the Ptolemaios and the Gundams head out into battle, and Sumeragi assigns Allelujah to escort the transports until they’re safely away. The asteroid explodes as the Ptolemaios exits.

Kati has several tricks up her sleeve for this assault, including a hidden group of mobile suits that immediately heads towards the Ptolemaios. Sumeragi sends Setsuna against them, but the 00 Gundam initially has trouble in the electrical field that this group sets up around it. Tieria then attempts to fire the Seravee’s twin buster cannons at the enemy mobile suits, but the shot is blocked by Bring’s cloaked Garazzo. What’s more, Kati has set up the Gadessa to fire at the Ptolemaios from a distance with its GN Mega Launcher, and it successfully hits. This causes damage to the hanger on the Ptolemaios where Ian is, so Sumeragi sends Saji to check up on him. When Saji gets there, he finds Ian injured, but the 0 Raiser is okay and the adjustments to it are done. Ian wants Saji to take it to the 00 Gundam, and although Saji initially cares more about Ian’s well being, Ian makes him understand that it’s to protect everyone. Sumeragi and the others are surprised when they see Saji in the 0 Raiser’s cockpit, but they let him go because Ian told him to and because he has Haro helping him.

By this point, Kati is growing confident that they’ve won. She feels that mankind can’t escape from fighting, and that’s why she and Leesa chose to be tactical forecasters. Kati sees the eradication of war as only a dream and vows to show Sumeragi that. Setsuna meanwhile has the 00 Gundam break free of the electrical field, and he battles Andrei, Louise, and Barack Zinin until the 0 Raiser arrives. Saji and Setsuna then dock the two units, creating the 00 Raiser, and Setsuna uses its new speed to destroy Barack Zinin’s Ahead. With the Garazzo now approaching, Setsuna decides to start up the Trans-Am system, and to his surprise, that enters him into an ethereal world where he can hear the voices of all the pilots around him. Saji can hear them too, and his attention is drawn towards one in particular: Louise’s. She is able to hear his voice as well, and the two soon realize he’s in the Gundam and she’s in A-LAWS. However, neither of them can understand why the other is here.

I started this episode a little disappointed that none of the surprises from the very end of last week panned out to be anything major – mainly, Sergei was still alive and Hallelujah wasn’t back permanently (more on this in a moment). However, by the end of the episode, I was quite impressed by intensity of the battle that had taken place and the ending that had Saji and Louise finally realizing that they’re on opposing sides. That’s something that I’ve been waiting for a long time to see, and it was exciting because of the potential ramifications. Neither might want their sides to fight each other in the fear that the other will be killed, and their relationship may ultimately be proof that love is greater than war. Saji already looks pretty distressed in the preview for next week.

Battle-wise, the exciting part of the episode was the 00 Gundam and the 0 Raiser finally combining to make the 00 Raiser. Adding the Trans-Am to that combination appears to lead to all sorts of magic, as first demonstrated during the test started at the end of last week’s episode. I questioned how Tieria’s hair went from long last week back to short in the same shower scene this week, and the my only conclusion was that it’s an effect of the Trans-Am/0 Raiser combo. Hallelujah’s brief appearance seems to be because of that too, and it might mean that he will come back out during a critical moment in a later battle. The big eyebrow raiser (no pun intended) in the battle this week though was the ethereal Newtype-ish world that Setsuna and Saji showed up naked in. That setting is new to 00, but fans of the Gundam franchise might recognize the general concept from past series such as Gundam SEED Destiny. It’s not clear whether that’ll have any purpose other than to make Saji and Louise realize they’re on opposite sides, but it wouldn’t surprise me if Marina eventually appears in front of Setsuna in that way as well. In any case, the battle’s not over yet, and the preview suggests that there might be a few more surprises in store, especially for Ribbons.

  1. They’re nakid because, basically in a weird twist, the massive levels of particles 00+0riser just shat out connected them mentally like how Marie and Allah, also how the innovators can connect to each other mentally. The “new world” is just a collective consions type thing going on. But when everyones in limbo together who knows how they picture/view the others in there?

Sure you could have cloths, but I suppose they’re trying to point out that it’s each persons mind/soul/whatever and not their physical body there, thus they made them nakid. If they had cloths and without trans, just looking at the shots you’d think they were somehow sent to some magic place physically. This mental connection is also apparent from the reaction Allah and Marie have due to their quantum-brainwaves.

Really, it’s not weird I suppose, though, *shrug* I guess we’d rather just have the girls nude. =P

  2. “i don’t beleive that a-ead can defeat it since exia trans-am is”
As I stated before, Single furnace Trans-AM is very limited in its power gain, effective time and its vulnerability after cool down. Graham Aker, Ali al Saachez and even Devine/Bring can weather the storm and take it out during cool-down.

