    Pretty tame chapter.

  • January 30, 2010 at 6:00 pmlilakou

could anyone tell me where is the old man ? the capitain of the first squad ” yama-ji”
even with aizen apperence he still didn’t show up
i really think that he have some sort of plan to beat aizen but if they are going to just relay just on ichigo without doing anything that will be disapoting

  • January 30, 2010 at 6:08 pmHappy

I can gladly see Aizen beating the living shit out of everyone for the next 10 chapters. This is amazing! I Read this manga just because he is in it. I waited since soul society arc to see him in action again and oh boy he doesn’t disappoint! The cool part about him is that we don’t know why or how he got that much power, that is why he is mysterious, that is why it is such pleasure to see him beat everyone!

I just want him to kick ass, regardless! I don’t care if you guys hated the chapter, SHUT UP and let the God sort out his plans!

    <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Aizen!

  • January 30, 2010 at 6:20 pmsigh

I thought this chapter was ridiculous because all they did through out the entire chapter was portray aizen as a god compared to the rest of them. It really feels like all the chapters in between were nothing but a waste of time if he really is that strong, and there was no need for everything that happened in between. Naruto on the other hand was a really good chapter this week and didn’t disappoint in compared to this piece of crap of a chapter.

  • January 30, 2010 at 6:22 pmsigh

Also I’m now expecting Issin to come soon and take complete control of this battle, considering how tite kubo said he was going to play a major part.

  • January 30, 2010 at 6:30 pmShad P

This chapter was far too fast. Even if you stretch out the fighting a bit, it’s what the anime could show in 2 minutes. I do hope Starrk gets to apologize for this time’s filler.

  • January 30, 2010 at 7:15 pmanimeE

booo!! i’m tired of aizen being hyped up so much. even in the turn the clock, his ability was off the chart and that was before he starting playing with hollowification.
how can we expect that anyone has the ability to beat him. essentially ichimaru says that aizen controlled the his espadas through strength alone..
and i’m sick and tired of yami-ji being in the background. so everyone is battling to take down aizen and he is just chillin while all the captains get cut down and ichigo, someone who can’t even master his own strength, is trying to find the slightest opening to cut down the most powerful character in the entire story???
this arc just needs to end. i think ss needs some serious reinforcements. e.g. new characters who can at least hold aizen at bay. because with how the story has been setup already, there is just no way that ANYONE can even put a scratch on aizen.
and if anyone is expecting ANYTHING from ichigo’s dad, or a quincy, please don’t. that would be horrific to the story. this dude got so beat up at the beginning of the manga, it would be a travesty for him to just come in and save the day.

  • January 30, 2010 at 7:31 pmRockmanshii

Such travesty was already done when Yami who was punched in the stomach and was told by Ulquiorra that he was no match for Urahara/Yoruichi just *poof* become the most powerful espada out of his own ***.

  • January 30, 2010 at 7:43 pmVal Varo

I don’t care about anything going on anymore, I just feel really bad for Komamura. The poor guy gets sliced in half once a month on average.

  • January 30, 2010 at 7:53 pmviral

animeE: According to Urahara, Isshin’s powers were lost, and he just regained it. He propably didn’t has his power at the beginning of the series.

  • January 30, 2010 at 7:57 pmHappy

Yammi had only one arm, don’t forget that. besides, we don’t know if ulquierra had reached his second form by then.

Why is it that everyone here hates Aizen? Has he raped your moms or something? he looks cool, acts cool, has cool powers and yet everyone bitches about him! >__<

  • January 30, 2010 at 8:25 pmV6

what is stupid that they make Aizen a god-like with his power-level. Everyone knows that in the end that Ichigo will defeat Aizen. So, what will make Ichigo? God above all gods?

  • January 30, 2010 at 8:39 pmFinalnight

We have officially entered Dragonball Z land. Aizen=Majin Buu. Time for Ichigo to go SSJ3.

  • January 30, 2010 at 8:59 pmCharred Knight

Don’t you dare compare Dragonball Z to this, at least Dragonball had power levels that you could compare instead of Kubo pulling shit out of his ass.

