Now that you have a better idea of the new shows around the corner and my personal outlook on each of them, here’s your opportunity to voice your opinion and see what others are looking forward to. If you haven’t already, please refer to the Fall 2010 Preview for detailed information on each of the shows listed. I’ve also added several more promotional videos to the various entries, so they’re worth checking out to get a better impression of what they’re like. Due to the vast number of shows (27), I’ve increased the number of choices from three to five this time around, so that there’s more room for some lesser anticipated shows to be highlighted. As always, comments are welcome if there’s anything you want to add about a particular show or the fall season in general. Let your voice be heard!

Note: The same poll will also be available on the sidebar. It will automatically close on October 1st at 2:00 AM to coincide with the start of the season.

    1. I’m looking forward to them, but I’m looking forward to the 5 I mentioned much more. Index is my favorite light novel series and the potential of original anime by BONES and Gainax makes STAR DRIVER and PSG instant watches. As for Bakuman and Oreimo, I love the former’s manga and the latter looks to be very entertaining.

  1. I’m not all that enthusiastic about what’s coming out, nothing really grabs me other than Super Robot Wars. That I might watch to feed my want for big robots beating up each other, though I’m not sure I want to spoil myself on the plot of the second game (not even finished the first one yet!)

    Sol Fury
  2. – STAR DRIVER (It looks pretty interesting)
    – Index II (I see no reason why not to watch the sequel of one of my favorite shows)
    – Otoshimono (I might drop this ’cause I’ve already the manga, but I’d love to see it animated)
    – The World God Only Knows (Same as Otoshimono)
    – Motto To LOVE-Ru (I miss TLR ever since the manga ended)
    – Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge (I enjoyed the first season)
    – Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (It seems interesting)

  3. This was pretty hard ._.
    -Star Driver
    -Sora no Otashimono
    -Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
    -Bakuman
-Index II <~ High/Low expectations here, due to the latter part having much better plot, but having a terrible first season.

  4. Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls (well it looks sweet and the characters design is up to my taste)
Bakuman (Heard good things so here’s hoping)
Sora no Otashimono (I could watch Ikaros walk around with a watermelon in her hands all day)
Shinryaku! Ika Musume (I need my fluffy anime too)
To Aru Majutsu no Index II (One name…Mikoto)

    Shinjiro
  5. Alrighty.

Oreimo (Ain’t heard of it before but a lot of people seem to be looking forward to it)
Index II (I’m watching because I just gotta see if J.C. staff can redeem it from season 1)
Panty and Stocking (Looks like a lot of fun)

    That’s about it tbh……

    Smell The Coffee!
  6. I’ve heard great things about Bakuman and Kami Nomi, so they are the two new series I am most looking forward to. Tegami Bachi and Index both had flaws, but showed a lot of potential and their sequels should be good. Despite seeming a bit plain, I’ve heard good things about Fortune Arterial and Yosuga no Sora, the latter in particular is supposed to focus more on the drama when compared to other visual novels. Though, I’m still watching over 2/3 of this list…. as soon as I catch up. -__-

  8. For me it’s these five:
    – Bakuman
    – Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai
    – Shinrei Tantei Yakumo
    – Tegami Bachi REVERSE
    – To Aru Kagaku no Index II

I’m interested in others too, but these are the top 5. Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls stands out for me, as well. I hope I enjoy them all.

  9. voted for:
arakawa – 1st season was hilarious so im definitely gonna watch this
yosuga no sora – im starting to get interested in twincest…
hakouki – …..once I finish the final ep that is…
mm and star driver – no real reason yet other than needing 2 more to vote….

  10. From top to bottom in terms of how interested I am :
My Little Sister can’t be this cute (Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai) – Give a little shot to the manga, this is pure hilarity. His “perfect” little sister who’s good at sports, top of the class, works part-time… uses that money to secretly buy every loli sister romance games because she loves how cute those girls are. And of course, she doesn’t make the link that she plays the “brother” and how awkward it is for her brother. Whenever real life sister-brother relationships get mentioned, she’s like “Ewww”. Pure win guaranteed.

Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls – I saw the first episode (or was it 0?). It’s light comedy, fun entertainment and it will be cool that watch it I believe.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo because I always dig mystery shows so a detective one will get my attention.

The rest, depends on reviews. I got burned on the manga Bakuman because of how quickly it gets old so I’ll skip it this time around.

Hakuouki was so frustrating to watch so I’m pretty sure I’ll watch it to simply moan about how awful it is. (I secretly want to know what happens to the characters but the main heroine is so irritating it’s not even funny)

And I’ll continue to watch the 2nd half of Shiki. I’m hooked to that one for sure.

  11. Only ones I can say I’m guaranteed to watch are Bakuman and Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. I still need to watch the first Arakawa, but am planning to watch the second season straight after Iget onto that.

    kuripuri
  12. Index 2 is guaranteed to be watched. Not sure about the others. Gonna give Bakuman, Yosuga no Sora, Yakumo, and Star Driver a try. Of course I gonna want to watch the Arakawa under the Bridge series too since I watched the first series…

  13. Comedy + Action is good!:
To Aru Majutsu no Index II
    Panty and Stockings

    Comedy + Romance is better!:
Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
    Otome Youkai Zakuro
    Bakuman
    Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai
    Kuragehime

Comedy + Ecchi is the best! (my votes):
    Sora no Otoshimono f (Forte)
    MM!
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
    Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
    Motto To LOVE-Ru
    Yosuga no Sora (probably ecchi)

  14. I’d say the ones I’m looking forward to are the sequels of things that I watched the first time: Index, Otoshimono, Hakuouki. I’ve missed some like Arakawa. I’ll definitely watch the Original Generations 2 one as well, and it may actually satisfy. Other than that, I just hope to be pleasantly surprised as I get around to viewing.

  15. For me I’m definitely watching:
    – To Aru Majutsu no Index II (Sequel)
    – Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai (Awesome manga)
    – Bakuman (Heard it was good and it’s by the guys who made Death Note)
    – Shinrei Tantei Yakumo (Looks interesting and it’s mystery)
    – STAR DRIVER Kagayaki no Takuto (An original series by BONES with mechs?! Hell yeah!)

    Ninja
  16. I can’t even think of anything to answer 5 choices.
I may try watching Togainu no Chi.
This is a rather disappointing season for me. I want stuff like Gundam or Code Geass or Angel Beats!.

    Yukiruchan
  17. To many awesome animes this year but I’m going with:

-Sora no Otoshimono Forte (of course!)
    -MM! (seems funny enough XP)
-Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (looks interesting 🙂
-Yosuga no Sora (giving it a try)
-Shinryaku! Ika Musume (the plot is nice and it looks adorable!)

    can’t wait for October!

    gizumimipichu
  18. very..VERY INTERESTING!!!! love that u added these polls Divine! call it a social science experiment..so far we obviously got the HEAVY hitters taking the top spots, but not by much. everything seems pretty close in averages, what an eclectic bunch of viewers we got here!
——-WOULD HAVE given “panty hoe’s garterbelt” my last spot HOWEVER i was at work when i played the prom vid and had the volume on…people overheard a few sec’s of it and now think i was was WATCHING REMIXED PORN!!!! WTF!?!?!?!

    BROOKLYN otaku
  19. Fuckkkk yeahhh 😀

    Bakuman’s in the lead.

    Arakawa Bridge x Bridge

Panty&Stocking because Gainax is the shit.

STARDRIVER because Miyano Mamoru is fabulous.

Pokemon Best Wishes because it’s fucking pokemon.

YEAHHHHHHHH Actually just Bakuman and STARDRIVER will do.

