Random Curiosity

So it was great seeing Yamamoto kicking some ass using solely his physical abilities here, without the help of anyone else like I thought he might need. I especially liked the spread on the final two pages – the old man is an unexpectedly good brawler, and I can’t wait to see what else he can do. However, one-sided chapters like this always worry me, especially when they showcase a powerful good guy. It’s unlike Aizen to miscalculate Yamamoto’s strength when developing a specific counter, so I have a hard time shaking the suspicion that either Wonderweiss’s power hasn’t been fully shown or that Aizen has something else up his sleeve, both of which mean that this would get dragged out longer. If only Aizen weren’t such a hax character…I’d laugh (and then sigh) if this were all an illusion or something. The alternatives are that Yamamoto completely overpowers Aizen, which I just can’t see happening, or it’s about time for another big plot twist, maybe with Ichimaru or some of the characters who’ve been absent.