As last EP shows 00 Trans-AM is the real deal, once activated its either a route or pawnage.

  3. There is a maybe hint. Wang Liu Mei is getting more suspicious than ever. She shared the maybe common vision as Ribbons. There maybe (just maybe) possibility Sergei will join Celestial Being later in the show. I dont know. Just from the looks of the show.

Hopefully Tieria will discover more of Innovators’ other plans later.

  4. @dh19440113

It’s not really about sides for her, she just wants the world to change so she’s playing both sides when it helps her own goal. I hope to god she either dies or at the least loses some body part as a sorta universal bitch-slap for playing with everyones lives.

As for Marie/Soma, Unlike Allah and Hallah, I don’t think she switches back and forth now? I think that Maire/Soma have merged together into one, and since Marie is the original that’s the personality that’s stuck, but her Soma side/memories and above all, feelings are all there and shared as one. While with Allah and Hallah it’s a clear split between the two, they’re totally different and don’t share the same feelings really. I haven’t seen the episode either but that’s what I think atm regarding Maire.

Yes and Charly Chaplin, and some other things from the previous era!….
C’mon stop bitching, we’re a few years later here if you ahven’t noticed, alot of stuff changes amongst them the way modern shows are made. If you don’t like the “new”stuff then go watch Gundam 0079 for the rest of your life.

There’ll always be people who will come down to these blogs and complain about how the modern shows suck, and I’m getting so sick of it.

And yes I do know that what I typed above won’t have any effect WHAT SO EVER, but i had to get it out for once -.-.

  6. Where is soma’s Gn Archer?
Ribbon’s stunned, Meaning A-law lost the battle again.
How predictable, saji pilots o Raiser.
Anew being a spy will be the next scenario.
someone died this ep as predicted, and kataron is going after memento Mori gets owned and CB saving the day.

  7. Sunrise is a closet pervert. You know the gundams technically have no cloths right? You can see the bare white skin, while A-Laws suits at least have red tights lol. I can almost see it, VirtuexDynamis…ArioxKyrios!! Oh, the many possibilities!!! XD

    Mira
  8. @whispo Lol depending on your age now youll be like that someday! (trapped in the past with no hope for escape!) its what happens with a series like this which is a rehash of old ones again and again

  9. The cockpit of the 0 Raiser has to be the single most uncomfortable place in Gundam 00 history. A real puke machine sitting backwards in a forward moving vehicle.

    Just guessing
  10. @Just guessing
Yes, sadly, after seeing the sequential scenes ([1], [2]) that showed Revive Revival and Anew Returner, it really looks like that she could be an Innovator spy who infiltrates into Celestial Being organization.

There is a theory about the Innovators come in pairs, and in each pair, one is more tactical and good at fighting and the other one is more analytical and good at strategy. Ribbons Almark & Healing Care, Regene Regetta & Tieria Erde, Bring Stabity & Divine (another Innovator with red hair).

Comparing the scene from episode 25 in the last season and one of the scenes in the opening song, it appears that there should be two Innovators with lilac colored hair.

  11. hm….
Why does this feel simlar to Evangelion?
Maybe the Aeolia real plan is to connect everybody consciousness to become one using GN Particle???
    Sound like Instrumentality Project…
(although the Instrumentality Project merged all the consciousness rather than connect them…)

  12. A truly amazing episode. I hope Saji doesn’t punk out of piloting O Riser after his revelation that the woman he loves is on the other side and has been killing people.

Still what if the plan all along is to link people with GN Particles? With Innovators at the top dominating the semi hive mind that would be formed? Forcing their will on others?

During the first season, was it really necessary for the containers on that island where they kept Dynames, Exia, and Kyrios at times to continually spew out GN particles? I know they cancel out radar and jam electronics. A handy stealth feature of GN drives.

But you would think that island was significantly away from any major shipping and or flight routes as to avoid detection. And suddenly having your radar go out on you and suffer radio equipment failure when passing by the same area. Would be more of a dead giveaway than anything else.

Furthermore the whole spewing GN particles into the atmosphere in the middle east to jam communications and prevent outside access? Nah, the Middle East is going to be the test bed of the Innovators real plans. To mentally enslave humanity, to dominate their wills on a truly personal level.

Bandai in recent years have made a habit of “borrowing” plot lines between shows. My brother pointed this fact out when he watched Gundam Seed then Code Geass and a few of their other programs.

Code Geass was all about control over another against their will via Geass as well as world domination as the goal of a single individual who used his family, the Emperor in Code Geass. And Ribbons and the Innovators in Gundam 00, to carry out his plans.

