I’ll give this to Chihayfuru - more than any series, it’s managed to turn poetry into a blood sport.

Last week, I described Chihayafuru as “exquisite torture”. If I were to say that again today, I’d be half right.

Watching this season of Chihayafuru has become a sort of exquisite torture.

Team matches certainly present an interesting litany of choices for a sports mangaka, don’t they?

It’s hard to do a sports episode any better than that one.

OK, I confess I’m starting to get a little worried.

Chihayafuru is definitely proving its versatility this season, but I wonder if it isn’t coming at just a bit of a cost.

Well, Team Chihayafuru managed to drag out the much-anticipated meeting at least one more week.

“My Only Thought”

To say that this episode was a long time coming may be an understatement, but it definitely proved worth the wait.

Every time Taichi gets kicked in the gut, I have to fight the urge to double over myself.

Every week is a reminder of just why I love Chihayafuru.