You could achieve the exact same thing by repeatly reading the chapter in which Aizen blocks Ichigo over and over. If I want to reread a chapter I reread the chapter I don’t hope that Kubo simply repeats himself over and over again.

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:10 pmanimeE

re: isshin, my point is that he better not do anything besides come and get his ass whooped like everyone else. unless he spent time in the hyperbolic time chamber lol.

re: yami and cifer, i can actually live with this. ulqui told yami that he could not defeat urahara and yoruichi “as you are now”. this has some interesting implications which gave the story some wiggle room. HOWEVER, what pissed me off the rematch between yami and ichigo, who just went SS3 on cifer and beat the crap out of him, in the fight ichigo could only manage to scratch yami’s released form (with his mask on) whiles byakuya and kenpachi cut off his limbs and other body parts without bankai!!! WTF!!!!%$%%#^^ i digress…

i like aizen as a villian. my point is that he has been elevated so much in the story line that if any of the present characters defeats him, they would have to receive such a huge power up, and it would not do the story justice right now. this author has chosen to make the main character very inconsistent and unreliable. everytime ichigo gets a power up, he is unable to consistently deliver when it matters. it’s like watching a rocky movie. as i said earlier, this arc should end with some new characters being introduced that can at least delay aizen while the other captains can get powered up and ichigo needs to spend some time getting consistent.

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:10 pmHappy

    @Charred Knight

Then stop reading the Manga. seriously dude. Kubo has himself stated (i can give you the link to his interview) that Characters comes before the story in Manga. No character is supreme in Bleach (other than Aizen), everyone has a weakness and that makes the fights interesting. you KNEW Aizen was powerful from the very start, you KNEW this day would come when he would challenge all and everyone of these petulant fools to a fight. So whats the big deal? What’s all the bitching about? Besides, what do you want him to do? fight and lose to some no name lame ass shinigami and then the Manga is over! Yamamoto hasn’t even fought yet, so are Uruhara and his gang. Give it a rest. Bleach is slow in story, big fuckin hoo. read it in volumes and see why it is slow. Read Berserk and see why that manga is also slow.

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:38 pmpaul

this is really getting stupid now.with yamamoto being the strongest shinigami he is just standing there watching everyone get the shit beat out them

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:43 pmssj4jw

It’s kinda funny that people compare bleach to dbz when Kubo said one of his influences was Saint Seiya.

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:52 pmSkiks

So Kubo’s excuse is that his characters are good thats why his story sucks? Really? I guess he’s never read one piece…

  • January 30, 2010 at 9:54 pmDmysta3000

The reason people compare Bleach to dbz is because, like dbz, bleach has the annoying habit to drag on battles of a stupidly long time. Seriously this fight has been dragged out for more than two freaking years now. So for now, I’ve resolved to stop reading Bleach until this arc is over, at least to me its less frustrating that way.

  • January 30, 2010 at 10:21 pmGekokujou

I have to admit I gotta give Aizen some credit for living up to the hype he’s been given. He’s definitely a magnificent bastard no matter how you look at him. Most of the Espadas on the other hand seemed like they were just there to die, on top of failing to live up to the hype they were given.

  • January 30, 2010 at 10:42 pmSplash

I still have the feeling that the Captain Commander is in cahoots with Aizen. Either Aizen is his 2nd in command or something.

  • January 30, 2010 at 11:00 pmBROOKLYN otaku

I LOVE IT!! people either WORSHIP AIZEN!, or want him TO DIE! its great!…but that was disappointing that GIN said that whole “light years ahead thang”. what? so he’s stronger than you??? what a cop out! what fun is that? GIN the SPOILER KING.. thanks. but still this is great ..keep building him up gin. he’s smarter, stronger, faster..etc,etc.

cuz in the end,we all know this could only end in one of the most statistically probable ways. hehehe

  • January 30, 2010 at 11:06 pmBROOKLYN otaku

sorry for dbl but i cant resist HAPPY x AIZEN hehehehe i love ur enthusiasm dude!