Maybe I am over thinking it, but the whole Saji, Setsuna, and Louise linking thanks to the high output of GN particles from OO seems like a big clue to me though.

    Bluevirage
  13. We have a several options:
    1) Aeolia really did plan for the innovators to bring humanity into space as stated by Libbons.
    2) Aeolia really didn’t plan for the innovators to do this because in doing so led to the activation of the Trans-AM system as well as the Twin-Drive System which he deemed unnecessary on account of the gundams being powerfully enough already.
    3) Aeolia made the possibility of both options 1 and 2 in an attempt to see which one humanity would rather have. It was mentioned that he grew “attached” to the meisters and thus entrusted them with his Twin-Drive theory. In season one he mentioned during that speech after the activation of Trans-AM about how the meisters might not agree with his ideals, this may signify that he sees them as a seperate existance and recognizes them as such. Of course, I could be reading to much into this. It looks to me like Aeolia set up this plan as an attempt to make a barren wasteland, and the side that prevails will be the one to rebuild it.

It sounds like a scam XD.

  14. Uhh.. I liked the naked Setsuna & Saji scenes. lololol XDDD
And it seems like Saji will be well-animated next episode. ^^ Sometimes he looks like he has a receding hairline. XD; And some people were predicting that he wouldn’t get a color.. I guess they were right. =[

  15. The ending of episode 10 was amazing. Left me so excited for 11. And then they don’t even let Hallelujah have any time =/

WHY MUST YOU TEMPT US SO!?!?!

Hoping next episode, Setsuna and Hallelujah go grape some A-LOLS. Less of CB getting graped, and more of A-LOLS getting it.

And now that CB has no more base, they’re pretty much screwed if they need repairs. Or maybe that’s where Kataron will come in.

And Lyle the playaaaa. Wonder if he will go mofo once he finds out Anew ain’t who she says she is.

  16. The last time I saw a number of Newtypes in an alternate universe at once was Z Gundam (3-4)… woah. Can’t wait for the next encounter, as well as new episodes. This is getting good. Btw, does Celestial Being have an army now, like AEUG? I’ve always thought it was the ship being Celestial Being itself.

    leoh
  17. From the gSS subs:
    “Well then, will you respond?”

That’s what Revive said when he sent his quantum brain waves. IF the translation is correct, then it implies that he wasn’t sure he would get an answer. That’s quite interesting. I wonder if it’s possible that Anew really didn’t know what was happening? Could she be unaware of what she is? Or have a split personality, like Ale/Hale? Or am I just thinking too much? Darn it, I wanna watch the next ep!

Hopefully Bring will die next ep. It would be a waste if all 00 does is to destroy a few of the regular suits.

  18. It’s funny how everyone thinks Anew is a problem, I think it was just clever editing.
They didn’t show Tieria at that time, and he is a newtype(whoops innovator) like them. I’m not saying he contacted them, but innovators probably can feel each other.

And another isn’t there way too many strong bad guys, geez. CB is going to need some help from now on. What I want to happen is see the Ptolemais transform into a gundam, not that would be pawnage. Not likely to happen though.

    kayne001
  19. damn this episode was epic. 00 trans am huh, can’t wait to see it. Too bad Allelujah’s gN archer showed no action today…

Tieria’s twin buster cannons didn’t look that different lol. They said cherudim and seravee got upgrades. I’m guessing those buster cannons were it. Cherudim? i think its only its gun, but even then i saw no difference since he had such little scenes.

but dang, lagrange 3 got destroyed. Never expected so many people affliated with Celestial being also, was quite a surprise seeing all those people working at lagrange 3. Also, with that much manpower, why are they all working solely only on ptolemaios and 4 gundams? I’m pretty sure they could at least set up unmanned auto guns around lagrange to give it some defence. And LOL why not a gn field around it too. They can use fake gn drives can’t they?

    Free yews
  20. @Free yews, I don’t think deploying unmanned auto guns is a clever choice, doing that is as good as telling the world “Hey I am right here”… I’m more curious on, why they didn’t detect enemy ship, don’t they have any active radar?…

    tabibito
  21. is it just me, or did the OO go so fast that it went around that huge asteroid and back-attacked the guy who was chasing him. watch just before the end credits when 0 raiser docked, louise and andrei shoot at setsuna, then the barrack guy chases him, then OO goes so fast that he attacked barrack from behind O_O

    unknown
  22. For those that wonder about the size of Celestial Being as an organization, the sidestory manga, Gundam 00F gives a quite bit of information about that.

