Given how we’re about half way through the series, I must say how impressed I am with how the story and the characters have managed to keep my attention even though there’s not really much happening.

“What Happened to the Girl?”

Only in an anime can you have a guy looking cool while holding a Band-Aid.

「ワンダフルライフ」 (Wondafuru Raifu)
“Wonderful Life”

Now that things have finally settled down and most of the drama has been left in the past, it’s nice to finally have an episode where everything else that’s good about this show gets a chance to show itself. Especially things like the ridiculous situations three young girls can get into when left all by themselves.

「泣いてたまるか」 (Naitetamaruka)
“I Won’t Cry”

With everyone’s emotions jumping from one end of the spectrum to the other, this week’s episode was full of laughs and surprisingly touching moments.

I’ll take this opportunity to say it again — if you still have reservations about watching this show, you need to give them up and give this show a shot. Especially if you love some good, old fashioned family drama.

It doesn’t matter if you’re related by blood or not, family must stay together.

「パパと呼ないで」 (Papa to Yobunaide)
“Don’t Call Me Papa!”

I tried writing a witty excerpt, but the only thing I can think about is how cute Hina is.

Update: I can’t vouch for this myself since I don’t read the LN, but according to the comments from our light novel readers, Papakiki does not have incest. So if that was holding you back from watching, WATCH IT NOW!