  • January 30, 2010 at 11:54 pmjho

one of the saddest “most awesome” manga turned into “what the heck is this” manga i’ve ever had the privilege to read :(

  • January 31, 2010 at 12:09 amHH

Like the First captain of first squad said, he is only the last defensive. If a disgrace to have him to fight in the beginning

  • January 31, 2010 at 1:37 amVent

This manga was at it’s best in the Soul Society arc. After that ended it has been a drag. I just read it because I’m too invested into the story to stop.

  • January 31, 2010 at 3:50 amGrant

I’m conflicted on this. It’s like the series deliberately does everything it can to annoy me, but in a way that takes the sting out.

    On the one hand:

    1. It’s about freaking time that they got to this fight.
    2. I’m glad they remembered his strength, I was starting to think it was an informed ability (TVTropes people!)

    On the other:
    1. Too much Hitsugaya! There are plenty of other captains and Visored, use them for once. He’s cool, but the series uses him WAY too much.
    2. Considering the fact that Yamamoto had several months to think of a way to fight him you’d think he would come up with something better than this. Something like another Shinigami execution phoenix thing.
    3. It’s fairly obvious now that Ichigo’s the one who’s going to finish this. That means that all of the captains, humans, and hollows with a semblance of a backstory are really immaterial.
    4. They could have done this almost a hundred chapters ago with the exact same effect. All that buildup with the Arrancar, then the Espada, and then rescuing Orihime could have been taken out and it would have had the exact same outcome.

  • January 31, 2010 at 4:37 amkaineng

more chapters, more action, yet repititive (besides hitsugaya-kun). if everyone’s getting sick, then Kubo please, get on with the story…

  • January 31, 2010 at 9:02 amTyKH

What I do miss are some characters to show up; Where are Yourichi, Uruhara, father of Ichigo, and the luitenants of Yamamoto and Shunsei?
And I have a strong feeling that the first three will have some kind of ability to trick Aizen into a mistake or something..

  • January 31, 2010 at 10:17 amgcsasuke

Haha, seems to me like everyone’s complaining abt EVERY manga.. Cmon, give the writers a break. I think they’ve come up with interesting stories… If you dont like it, saying its becoming DBZ, then dont read it.. Who’s the bigger idiot, a guy who writes a sucky story or a guy who reads a sucky story even though they dont like it?

  • January 31, 2010 at 10:21 amGermanguy

Yeah, this is about to become bored. an End Boss that Owns all Captains even in Combine force. Why then this long time waiting? He just have had walk in Soul Society and do what he wanted…

And even IF Yamaoto can scratch him, he still has Ichimaru as backup. So only when Ichigo comes into the Play, with all other Captains dead or nearly on the brink of death. This Chapter will become interesting for me again.. It’s no fun, she an overpowered Boss owns all Captains that grow to us.

  • January 31, 2010 at 10:22 amGermanguy

    I mean Gin, not ichimaru

  • January 31, 2010 at 1:18 pmMark

@gcsasuke, sounds like you just really like Bleach and don’t want to see anyone criticizing it. Every manga gets criticized, some for wrong reasons and others for the right ones; in this case, Bleach really does have bad writing. One of the worst mistakes Kubo made with Aizen is that he started out so powerful. The proper thing to do in a manga like this is to have the bad guy start out small, like Naraku. Then he actually has motivation to get stronger, his progression is believable, and the readers believe the hero actually has a shot to win.

  • January 31, 2010 at 1:32 pmblinx01

Poor chapter. We already know how godly Aizen is. What we wanna see is how they’re going to deal with this.
Since Yamamoto has yet to do anything, I can only assume there is some sort of plan in place or he knows something the others don’t.
After all, if the plan was to just overwhelm Aizen, everyone, including Yamamoto, who is apparently the strongest captain, would have rushed him at once while the Vizard took care of Gin.
Anyway, can’t wait for this arc to end. Its dragged on way too long without and decent plot twists to make it worthwhile. Like someone has said, it’s getting like DBZ where its just battle afer battle.

  • January 31, 2010 at 1:51 pmblah

like the other guy said 2 years, thats way to long for a battle.Too long even for a series about fighting and battles.I can see myself going through school, getting married and having children by the time this is finished. Thats why i dont both reading.