Also… What bothers me most about the mind-link universe is the fact that they’re all in the sitting positions… Why can’t they just float around like normal mind-link people? Sitting is not a flattering position for naked people…

    Tofusauce
  23. I’m very impressed with this episode, & I’m impressed how Saji took it like a man when he piloted the O Rizer in the battlefield, & I’m also very looking forward to what will happened between Saji & Louise

I’m not sure about the nakedness though

    SilentmanX
  24. The whole naked imagery thing was sort of omgwtfbbq, and the way Louise and Saji realizing they were on opposite sides because of it was a bit… disappointing, since it takes potential drama, and/or proper facial contortions imo -_- Even if it is unique per se, the way the scene was done was really “WTF” to me, and out of place in general. I guess the word I’m looking for would be contrived in this case. I’d even go as far as to say it seemed convoluted at the same time if not for the fact that the series isn’t over.

    Rawr
  25. ok i figured it out, in the ending when there’s a curtain billowing and we see lyle standing there with a gun, its probably the innovator chick not felt, since lyle seems to like her and will have to take the decision to shoot her or not.

    jkfrgvjbr
  26. I can’t wait for next week maybe ALAWS squad will just break operation. Nena is probably going to kill Wang Liu Mei? Hope Ian is alright can’t let the master mechanic die. More drama for Saji and Louise hahahaha episode 12 will be about them two and people related. I believe Marie/Soma will figure out Anew Returner that she is a planted bug and expose her to the team.

Hoho here is my speculation :
1.)Marie/Soma figures and roots out Anew Returner.
2.)Louise and Saji plus crew will get involved about their loyalty or whatever.
3.)Nena questioning or intent of stopping Wang Liu Mei for her fallen brethren.
4.)The ALAWS and Innovators are shakin up
5.)I wonder what Graham is up to, maybe getting ready to even the playing field of 00 Raiser hahaha, I quite think so.

  27. im really surprised that Celestical Being has alot of Support Personnel in Lagrange Base… at first i thought that all of their manpower was done by automated robots.

I wonder why the Celestial being’s funds come from after season one?

Just how many Bases are there?

Will they be having a sort of mass produced CB mobile suits? (the Aheads, Gadessas are to much)

    Strike_Ranger
  28. I agree with mangaka-chan, I was disappointed as wells with this episode, but I showed it to by bf and he LOVED it. He kinda love tapped me at the fact that I said it was lame. IDK next week looks pretty good, just hope it isn’t filled with too much whining Saji…that gets old after a while. Makes me wonder too what’s gonna happen with Nena…her internal thought made me think she isn’t happy with what’s going on there. Will she do something or leave? Who knows.

P.S. Tieria looks HOT with longer hair!! 😀 XD

    Starfiregurl
  29. I don’t like the magical touch, when they come out naked-i find it very cliche. It seems to me that it’s becoming more and more like Seed-which I hated, for being so lame. I liked the fights, and all that, but that gay place Saji and Setsuna ended up, NAKED!!??? was overly pathetic, shame on them, shame on their lack of ideas-they had to reuse some stupid idea like that. They should keep it more real, and add a more gritty look of the events, I like G00, but that scene, I am so disappointed.

  30. No Sunrise, just no.

I know real-life physics doesn’t apply in mecha animes, but I can’t stop feeling that Sunrise thinks I’m a total dumbass, broking even the basic law of inertia at 20:18, and thinking I would accept that. I just felt weird when I saw that.

    Jun-01
  31. “What was that? I couldn’t hear you over the sound of how awesome I am!”

Was what I was thinking when it went Trans-Am. This may be a clue on why Aoeilia found that maybe Humanity had a chance and created the Twin Drive Theory. That maybe, deep down inside, humanity was thinking of how it could accomplish a peaceful world without war. Thus the change in his plan where he excluded the second and third stages of the original plan.

    DthGsOblvn
  32. @Jun
I’m too lazy to check that out, but I’m guessing that you’re talking about Saji’s pain in the Riser while Setsuna was just fine.

    Two things I will assume:
    – 00 Riser was still accelerating
    – Setsuna is more used to the sensation than Saji

And the nekkid thing…SEED and Destiny made it really lame hallucinations. At least in 00 it’s a plot mover.

    Vsin
  33. so many weirdos talking about naked people. wowzor. anyways on to the real focus of this episode….. the “PLAN”

aeolia’s initial plan to unite mankind has come to a halt when CB wasn’t destroyed, but his head being so big he came up with a back up plan that will unite humanity differently. and this is through GN particle manipulation.

enabling humans to connect with quantum brainwaves and possibly bringing dead to life psychologically, not physically. weird plan, but what will the so-called, children of aeolia do now that the back up plan is now implemented…..

