The plot’s back! As promised, the Elemental Siblings are back and they’ve brought the plot with them. Well, sort of. They were in the vicinity, at least.

Picking the screenshots for this episode was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. There were just so many good choices, I didn’t know where to start. These are the kind of hardships we’re willing to undergo for all of you. You’re welcome.

「ドオルニエルの乙女たち」 (Doorunieru no Otome Tachi)
“De Ornielle’s Maidens”

Ahhh Zero no Tsukaima F, you were doing so well. I know you’ve got a lot of source material to churn through in not enough time, but was this episode really necessary? It reeked of filler. Filler that was in the light novels perhaps, but filler nonetheless.

「女王陛下の恩賞」 (Jououheika no Onshou)
“Her Majesty’s Reward”

While the harem hijinks were on full display this episode, there were actually some important developments going on with Tabitha back in Gallia. There was a hilarious A-plot bolstered by a more serious B-plot, which began to intertwine as the episode went on. I’ll take each in turn.

What is a crazy mass-murderer doing in my ecchi fantasy anime? …and why couldn’t he have come sooner?

「アクイレイアの巫女」 (Akuireia no Miko)
“The Priestess of Aquieleia”

They are wasting no time on diving into some pretty major plot developments this season. Of course, it makes sense being that this is the last one, but you still don’t usually see an invasion brewing that is intent on blotting out all that is pure and kind until at least episode four. Not that I’m complaining!

「聖国のルイズ」 (Seikoku no Ruizu)
“Louise of the Holy Kingdom”

Louise, Saito and the whole crew are back for one last season, and if this first episode is any indication, it just might be the best one of them all.

Summary:
Inside Gallia, Kirche uses her charm to entice some information out of a drunk soldier concerning where Tabitha is.

Summary:
On the run from Henrietta’s forces, Saito and company decide to take refuge at Scarron’s place.

Summary:
In light of Tabitha’s disappearance, Saito and the others are looking around outside Tristain Academy when suddenly a naked girl falls out of the sky.

Summary:
Kirche and Colbert have returned to Tristain Academy on the expedition ship Ostland and have invited everyone onboard for a reception.

Summary:
After fighting over Saito one night, Siesta goads Louise into a competition over which of them Saito will choose.

Summary:
After getting a magic love drug from Jessica, Siesta fantasizes about using it on Saito, but she feels that she shouldn’t manipulate his heart using magic.

Summary:
After what happened in the infirmary, Louise makes Saito read a confession detailing what he did despite his attempts to explain what actually happened.