    AznCoffee
  20. Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls, for over-the top swordplay (nad alternate history)
    Hakuouki Hekketsuroku , ditto
Shinrei Tantei Yakumo – for detective story x supernatural
Otome Youkai Zakuro – for military x history x supernatural
and Index II because I loved first season!
didnt made it by the skin of the teeth: Ore wa Imouto,
    for weekly moe overdose

    ewok40k
  21. Really hard to choose, but this its what i expect to watch:

    Bakuman
    FORTUNE ARTERIAL Akai Yakusoku
Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
    STAR DRIVER Kagayaki no Takuto

    Silvfer
  22. Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge
    Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Girls
    Motto To LOVE-Ru
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
To Aru Majutsu no Index II

But I think that it will be not only the “5” anime series that I am going to watch in this season. ^ ^

  23. My top 5:

Panty & Stocking With Garterbelt – This looks insane and fun. Especially insane. I think this is the first time I follow a GAINAX show iN jAPANESE

Yosuga No Sora – Come on, Studio Feel, prove that you make animate a great show other Kanamemo. You can do it!

Soredemo – Sure, the premise sounds familiar to Natsu no Arashi, and yes, I was never interested in Arakawa, but I wanna see SHAFT back to doing comedy.

Iron Man – Needless and High School of the Dead didn’t disappoint me from Madhouse, so let me see if they can make it 3 in a row.

Squid Girl – Can Diomedea recover after the DISASTEROUS second season of Haruka Nogizaka? Interestingly, them doing a kiddie series might refresh their mind, and hopefully not throw fan service for no reason.

    Mesousa
  24. Index 2 – Watched the 1st season, so obviously I’d watch the 2nd.

Yosuga no Sora – DRAMA!? ROMANCE!? POTENTIAL INCEST!? COUNT ME IN! *insert awesome face here*

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai – Heard about the manga but didn’t read it though. The animation was absolute joy candy to my eyes so yes.

    MM – SM!? YES.

Kami Nomi zo Shiru Sekai – Checked out the manga some time ago, might as well give it a try.

Shinrei Tantei Yakumo – Because I just looooove detective stuff. However I get the feeling it’ll be about exorcism battles and no cases at all. Hopefully it won’t be like that.

  25. Iron Man- The second-most shamelessly-borrowed-from superhero for Japanese media is a great character in his own right, if only for his laundry list of flaws. It takes real effort for Madhouse to make something truly bad, so this is probably highest on my to-watch list.

Bakuman- Shounen manga is literary comfort food, and is just as satisfying, but Bakuman (through shounen manga, appropriately) showed us a process behind the machine. It also has an enormous amount of heart, since it does the rare thing of actually making you give a crap about the characters and actively wanting them to succeed instead of just passively seeing whether they do or not.

Arakawa Under the Bridge x Bridge- Every time Rainbow dragged me down through the horror show of things that people can do to each other for the most petty reasons, Arakawa was there with its batshit bonkers sense of humor to pick me right back up. Most anime comedies are quirky things that cause you to make a little smile, about as affecting as getting hit with a pillow. Arakawa was like a fucking sledgehammer in how bizarre it got, and at least on paper, more won’t be a bad thing.

Star Driver- Bones has never done anything bad so far. Sure, the second season of Darker than Black could have been BETTER, but it was a far cry from being an actual bad series by any measure. I’m gonna put my faith in them yet again and see what comes out of this.

I’m a little disappointed we don’t have any overly manly shows this season–sure, Iron Man is actually going to be all about that, since Tony Stark is one of the best idealized male leads in ongoing fiction, but I already know that Stark is a proven badass with excellent strength of character. With Giant Killing and Rainbow finishing their runs, I guess I’ll just have to wait for the next big announcement–hopefully another Hajime no Ippo season.

  26. 1. Ore no imouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai
    2. Ore no imouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai
    3. Ore no imouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai
    4. Ore no imouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai
    5. Ore no imouto ga konna ni kawaii wake ga nai

But if that’s not possible, Oreimo, Index 2, MM, Soraoto 2 and To Love Ru.

