「 護廷十三隊、現世に集結!」 (Gotei juusan tai, gensei ni shuuketsu!)
“Gotei 13, Gathering in the Real World!”

Summary:
Nozomi is taken to the Urahara shop where Chad, Ishida, and Inoue watch over her. After she wakes up, Kon attempts to question her, but she continues to disregard him. Ichigo and Rukia meet up with the other shinigami to discuss the situation. In Soul Society, Inaba also meets up with all the Reigai to discuss their plans.

Inoue organizes a barbeque in attempt to cheer up Nozomi. However, Nozomi suddenly leaves, telling Kon it’s none of her concern. Rangiku arrives and says she’d take care of thing and Kon lets them go, but then runs into the real Rangiku and realizes his mistake. He runs back to save Nozomi, but is beat up badly. The other shinigami arrive, and the reigai Rangiku slips away.

Impressions:
Kon is so dumb and the way he tries to play hero is even worse than Ichigo’s. It’s pretty damn funny seeing Nozomi mess with him, but Kon really does screw things up. Even then though, I felt kind of bad seeing him get stomped and cut up. He tends to be a brave soul, but is generally too stupid to make any use of it.

This episode didn’t move things along that much, but I don’t see anything significant to criticize either. The things we didn’t know last week, we still don’t know now. The way Nozomi is so quiet makes everything more mysterious too. It’s progressing as I expected however, as she slowly opens up, thanks to the efforts of others. Inaba and the reigai continue to attempt to capture her, and they are also pretty interesting as the reigai really are near perfect copies, down to all the personality quirks, except for the fact that they are controlled by someone else (through the bracelets possibly). It will be cool to see the shinigami fight their own clones, and there’s even hints of an Ichigo clone in the preview, though I’m not sure if that’s what it is.

  1. Good thing they didn’t make a Reigai of Uryuu, because then we would have twice the pompous Quincy attitude, and nobody needs anymore of that lol.

  2. Well, it’s clear that Rangiku may need to get some makeup. I’m rather shocked to see that Ichigo is going to get a regai. I would like to see what the clone is like.

  3. There was a big problem this episode. When Kon met the real Rangiku and Ichigo, him running off without telling anyone is a massively stupid move. So massive that i don’t see even Kon doing it. He could simply say “Follow me” or “Nozomi’s been kidnapped”. I mean you have 3 people capable of doing shunpo and you leave them there to run with 2 short feet?

    1. more are trusting Kon to protect Nozomi, he did so well while in Ichigo’s body and mute, orange tits and male tsundere focusing more on the BBQ instead of watching Nozomi.
Funny that Byakuya was in Ichigo’s room, I would think he rather stay outside.

  4. Wouldn’t it be a shock if they later reveal that the fake Rangiku that escaped is actually the real Rangiku being pushed in by the fake, and now the fake Rangiku has succeeded in infiltrating the group? But that would be a little cliche.

    1. That’s a good point, what the hell DID happen to Kon once Ichigo stopped leaving his body for extended periods of time? Is he stuck in the stuffed lion form, did Soul Society take him and lock him away, WTF happened Kubo?

  5. Im expecting the shameless use of Final Getsuga Tenshou to kill the main villian, and end the filler arc. This means Ichigo will lose all reiatsu (again), and the anime will transition into the current Show Spoiler ▼

    of the manga.

It really annoys me how all the anime characters will use their ultimate techniques against characters clearly weaker than them (for example, Yoruichi used Shunko against lieutenant level opponents)
