Summary:
After having Ishida take Rantao away, Ichigo initiates bankai and starts his battle with Kariya. The Bount runs at first, but then uses his wind power to knock Ichigo completely through one tower and crashing into a second. Ichigo responds with a Getsuga Tenshou attack that completely destroys the first tower and cuts into the nearby wall, but is avoided by Kariya. Rantao and Ishida meanwhile are making their way through Seireitei when they run into Inoue and Sado along with the three mod-souls. Ririn notices that Ishida’s accessory is gone, yet there wasn’t a large explosion like there was supposed to be when it broke. Ishida explains that he figured out it wouldn’t happen if he only used the accessory to amplify spirit particles. Hitsugaya and Rangiku soon arrive and learn that Ichigo is fighting Kariya. The captain wants to go help, but Rantao stops him and warns of another power. It seems that there was more than one Joukaishou, which were experimentally used to create spirit particles, and after the first explosion that wiped out one-tenth of Seireitei, the rest were sealed off. The danger is that if Kariya explodes the one he has inside of him, the others are likely to go off too. In order for this not to happen, Rantao thinks that they should re-seal the other Joukaishou. She’s about to hand Hitsugaya a book, but she grows faint on her feet and nearly falls over from pushing herself too far earlier. After the captain takes the book and leaves, Inoue leads the rest of the group to go help Ichigo.
By this time, Kariya and Ichigo have taken their fight to the hill where the Soukyoku stood. Ichigo doesn’t notice that an injured Ichinose has also come up here, and so he’s almost caught off guard when the Ichinose attacks. Over at the library, Hitsugaya is showing Kyouraku and Ukitake the book he got from Rantao, which includes a map of all the locations of the sealed Joukaishou. Nanao then sends a message to the other captains and ranking division members informing them of the situation. Word of this reaches the sixth division where Rukia is resting at, causing her to wake up from the commotion outside. Concerned about Ichigo, she gets out of bed and goes out. Back in the Soukyoku area, Ichinose locks blades with Ichigo, but he’s actually here to ask Kariya about Koga and the other Bount. After Kariya reports that they’re all dead, Ichinose attacks Ichigo again, but Ichigo is able to knock him back. Although he gets back up, Ichinose turns his blade towards Kariya. He had originally gone alone with what Kariya was doing because he saw his old captain in the Bount. However, Ichinose’s battle with Zaraki reminded him that he had once wanted to make Seireitei better. He and his old captain had the same goals, but his feelings had changed to revenge after the captain died.
Ichinose is thus willing to let Kariya’s power to restore Seireitei, but will stop the Bount if that power is used for revenge. He believes that revenge cannot give birth to anything, and since Koga and the others are dead, he’s the only one left to stop Kariya. All this time, Kariya has been powering himself up and eventually admits that he can’t do what Ichinose wants. He stops Ichinose’s wrist from swinging his zanpaktou down and explains that thanks to Ichinose, he’s gotten enough time to allow the Joukaishou to flow through himself. The devastating punch Kariya then delivers knocks Ichinose back and causes him to fall down. When Ichinose still tries to grab onto him, Kariya blows him away with his wind power. The Bount then turns toward Ichigo, who is angry that Kariya would do that to one of his comrade. Kariya, however, didn’t think of Ichinose in that way – he was just a chess piece to Kariya. To finish the battle with Ichigo, Kariya calls forth his doll Messer, which covers his arm and takes the form of a sword. As those two attack each other, Rukia is meanwhile getting caught by Renji as she is attempting to leave the sixth division. With everything that’s going on, Rukia surprises Renji by asking him to take her to Soukyoku.
Well, the OP and ED sequences were the same as last week, aka. the movie preview. Maybe this is the last time they’ll show it since this Saturday is when the movie comes out. Or maybe this’ll be the OP/ED sequences until the new season, which isn’t that far off. Hard to imagine that at this time last year, the Soul Society arc was drawing to a close in this very same Soukyoku area.
In any case, Ichinose turns out to be still alive, but he’s so weak now that he just got beat back down by Kariya again. More interesting to me is the fact that Rukia is attempting to get involved again, but I’m not sure how much she can do in the few episodes this arc has left. Kariya finally bringing out his Doll wasn’t all that impressive, but with this arc coming to a close, I don’t really care what they do – I’m pretty much at the point where I just want it to end.
And on that note, next week is episode 108, but Bleach will then be taking a two week break. It will return on January 4th, though it’s noteworthy that that’s a Thursday. They do not appear to be changing the air-date permanently, so Bleach should go back to Wednesdays the following week.

Man this was the lamest shit i´ve ever seen on bleach!!! based on:

” WE ARE ALL FRIENDS AND WE ARE FIGHTING FOR A BETTER WORLD FOR US BOUNT AND THIS SHINIGAMI IS MY FRIEND ” ( BY KARIYA )
    – Now we have this:
” EVERYBODY IS DEAD THEY WERE MY PAWNS AND NOW I HATE THE WORLD AND I AM GOING TO DESTROY EVERYTHING STARTING FROM HERE….AND YES I WAS THAT LITTLE BOY THAT ESCAPED TO EARTH….I DON´T KNOW HOW BY I WENT TO EARTH SOMEHOW!!! ”

  5. yay rukia is back finally lol, My guess is rukia wants to watch ichigo fight and she knows if shes there ichigo will fight even harder since she is kinda in danger being there. But for the most part she just wants to be there to suport him like all his friends ^^

Humm thinking about it rukia is actually going to have a big part here.

Heres my therey, things look hopeless karia is about to win and ichigo cant take it that everyone is about to die so he goes all hollow and kills karia by braking this doll. Ichigo wins but is wild attacking everyone is sight, rukia stops him by jumping in front of perhaps rengi to save him and talks to hollow ichigo which makes normal ichigo brake the mask and stap out of it.

*nods* ya I can see that happaning easy ^^

  6. The Fight between Ichigo and Kariya was pretty good in the first minutes of episode 107. But then it became confusing for example letting Ichinose return from the dead. Why couldn´t he die when Kenpachi defeated him. In the end, he died in vain, but Rukia was able to have some screen-time. A normal episode with no great things happening. Oh! Only one episode of Bounto arc. ^^

By the way, has anyone seen this Ova called Freedom by Katsushiro Otomo of Akira fame. It´s quite good. Omni, please try to see the first episode. It´s a mix of Appleseed and Akira in style and story.

  7. Omni: “If Sunrise was lending out their writers, then Koga would be alive too since we never saw his body fade away to sand.”

Well, there’s still two episodes of Bount Arc left…

  8. that would be a cool storyline chaosdemon06, i also hope that rukia has a bigger part in the last episode concerning ichigo since she’s been absent for a few eps already. and i don’t know if it’s just me but i’m kinda noticing inoue having feelings for him. she’s acting the same way now about wanting to be by ichigo’s side just like the time when he was fighting with byakuya. aw crap, i really hope ichigo just stays friends with her.

  10. I can’t believe people are surprised that Ichinose is still alive. Rule 1: If a character is defeated, but you don’t actually him/her die on screen, there’s a 95% probability that character will make a dramatic return.

Which is why Koga will show up again before the end. Probably.

  11. I gave up, sadly, very early on in the bounto arc… but I check in every now and again to see if it’s over yet. I like to believe some day I could be a fan of Bleach again and the wonderful anime that gave me characters like Yoruichi. Keep the posts coming… better you watching it than me! 🙂
