Seiyuu: The 2nd Quiz
It took no more than 30 minutes for the readers of this blog to solve my precious quiz yesterday, so I’ve made a new one, which will hopefully take slightly longer to puzzle out. Either way, it’s clear to see that anime has a lot of very unique voices working in the business.
Again, I’ve chosen 10+1 clips, but this time I made an effort to pick different series, since there seems to be an interest in identifying the characters in addition to the actors. The next quiz will probably be posted some time next week, and if you happen to have sound clips of your own you think would fit in a quiz like this, feel free to mail them to me, 5-10 seconds in 128 kbps mp3 format. Include actor name, anime series, and character name, please.
Edit: No one managed to post all of the actors correctly in a single comment, but as a combined effort, you sure solved it fast. I was particularly surprised by people getting #11.

Tipp for 11: Its Miho Shiraishi
The scene is from Full metal alchemist, she is the female thief (who poses as non as well as teacher etc.) its the moment when the full metal one lets her get away.

Hirano Aya definitely sounds right, now that you mention it. I’m not sure why I heard Satou Rina here. I also agree with Orikasa Fumiko, nice job. I’ve never heard Saito Chiwa much, though, so I couldn’t have come up with that answer.
#10 is fairly frustrating! I had vaguely thought of Kuwatani Natsuko and Shitaya Noriko at first, but I quickly forgot about them. I don’t think I’ll ever find a satisfying answer before the right answers are posted.
This is once again definitely fun, thank you for the quiz!

I’m horrible at this.
I recognize the voices, I just can’t tell you who they are.

Looks like there’s a consensus on Sakurai Takahiro. He’s my favorite voice actor, and I’m terrible at recognizing voices without looking them up first (I’m just nerdy like that?), so I would have been really disappointed if I hadn’t gotten that one right. XD And Takehito Koyasu is the only one, I believe, that I could pluck from memory without even thinking about it. Anyway, um… I want to stick something out there and guess that the first one is Yukana. :D

@Patrik – I think #11 was found out pretty easily because the soundtrack from the background sightly gave it away =P! Not that I recognised the voice but I was vaguely thinking FMA when I heard the OST!

2 – Saito Chiwa – Bin-chan – Kamichu! – only because I instantly recongnized Bin-chan’s distinctive Hiroshima accent and him talking about misfortune, having watch Kamuchu some time ago.
4 – Sakurai Takahiro
8 – Koyasu Takehito
10 – Tamura Yukari – only 60% sure
Some said Kugimiya Rie for no. 3, but I must shamelessly admit that I could not pin-point her voice properly when she’s not doing her usual lolis or Alphonse Elric.

Haha, #8 and #5 were the only ones I knew for sure. Between the voice and his mentioning of Showers, without understanding everything he said I knew #8 was Fool. I also recognized #5 as Orihime’s voice, though I’m not sure if that clip is actually from bleach. I recognize 4, 6, 7, 9, and 11, but not well enough to know who they are or what they’re from for sure.
