Summary
Haruhi and the gang invade Yuki’s pad to whip up some chocolates for Valentine’s Day. Initially the plan was for Mikuru to strip down and just dunk her in chocolate, but after that plan fell through, they go ahead and make their own creations. Mikuru and Tsuruya come up with some quite spectacular creations; Haruhi’s is hilariously hideous (and bears striking resemblance to that ugly SOS-dan logo), and Yuki makes… chocolate. Then eats them all. After they leave, Yuki apologizes for stuffing Achakura in a box the whole time by giving her some chocolate cake : D

Summary
It’s time to deliver the chocolates to the lucky guys – but not so fast. Haruhi demands Kyon and Itsuki do something to deserve them first, but what? Itsuki hatches up a plan that has awesome meido Mori-san busting through the window in seconds, to deliver them host club outfits, which they promptly don and bust out their cool-guy moves in front of the three girls. Which makes Mikuru cry… but it’s one of those squealing little piggy cries… it’s pretty great.

Thoughts
And the Haruhi train keeps chugging along with two more great eps. This week, Achakura gets turned into a toy – literally – while the rest of them proceed to a KyoAni trademark, the “what would each character be” type thing (remember in Lucky Star when each character got animal-ized?), with master chef Haruhi making a Kyon-head that would make the dudes on Easter Island cry, Mikuru making her cute Muu-chan, and Tsuruya nonchalantly crafting an exquisite (and gravity-defying) crane. In ep 12 we had the Haruhi-chan debut of Mori-san (and Arakawa, but he looks exactly the same), who apparently gained ninja powers in the transition. Come to think of it, this is not unlike when Goto Yuuko showed up on Lucky Channel. Those cool-guy poses kinda hit close to home too, cuz I do something like that every morning when looking at myself in the mirror. Yeaaa.

And to top it all off, that Mikuru cry…. lol, I can’t get enough of it.

  1. I think its been mentioned before, but its interesting to note how the animation/drawing quality has drastically improved since the first short.

Leading up to something big, hopefully.