Awesome season!! Been looking forward to it for months!

  27. … So 5 for choosing huh…

Well, I might check out the others apart from these listed 5 sometime when I’m interested.

    1. Index II (obviously)
    2. Fortune Arterial
    3. OreImo
    4. Yosuga no Sora
    5. MM!

    Strike
  28. Mime is:
    Sora no Otoshimono f
To Aru Majutsu no Index II
    Yosuga no Sora

    Then is a toughie
Had to to pick two more between:
    MM!
Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector

    I would say
    MM!
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector

I have Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai manga is a fun series but not all that great, don’t know why so many ppl pick Bakuman so much thou, I seen the manga didn’t feel it was all that great at all.

  29. Series I most look forward for:

    1. To aru Majutsu no Index II——-> loved the anime, manga and light novels. period

    2. To-Love-Ru—–>loved the anime and manga….i wonder if they will create an anime-original ending since the manga ending was crap.

    4. Bakuman ——> they said its good so i’m gonna try watching.

    5. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo—-> i’ll watch the first few episodes and see if i can get into it like Higurashi and Shiki.

STAR DRIVER—–> I was looking forward on it at first because it’s from BONES (i just love how their quality animation on DTB and FMA), but when I saw their PV and the “shoujo-esque transformation” of the protagonist…i think i’ll change my mind.

Hakoukki——> I’ll watch the first season first.

other mecha series this fall—–> my priority is the gundam series to get hook again in mecha series like i did since CODE GEASS but I can try watching them occasionally just because.

    ufobaby
  30. 1. Index II
    2. To love Ru
    3. Oreimo —> I forgot in my previous post
    4. Bakuman
    5. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo

honestly, i looked back in the series preview just after this and yeah five is not enough. >.<

    ufobaby
  31. I’ll be looking forward to the other stuff, but I’d rather narrow it down to three than to five, because I’m not exactly familiar with all of them. I’ve already seen Best Wishes and it’s balanced out. First episode sucked, and second was okay. The three I’m waiting for are Bakuman (I read the manga), To-LOVE Ru and Sora No Otoshimino.

    theburntshadow
  32. Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai – Loved the manga! An interesting take on Galge and an Galge otaku. The protagonist is a welcome change from your average Japanese Bitch Boy (JBB) character that most harem plot sh!t out.

Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai – My personal love for Tomoya (Clannad) carried over to this series. Personally, I’m lukewarm about the manga. But Nakamura Yuuichi is one of the few male voice actors I have a man-crush on.

Sora no Otoshimono f – I figure I sat through the first season, I might as well grit my teeth and sit through this one. On the bright side, at least the male protagonist is an openly horny SOB, as oppose to your usual JBB with a transparent ‘innocent, virgin, saint’ act.

Tantei Opera milky holmes – I admit, I’m watching this purely for it’s aesthetics.

To Aru Majutsu no Index II – See my explanation for Sora no Otoshimono F above. One of the series that have it’s moments, but they’re few and far in between. What mainly annoys me is how the protagonist constantly forgets his power and is surprise everytime he ‘rediscovers’ it.

    Tablespoon
  33. I’m really only looking forward to:
kami nomi zo shiru sekai – love the manga

    but I voted for:
bakuman – the manga is ok but too slow for me… might be different in the anime
motto to love ru – gonna watch it for momo lulz
shinrei tantei yakumo and ore no imouto ga konnani kawaii wake ga – only cause they look interesting

uggghhh Index 2… after watching the first season I decided not to vote for it. I might give it a shot again if I don’t have anything else to watch but I’m really not looking forward to it.

  34. This new season is loaded witk tons of I’ve been looking for a very long time, especially to aru majutsu no index; in this Ì’m relly curious about how much fo the novels they’re going to cover this time around, but something tells me that we could expect a third season along with a senccond one for railgun.