    Frito the Gundam Nerd
  34. @Vsin

That scene didn’t make sense because Saji’s body was pushed against his seat. Considering that the 0-raiser’s cockpit points to the opposite direction of the reference point’s acceleration sense (the 00), things would had just to be the opposite: Saji would be thrown against the front of his cockpit. That’s what I was pointing in the last comment.

Sorry if this explanation doesn’t make sense. My english sucks.

    Jun-01
  35. saji is just a stabilizer, he’ll never fight nor try to kill anyone. he’s a like setsuna’s personal chaperon; taking the 0-raiser whenever he needs it. personally i would just have that haro pilot the machine as it is a more capable pilot. and yes new system implemented in seravee and cherudim. can’t wait what’s under the veil.

    Frito the Gundam Nerd
  36. finally tieria tolf them..-_-‘and looks like they’re starting to kill off the crew… we’re only at ep11 …-_-‘….and im kinda getting irritated with all the innovators showing up….hmph….

    yUkishin
  37. Nooo…the magical nakedness, brings 00 down to SEED grade there.

The new upgrade systems for cherudim and seravee are probably the cherudim’s defense-type fangs & the seraphim system for seravee.

And maybe the new lockon will discover that anew is connected to a-laws, but anew might be a unwilling spy herself. Looks like spies go with spies.

    Wassuper
  38. cherudim always had the shield bits. its not part of the the system, its part of its artillery i may add(the bits are actually the one shielding the cherudim’s gn drive that is conveniently attached to its ass for easy enemy access). the system they are talking about is probably some bogus trans-am mode that gives most of them godly piloting skills. tieria needs it.

    Frito the Gundam Nerd
  39. Does the nakedness bother everyone?

Jeez… if that’s all you’re focusing on you must be hmm I don’t know, attracted to it somehow? If you say you don’t, then why do you place so much EMPHASIS on something that doesn’t have to be so trivial? xP

    Xineohp Erif
  40. why do people hate the naked part of the episode.
its not like sunrise perverted the series just to pick up viewers <<.

ok! my opinion about the episode 11.
    1. Sad =(. many died at the colony, i hope Ian’s wife is ok xD.
    2. The speculation about Ian being dead is nullified =D ehehe Hope he is not confirmed dead next episode.
    3. O-Raiser in flight only (not in action), the episode shows only the speed,
i want to see 0-Raisers weaponry.
    4. Saji and Loiuse meeting in the battlefield (no comment xD)
    5. Anew the spy or she is not aware that she is planted to CB to be a spy?

what’s in my mind for next week episode?
    1. What will happen to Allelujah if he’ll be back in the battlefield?
    —————————————————————————————–

  41. Ah, I see. GN particles can be used as a catalyst for the Innovators to comm. But perhaps the 00 dispensing them at such a high rate can let normal people do it too. GN particles are pretty handy, they might even make foot powder or choco mix out of it next episode 🙂

    Fer
  42. The whole naked thing is a gundam traditional. Though seed was the most recent example, this goes back all the way to the first gundam show and especially the newtypes in general. Nearly every gundam since then has featured this in some way or other. Guess its hard to break with 30 years of the same old formula.

The battle plan in this episode was great, found the part when garazzo appeared out of the fake asteroid especially cool. Now that’s 00 has come out, looking forward to the look on setsuna’s face when he faces graham’s new suit with his requested ‘fastest speed’.

Feel sorry for Anew. From the looks of it, she doesn’t even know she’s being used. Then again if only her twin revive can connect with her (much like how regetta found tiera earlier) then she has a 50% chance setsuna kills revive next episode 😀

    BlackBishop
  43. Seems that a lot of people commenting on this particular post doesn’t have enough brains to realize that the nude scene was made to introduce the concept of connected consciousness and to ensure that you think that way and not get any ideas that they were floating in space (which could be the case if the filmmakers were to picture Setsuna, Saji and Louise in their G-suits). Geez, it doesn’t take familiarity with the Gundam universe to know that (metaphysical anthology, anyone?). If you’re already familiar with Gundam and is still complaining, seek out other shows since this has already become a part of the Gundam tradition.

  44. Yep. The naked pilots is a Gundam Tradition. To all people that whined about it that it is SEED all over again, please go watch the older Gundam shows.. preferably ‘when your parents were still dating era’

As for the OO GN dispersion, it reminded me of the newtype ways of the UC universe most especially during the Victory Gundam epoch.

V2 Gundam = 00 Raiser in terms of visual effects

  45. And yes, the GN particles in huge amounts actually might make normal people connect through their subconscious.

Heck, we may even go into Angel Halo type of storyline in V Gundam. Maybe the 00 Raiser can use its new power to actually coerce people to choose peace.