  • January 31, 2010 at 2:23 pmIrenesharda

@Germanguy, you do know that Gin and Ichimaru are the same person, right? Ichimaru is his family name, Gin is his first name. Ichimaru Gin.(or Gin Ichimaru if you want to put it in western format)

  • January 31, 2010 at 3:36 pmLeo

Maybe all shinigamis will lost the battle. And the Royal Guard, with Hikifune, will avoid Aizen plans… for a while.

  • January 31, 2010 at 3:59 pmlilakou

i heard from a friend that ichigo will die and azen will be able to open the door to the king
but when he defeat the royal guard he will find ichigo sitting in the king chair and will become a complete shinigami and not a replacement
he heard it from his friend how said that he watched an interview for kubo

  • January 31, 2010 at 7:21 pmrai

I expect him to rip ichigo apart.

  • January 31, 2010 at 8:50 pmRaithos

yo we still havent seen yammamoto go bankai, so everyone can stfu until we see that.

  • January 31, 2010 at 10:13 pmanimeE

@lilakou that would be a good twist, but ichi is already a full shinigami.
@leo: i’d love to see that. aizen is trying to get to somewhere that kubo hasn’t explained yet. the royal guard, since they protect the spirit king should be incredibly powerful.
what would also be interesting is if yami-ji sacrificed himself to wound aizen to the point that he’d have to retreat.

  • February 1, 2010 at 1:38 amHm,Omoshiroi

I agree with Happy. Go Aizen. (This comment section needs those clickable *thumbs up* and *thumbs down* things on comments.)

  • February 1, 2010 at 7:13 amAlec

I want to read the manga coz the the damn anime has given me SERIOUS BLOWS, and basically those damages can no longer be reapaired…

  • February 1, 2010 at 12:16 pmyi

Short summary of bleach- Aizen is over 9000, the end

  • February 1, 2010 at 1:41 pmlilakou

    @animeE: i just said what i heard
but i think that what you said to leo could really be the future of the manga
alsos kenpachi didn’t use his bankai too ( all capitain have a bankai that’s the 1 rule to become a capitain )
i think this will be the final arc i mean what could happen after killing aizen ????????

  • February 1, 2010 at 4:04 pmlol

Was that a serious question? people hate Aizen because hes the damn main anatagonist and hasn’t been touched since the start of Bleach. I’m guessing your into bishie types because he acts cool and looks “cool”. Fuck that he looks like a homo.

  • February 1, 2010 at 11:31 pmSmegax

You guys complain too much… what would you say if Ichigo had actually come from Hueco Mundo Mundo and cut Aizen in the neck and killed him… I’m pretty sure you would all NOT be like “Woot, hurrey for Ichigo, he is SOOOOOOO COOOL”

  • February 2, 2010 at 9:41 amKensei

I’m of the personal opinion that this entire chapter was a complete waste of time.
Yeah, Aizen’s strong as all shit. WE ALREADY KNEW THAT. We did not need another twenty pages spent on nothing except reminding us how excessively god-haxxed Kubo has made Aizen.

Honestly, as powerful as he is, right now I find Aizen to be the most boring character in the entire cast, no exceptions.

  • February 3, 2010 at 3:01 pmthedonofdonz

I think in the end aizen will achieve his goal. In th next arc ichigo will beat him in order to save everyone from getting owned by aizen through training or fully mastering his hollow but the head captian might give aizen the oken w/e happens now Ss is weak compared to Squad 0 which includes all former captians who got promoted so Ss is like little league if everyone in squad 0 or royal sqaud are all former captians. SS main goal is to protect souls so thats why say this especially if ymmato fights n gets owned by aizen’s shikai or bankai then yea i see it happening.

  • February 3, 2010 at 6:57 pmblah

meh, i dont think there will be another arc, be prepared to see this battle go on till 3 weeks before the guy retires, oh waits that the guys 32 seems like another 32 more years of ” OMG aizen is a haxxor” and “no way ichigo might be haxxer then we think”
