「僕と浴衣とお祭り騒ぎっ!」 (Boku to Yukata to Omatsurisawagi!)
“Me, Yukata, and Festival Fun Times!”

Another episode down and there’s still no classroom warfare! But it’s okay, since I’m willing to forgive the series after demonstrating its impressive way of recapping without dedicating an entire episode for recap. Even though it’s been that long since I’ve watched the first season, I love how I’m slowly remembering things. The feeling of going “OH! YEAH” every ten minutes or so means Silver Link must be doing a good job with this sequel.

Just like how Akihisa felt something was a bit strange when everyone was acting so normal after such a serious incident, I can’t believe I actually started to believe that our crazy group of girls decided to let what happened last episode slide by. I should have known something was strange when Akira was acting like such an innocent older sister! I suppose I was a bit preoccupied focusing on Himeji and Minami trying to hit on Akihisa and Shouko constantly trying to force her love on Yuuji.

But things started to feel right when all the guys were rounded up and forced to cross-dress. Besides giving me another chance to say “IT’S A TRAP!” I’d have to admit that most of the guys looked pretty good in their yukatas. It’s a bit strange when Hideyoshi isn’t the sole focus of cross-dressing jokes, but it was a nice change of pace to watch the other guys suffer the same embarrassment he usually feels. That embarrassment coming in the form of cheers and praises for how cute they are, even though they’re GUYS.

I can’t believe that I forgot about Himeji’s amazing cooking skills. While I didn’t immediately remember why all the guys were being so cautious about Himeji getting hear anything even resembling a kitchen, that last screen with all the guys dying in the van jogged my memory. Rest in peace.

We’re already two episodes in and still no battles?! I’m still waiting for some sort of impressive battle between Class F and whichever class decides to stand in their way. While the humor of this show is probably more than enough to carry it along, the premise of this show promises crazy battles that are somehow educational. I want to watch Class F fight again!

  1. I was just as surprised there was not as much focus on Hideyoshi this episode, especially for the competition.

As for Shouko, just remember, you cannot spell “violence” without “love”.

  2. This episode was not really interesting. The nonsensical abuse the 2 characters take wears thin when repeated especially for Yuji’s case since he made a strong showing in season 1.

  3. Loved the first season and the OVAs…I liked the past couple of episodes but is it me or something is lacking? It looks like they had some sort of purpose last season and right now, it somehow feels different.

    1. My thought is exactly, it seem to me that this season baka is not as funny as the last. It seem that all the joke is already been done for and overused. I hope it will improve soon enough.

  4. Tasting Himeji’s food must be the ultimate punishment lol. I wonder if the girls knew all along about her amazing cooking skills.

Hideyoshi in that competition is like win by default.

  5. Okay they’re done “punishing” the boys, so lets get back to the awesome. The festival and yukata contest were great and all, but everyone hating on the boys was old LAST episode. What made season 1 great is still there, now focus more on that.

  6. Oh, i wanted to tell you guys that an arc is missing from the anime. You see Himeji is supposed to call akihisa “yoshii-kun”. There was suppose to be an arc to change that. It seem like beginning of season 2, they already jumped over that arc.

    1. actually I remember 1st season already remedied that and showed how/when himeji started calling him akihisa-kun. im not sure if it was diff or the same from the manga though, I might need to check up again.

  7. I dunno weither my humor changed since the last season or I really need the battles again, but I think Season 2 is pretty weak rightnow. There are some funny moments, but most of the time I just feel kinda bored.

  8. The cross dressing situation have make me laugh since the recent episode of Gintama 2. Their plan backfired and gathered more applause than expected, Yuuji getting hit by the pervert judge is flawless with his lover gets jealous to extreme. The four men incapacitated since they didn’t catch any fish as a result makes it funny than season 1.