  46. NOTE: Please pardon me if I mentioned anything wrong, I am just putting forward my thoughts.

Frankly, I was both impressed and disappointed by this episode, as there are some things that are pretty predictable and I initially thought Serigei has died in the blast and hallelujah as well as soma are back to their old selves. However, sergei survived the orbital cannon blast, which means he will have a important role to play later in the story. I have a feeling that he will later oppose A laws and their combat doctrine, however that remains to be seen in future episode. I wonder what he will do later in the story.

As for hallelujah, I am sure that he will appear again if there is GN particles present, and I would like to see the cooperation between Allelujah and Hallelujah in the battlefield. Tieria, on the other hand, seems to have growing hair problems due to the GN particles; after all he is a hybrid mix of GN particles, flesh and blood. (in other words, an innovator, but a rogue one) I also wonder if CB will build a new suit for soma, as her abilities as a super-soldier would be more useful if she is piloting another gundam than on the polemy bridge, as she can provide additional support for the polemy in the upcoming battles. But due to the problem of GN drives, I doubt that a new suit will be built for her, which is a pity indeed. But I certainly hope so.
Ali and Nena, as well as Ribbons are like feathers on a wing, all laughing at their manipulation of the world and A laws to their liking. Wang Liu Mei, however, this is the first time I have seen her speechless face, and I think she is now questioning where her loyalties lie, with the innovators or with Celestial Being? However, she will ultimately side with anyone who grants her a changed world. I seriously think that she is merely a puppet of Ribbons, and will be killed if her usefulness runs out to him. (and maybe Hong Long will save her when Ribbons send someone to kill her)

Polemy Pilot Lasse, there is a mention about his medical records, and sumeragi is worried for him. This may be a hint about his injuries in Season 1 when he pilots the GN arms. I hope he won’t die at such a critical moment. As for Anew (she looks like a female version of revive) I have a bad feeling about her, as I think she might be a sleeper agent planted by Ribbons or Wang Liu Mei to destroy Celestial Being from within. And Indeed she is, my suspicions are right. Otherwise, how did the other two innovators manage to discover celestial being’s base? And somehow I think that Lyle may have fallen for her later in the story. Hence the scene at the ending “prototype” which he is seen with a gun and holding hands with a female hidden behind a veil of white sheets.

Kataron Kataron, why won’t you learn? Fighting A laws with your old Mobile Suits is not a good idea. Fighting such a powerful federation and A laws, you must at least have suits that can fight on a pair with them. I hope in the near future, these two fractions (kataron and CB) can cooperate together to take down A laws and the federation. Memento Mori, the orbital WMD of the A laws, is the first step to creating superweapons for destroying the world. I am sure that CB will team up with Kataron to destroy that, but seeing the large fleet of A laws ships, I am sure it will be a HUGE battle.

Barack’s death is far too predictable. I am somehow disappointed that he died early, it would have been nice to see him owning exia—excuse me—00 gundam again. The way he died was saddening, and it seems that louise shed tears of respect and sadness for him.
CB has a full scale base, and there is sure a lot of support personnel. I am also betting that they have many other bases in the asteroid fields, in this way the federation cannot detect them easily. I think it would be better for them if they construct more mobile suits and spaceships, in this way they can at least help the crew of the polemy in battle and assist in completing aeolia’s plans. More mobile suits would be better, as more gundams units would help in the battle, and the A laws and the Earth Sphere Federation would have a run for their money in a large scale battle with CB Mobile Suits.

NOTE: This is my take on Kati’s plans:

About Kati’s plan, I can see she is indeed a clever tactical forecaster. However, there have been some problems in her plan. The trick of her hidden group of mobile suits that immediately heads towards the Ptolemaios can be easily intercepted by any of the gundams and the 0 riser, coupled with the GN fields and weapons of the polemy, that MS group would have been destroyed in mere moments. The trap for the 00 gundam seems interesting enough, but can be easily countered once the 00 gundam is back in action by slicing away the electrical disruptors. If the cherdium gundam is not busy, lockon would have sniped the enemy Mobile suits and freed 00 gundam. Tieria’s blast is blocked by Bring’s cloaked Garazzo, and since servaee is near the polemy, I doubt that the garazzo can block a full scale attack from the polemy’s GN cannons and missiles. Also, polemy should have been moving instead of being stationery; hereby avoiding Gadessa’s shot from its GN Mega Launcher. Sumeragi should have been able to know this and made the appropriate countermeasures, being a professional tactical forecaster herself.

