I have to say, I laughed out loud when Love declared that making the first move meant victory. As we all should know, in shounen fighting series like Bleach, making the first move almost always means that the enemy will survive and be able to one-up whatever that move was, if not outright win. And as we saw at the end of this chapter, Starrk is proving exactly that. His wolves probably aren’t even his most powerful ability either since I assume Rose will be joining in at some point, and Starrk might need something else to beat both of them. All this is basically to say that, as much as I wish for something unpredictable and awesome to happen in the flow of this battle since Starrk is such a likable character – and I don’t mean showing new abilities, I mean like a sudden death or Aizen stepping in or something – I’m not getting my hopes up. And regardless of the outcome, how exactly is Harribel supposed to top this? In other words, how come her battle wasn’t shown first?
