「秘密トライアングル」 (Himitsu Toraianguru)
“Secret Triangle”

I KNEW IT. This week’s episode was the biggest tease we’ve gotten yet.

General Impressions

Just past the halfway point since there’s only 10 scheduled episodes, this week’s Netojuu took ample time really building up that big reveal. While I wasn’t too surprised since the story is literally going to be forced to make a drastic 180 degree shift the moment Moriko realizes just whose behind Lili’s screen, it doesn’t lessen the pain that this episode inflicted onto us (yes, I just assumed you felt pained because there’s no way you couldn’t feel it!).

Simply put, I nearly went crazy when Sakurai essentially gave up his opportunity at courting Moriko. As one of the “main” characters who probably has the “strongest” claim when it comes to having a damn good reason for being in love with Moriko, you better believe I was absolutely livid every single time Sakurai tried to be a nice guy and shift things in Koiwai’s direction. It’s like, you’ve stumbled upon this rare chance at not only saving Moriko’s night from being ruined, but you can also spend some quality alone time with her! Seriously, how much better could things get for one single individual?!

That said, what makes all of this ten times worse is that Koiwai also feels like a fantastic fit for Moriko. As Sakurai’s senpai he’s done everything in his power to make things work for his cute kouhai and even goes the extra mile to still talk Sakurai up even when he has a chance to hit things off with Moriko. In-between trying to set things up for Sakurai, he’s weaving in some flattering compliments as well as trying his best to engage the introverted Moriko in conversation. Man, in some wacky alternate universe I could totally see Koiwai ending up with Moriko.

At this point, I really hope that something big happens next week. I can’t stand to see Sakurai like this and the anticipation of him revealing who he is to Moriko is literally eating away at my sanity. But as much as I would love for him to come out guns screaming, I can appreciate the story taking this opportunity to really build things up before the reveal. Anyways, I’ll catch you guys next week where it looks like in the worst case things should have a more positive tone. See you then!

P.S. Large Cap Here 🙂

    1. Not necessarily, both of them have good traits. As koiwai, he is an open ended extrovert which he easily blend to anybody he want to especially to sakurai and morioka. As for Sakurai, he is similarly with Morioka as being introvert with addition warm heart and charming. Indeed Koiwai have the upper hand upon being approachable to morioka in real life, but as for sakurai, he has more knowlegable upon her by knowing morioka deepen personality as she more expressable in online games.

    “♫Mori-Mori-Mori-Mori… Morioka Morikooo (Morioka Moriko…)♫;
    We love Morioka Moriko…”

(As soon as I found out Moriko’s nickname was “Mori-Mori”, the Morioh Radio jingle instantly played in my head…)

But seriously, Moriko is just adorable in this episode. Also, props to Koiwai for being a good wingman during Yuuta’s impromptu date with Moriko, and for being a total gentleman during his actual date with her.

All that remains to be seen is: Will Yuuta finally gather that courage to confess and become a couple with Moriko (I really hope he won’t throw that chance away), or will Koiwai take advantage of that opening?

    HE WHAT??!
Outside the game, where is more relevant, what claims he have? Not much, and worse he is becoming a true stalker. Sakurai is just strange, very strange person.

  3. When Sakurai say something nice about Koiwai ‘Dude stop being such a bro’

When Koiwai say something nice about Sakurai ‘DUDE why are you such a bro’

…My heart doesn’t know who to cheer for T..T

  4. I must say that I’m happy that neither Kowai or Sakurai are bad people. They both just want what is best for the other person and for Moriko.

Still though Sakurai, don’t be me. You’ll never gain happiness by not finding your own.