One simple talk from Ian is able to convince Saji to pilot the 0 riser, I am somehow puzzled by that, but Saji seems to be a good pilot as he can jink left and right so quickly in the asteroid field. I highly suspect this is with the help of the pink haro that is with him. I hope Ian will survive, as his mechanic skills are desperately needed to service the gundams and the fighter suits. To CB, he is an indispensable asset, and a valuable friend and companion to everyone on the polemy.

Battle-wise, I am sure that the 00 riser would be a fearsome enemy, and I can see that the twin drives system is really powerful, after seeing its speed and capabilities. The way it confronts Andrei, Louise and Barack is excellent, and it sure kicks butt with the swords and lasers. Now A laws better think twice before attacking 00 again (maybe not, the innovators’ Garazzo seem to have marked 00 riser as its primary target) Now since Trans-Am is activated, I am sure the powered up suit can take on the innovators’ Mobile suits with ease.

Now to the ethereal world at the Trans-Am scene after the credits. I personally feel that it seems to be a place where someone can hear voices and feelings of others, especially the ones of pilots around them. Sounds kind of supernatural and mystical mixed together, and somehow I can’t grasp the reason why they all must be naked. Is it something to do with purity? And it seems to pay homage to those scenes at Gundam Seed and Destiny. This is also where Saji can hear Louise’s thoughts. Now they know each other is on the opposing side, I wonder if their relationship will still continue to be together, but I am suspecting this is only an obstacle to see this couple getting back together again. Somehow I have a nagging feeling that one of them may die later. I agree with the person’s thoughts mentioned below,

“Neither might want their sides to fight each other in the fear that the other will be killed, and their relationship may ultimately be proof that love is greater than war”

This line may be true, and I second that. This will be a ultimate test to the relationship of Saji and Louise. Somehow Saji is distressed after the encounter, as seen in the preview, and maybe Setsuna or Teria will help him get back on his feet again. I wonder if Setsuna will also see Marina in this ethereal world, since they are fated to be together.

And it also seems that in the next episode, Ribbons is shocked at something, and I presume it could be the appearance of the 00 riser. I am certainly looking forward to the next episode, and I am sure it would have more action and hair rising moments, as well as surprises and twists to the already gripping storyline of Gundam 00.

    Continue to impress me, SUNRISE!

  47. I’m sure Saji wasn’t the pilot of the 0-raiser, it was all haro’s work… There is no way that a guy who pilots only maintenance mobile suits could pilot a fighter…
Anyway, as soon as Setsuna gave the docking order , the Haro responded .

About Anew Returner : she seems indeed to be a sleeping agent becaus when revive tried to to pinpoint her , her eyes didn’t glow… she seemed only lost in her thoughts. Btw, I’m also thinking that Anew and Lyle mill have some sort of complicated relationship. When will she awaken ?

About Ribbons : I have a few theories about his surprise on the preview :
    1) One of the innovators is killed
    2) 00-raiser is freakin’ awesome ! ^^ (in a bad way for him)
    3) Someone is hacking him due to 00-raiser GN particles (a crazy theory I know)
    4) The fleet is utterly destroyed

  48. @jun, if you look CLOSELY at the picture, you can actually see the rocks and astroids fly left to right …. meaning he would be “pulled back” …you jumped into conclusions that just because they are facing back to back in hte dream…*WHICH WOULD LOOK AWFULLY GAY LOL* means hte cockpit is actually back to back as well…. the physics of this is correct, he should be attached to his seat in the acceleration

    Hostage
  49. gn particles are the reason behind the whole plan. there’s too many theories and we don’t know who is telling the truth and who is lying. this has turned for the better. even thought the episode was mediocre. and ribbons being shocked has got to be about the hidden plan or the memento mori getting destroyed.

    Frito the Gundam Nerd
  50. I said it earlier and I’m sticking to it after seeing this episode, Anew is no spy.. She seemed unaware of what really happened or what contacted her. So she probably doesn’t know she’s the cause for getting Langrange 3 exposed. But I bet Marie will find out. Maybe she isn’t even aware of the fact that she’s an innovator.

Besides Tieria was unaware of the other innovators untill recently, so why wouldn’t the same apply to Anew. I hope we’ll get more info on her next episode.

My predictions for the next episode. Add one or two innovators to the deathlist and maybe even an early end to Memento Mori. I still believe that most of these new Innovators are meant as Cannon Fodder, to extend the lives of Graham and Ali as I expect at least one of them to die in the future. CB should kill at least a few big enemies besides the small fry right, but it’s to early for the important cast members like ali to die, so why not create a few (important) ones?

  51. @Hostage, just look

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlTnIICtt4Y&fmt=18

at 0:41, and you will see that the 0-Raiser’s cockpit is actually facing 00 back to back. If I’m right, the rocks and asteroids’s movement are wrong too.

