After one whole year, Haganai makes its triumphant second season debut. And honestly, I wasn’t sure if I was going to enjoy another season of this quirky show. Luckily, this first episode completely blew past my expectations by wasting no time and jumping straight into the gist of things.

「琴浦さんと真鍋くん」 (Kotoura-san to Manabe-kun)
“Kotoura-san and Manabe-kun”

I came in for comedy, I came out…wow. I can’t say anymore. If you have yet to watch Kotoura-san, I highly recommend doing so before reading this post.

「私がグッジョブだ！」 (Watashi ga Gujjobu da!)
“I did a Good Job!”

Pure slice of life. The atmosphere, the characters, and the jokes are all there, making this an extremely enjoyable (and super fuwa fuwa) first episode.

「夢の理」 (Yume no Ri)
“The Reason Behind Dreams”

After a longer than expected hiatus, Zetsuen no Tempest finally returns.

“Tsubasa Family Part One – Four”

Like Hanekawa Tsubasa, I don’t know everything; I just know what I know. And what I know is that Nekomonogatari (Kuro) is another tale greater than the sum of its parts.

“That Girl is the Cute Daughter of a Mochi Shop Owner”
