C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control – 11 (END)

「Control(未来)」 (Mirai)
“Future”

Perhaps the crisis became so severe that the situation of the Financial Districts leaked out to the general public, but I’m not sure why the news media are reporting on C when only entres and certain organizations are aware of Midas money and Financial Districts.

Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai II – 11

「いつも心に太陽を」 (Itsumo Kokoro ni Taiyo wo)
“A Sun In Your Heart, Always”

I didn’t know how he’d manage to do it, but Keima once again proves just how amazing his skills at dating capturing girls are. At the end of last week’s episode, I was really curious about how Keima was going to break that student-teacher barrier standing in front of him. As I’ve been saying since this arc started, I don’t know how the inherent problems with trying to date a teacher would fly in this situation.

Summer 2011 Preview!

As the summer season draws upon us, it’s time to take an in-depth look at what’s just around the corner. There are 26 shows to choose from, marking a significant increase from the 16 offered last summer. Brain’s Base is making a splash this season with three productions, all of which show a lot of promise. Sunrise is back with another original series, leading the way in the fantasy department. BONES and Production I.G are going the sci-fi and heartfelt drama route with their noitaminA shows, plus the latter is providing an original vampire series of its own. GAINAX also makes a rare appearance, providing the standout mystery series of the bunch, though J.C. Staff may have something to say about that with its own adaptation. It’s a bustling summer season with a lot of high school romantic comedies to round it out, which is great for getting back into the blogging swing of things.

* A season poll is available on the sidebar. It will automatically close on July 1st at 6:00 AM PST to coincide with the start of the season.
* This preview will be kept at the top for the next while, so be sure to scroll past it or check the Recent Entries on your right for new posts.

Hanasaku Iroha – 12

「じゃあな」 (Jyaana)
“See you”

In an unexpected turn of events, the whole idea of a love triangle was destroyed single handedly with one episode. While I feel a little apprehensive about making such a bold statement, I’d have to say that things don’t feel like they’re going the way I thought they originally might have. At least, not for the next few episodes.

Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae wo Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai. – 11 (END)

「あの夏に咲く花」 (Ano Natsu ni Saku Hana)
“The Flower Blooming on That Summer”

Two weeks ago, I dreamt up Anohana’s finale. It was completely random and unexpected. Sadly, I also completely forgot about it, and I wish I hadn’t. Partly because it would’ve been hilarious to write about here, and interesting to compare it to the finale we’ve come to today. Such a storm of tears with the emotional weight of a freight train has inevitably left me battered, like the stillness you experience when your mind is still processing a shock, and it takes a little while just to take it all in. But you know what? They pulled it off. They really did.