It wasn’t (only) for visual “safety” purposes (avoiding a “surprise buttsex” possibility) that Setsuna & Saji were facing back to back in the “GN overdose” scene. Unless there is some magical transfoming system that turns the 0-Raiser’s cockpit to the same direction as the 00’s cockpit, or the 00-Raiser were actually doing reversal maneuvers, the physics are still epically wrong to me.

Try to sit in a car facing the driver back to back and see what will happen when he pushes the accelerator. You will understand why that scene was wrong.

  52. Wang Liu Mei must die, that damn bitch is even worst then Innovators. Gotta hate Turncoats.

Seems like they are trying to bring CB on the brink of Extinction before they get the real fights started. I just hope that they don’t go overboard with it. They already got cornered on earth, now they are getting cornered on their back yard. I hope A-Laws lose a lot of manpower next episode, they need to to bring out the rest of the innovators in the battle field.

  53. Man, Revive should die. I’m getting tired of that overconfident “>:)” look on his face.

Anyway, what if the 30 Bunch Incident of this season is triggered by:
The attack by Memento Mori will be reason for a protest in a city or colony, then A-LAWS, probably Arthur Goodman, will brand the protesters as inciting anti-government ideas, launching Automatons to “put down the dissidents”. Kick the Dog moment, here we come.

If there really are more CB bases and they actually have mass-produced suits, then an C.B. – Kataron alliance (if possible) Vs. A-LAWS massive scale war will be epic. That is, if C.B. are willing to supply Kataron with G.N. Drives giving them a chance against the GN-XIIIs and Aheads.

Damn n00bs with the “ZOMGWTF NAKEDNESS!!11one”

  54. Some people actually thought Sergei was gonna die so soon? If he did there would of been no reason in introducing Andrei as his son. Sergei is safe until he starts interacting with him, especially since he’s to blame for Andrei being the way he is.

I liked Barack, sad to see him go. And hopefully Revive survives for a while longer, though I have my doubts about that.

    Glec26
  55. Looks like Marie knows there is an intruder on-board; and this somehow bring me relief, that the innovator in disguise might actually be the one Lyle will kill later on (based on what can be deduced from his ED images).

  56. Well another hunch to the whole 00-Raiser thing is that those rings might signify TRUE limitless power if used in conjunction to TRANS AM. Those twin drives with the 00-raiser add-on will create a recycle cycle at the same time as going over 300% in output.

    tritoch
  57. it must be remembered that all if not the majority of all gundam series involves some kind of supernatrual nakedness. just as how there is always a guy in the mask who is good and bad or how the main hero all ways falls in love with the guy who is 100% against war all of these are trademark gundam

    bigga
  58. Tradition, but it’s still lame.

    I hate it, like hell.

I love 00, great anime, hell I look forward to the end but damn did they have to do that? Honestly.

    LOL NUDE SCENE TELEPATHY!

Why not.. TELEPATHY WITH CLOTHES ON?

  59. Great Episode. By physics, Saji is struck in the chair due to the normal force exerted by the chair on Saji, so the physics on Saji being pulled back is right. As for the gundam manuevers, i will have to look at the episode again. Anyway, Bring is definitely going to be trans-arm 00-Raizer’s first victim since Bring is going after 00-raizer.

As for the naked scene, many gundam series before Seed has have them and future ones will have them so please stop complaining or go watch another mecha series. The naked scene even through Setsuna in that position was very funny was to illustrate how GN Particles can allow even ordinary people to connect to other people’s thoughts. I have the twin drive system may have been a part of Aeolia’s true plan for humanity.

From the episode, it seems that the red haro is controlling the 0-raizer while Saji is just “enjoying” the ride. There is no way that Saji can pull those types of manuevers especially since he never piloted a MS.

Overall, this is clearly this best episode of the series and I believe that Gundam 00 is only going to get better. It will clearly be one of my most favorite anime of all time.

  60. this episode is awesome!!!!!!

gundam 00 is definitely the best gundam series ever!!!
drama, suspense, thrill, action, reality, ideals and philiosophies, romance, they’re all there!!!!!

omg!!!i can’t wait for the next episode.

    leah-chan
  61. it makes sense now if the Red GN partcles can harm humans then Green/Blue is the opposite?
i guess the reason why ribbons created and give the blueprint for the Red GNX is to destroy the humans (making them fight each other).

    reilina
  62. I really love the combination between the GN 0000-00 Gundam and the GN 010-0 Raiser. I really want to see how this battle ends by next Sunday. We may not yet know the full potential of this new machine. I hope that it has a lot more power! This Season is way better than the first one.
