「ラジコン」 (Rajikon)
“RC Car”

If there’s ever been an episode where Yokoi was the absolute and undisputed winner, I think this one takes the cake.

The DMV / Driving Test

Boy, oh boy. It’s been quite a long time since I’ve had to read my state’s driver’s handbook or stress about things like the driving test. While I’d personally like to forget about all the stress that comes along with trying to get your license, I think this episode did a great job at capturing just how stressful the whole ordeal is for the person attempting the exam and how monotonous it is for everyone around them. While the jokes were a bit hit or miss depending on how much you played along, it was still fun to watch.

Yokoi Wins!

I think it’s been quite a while since Yokoi has flat out won. And even though I can’t remember the exact score at the moment (Save me in the comments please!), I want to say that she’s awfully close to tying Seki’s score if you don’t count those random episodes where they either both lose or no one wins.

But if there was something that was worth seeing, it had to be Seki-kun’s “fuuuuuuu” face. Besides reminding us that he isn’t as invulnerable as he once seemed, I think this is the first time he’s ever been caught in the act by a teacher!

Looking Ahead

Unless I’m mistaken, I think next week marks the last time we get to see Seki-kun and Yokoi go through their weekly battle. While this show has had its ups and downs, I’m really hoping things end on a great note. Maybe we’ll get a full length episode to celebrate the end of the season!? I guess we’ll have to wait till next week to see.

Several sources say there will be 21 episodes, but some say it’s 13. There will be 2 DVD’s which suggest the first option plus a few unaired episodes. Only time will tell; it would be nice if it wouldn’t end at 13…

    1. From what I heard, 13 episodes will be aired, the rest will be on home video release. No word on whether they’ll be shown on TV at a later time, streamed on the website, NicoNico, etc, though (unless I missed it).

  2. …throws a lifering over to Takaii.

Scores after ep 12 (omitted ep10):
    Seki – 5
    Yokoi – 7
    Uzawa – 1
Goto – 0 (for someone’s request. Me? I rather not show it until that person(s) did pinged a point)
    Maeda – 1

BTW, this needs to be used as a meme
