Well, no matter what happens from here on out, I think what’s guaranteed for sure is an intense fight between Jager and Tsuna. Maybe – and this is wishful thinking – the upcoming battle will showcase some kind of partnership between Hibari, Mukuro, and the Vongola Decimo.

Aside from Tsuna’s grand entrance, the most interesting thing in this chapter has to be that one moment Jager couldn’t short-warp. It wasn’t an accident, and I’m guessing it has a lot to do with Bermuda and the Eighth Flame. This is just a conjecture, but judging by how the Vindice members were acting last chapter, it’s possible that the Flame of Night actually draws power from others instead of the user. This would mean the supply of energy isn’t constant, and it’s highly likely Bermuda is acting as the power medium for Jager, which would explain why they seem to be in close proximity all the time. Another thing to keep in mind is the one known rule regarding the use of the Eighth Flame: one must have a physical body. I don’t know about anyone else, but I have a hard time believing how anyone with a physical body can leave their body parts behind so willingly.

Lastly, Hibari and Mukuro’s flame attributes can be quite helpful here and I do hope they aren’t relegated to the sidelines as convenient punching bags. Hibari can use the propagation ability of his Cloud Flame, and Mukuro can supplement that with the illusions cast by his Mist Flame to try and trap Jager – he may be able to short-warp, but there’s only so many places he can short-warp to. There’s also the fact he needs to know where he can stab people. Blocking Bermuda’s and Jager’s sights might have a good chance of preventing the warp.

  1. I wonder if Bermuda is the only one who can actually use the 8th flam. Then he “charge” the rest Vindice up, that is why, the guy (forgot his name) said, “as long as Bermuda is beside Jager” then they will not loose, or something along the line. This could also explained why Jager did not short-warp at that time, because he was either too far from Bermuda or was low on battery.
So, yea, thus the condition: a body is need to hold the 8th flame,

    1. That is also my theory. Bermuda may have taught the other Vindice how to use the flame of the night, but Bermuda alone is able to generate it. The Vindice all had their pacifiers drained of any flame, and Bermuda “filled up” the empty space with his flame of the night. But since this flame is not from the actual person, it will eventually run out from continuous use, as demonstrated by Jager.

      1. So does this mean Bermuda is helping (physically) during the battle? In Ch 356, the rule states that the Arcobaleno are just going sit and watch during the battles. So won’t this mean Bermuda should be disqualified?

      2. Well, Verde also interfered with his Green Mosca. I believe the actual rule is that the Arcobaleno cannot fight against each other, since that would risk damaging the pacifier, but can fighting against other combatants. That is the purpose of the curse-free time.

      3. What I’m trying to ask is that are the Arcobaleno allow in the fight w/o their 3 mins? If no, and if Bermuda really just charge his(?) flames into the Vindice members’ body, then won’t it be against the Rule? I mean look at other Arcobaleno, Fong, Reborn, or Colonnello, they did not fight (physically at least) in their infant forms……

  2. they killed half of the main characters so……….I wonder if they are going to survive………maybe with verde real illusions they can reattach everything back to its original place……….lets wee what stuna can do next week

  3. I wouldn’t have it any other way than with the top three guys to battle out the final boss. Tsuna is the only one to bring Mukuro and Hibari to cooperate and the next chapter is going to be in color~I’ll try to contain my excitement.
P.S. That sounds like a would-be good plan on the Vongola’s side but I don’t think Jager/Bermuda ran out of moves either.

  4. I know I post this on the last chapter but no one answered so I will post again w/ some corrections…..

    I have a few questions:
According to chapter 356, each team contain, 1 boss watch, 1 Arcobaleno watch, and 6 battler watches. Since Team Colonnello, Fon, Skull, and Yuni are defeated, their battler watches (extra or not) are not usable anymore right?

So this means, judging from the 1st page of chapter 380, Team Verde has 2 extra battler watches left. Team Mammon, after Fong trashed theirs, has 1 extra battler watches left. Team Reborn, after Chrome join in Ch 382, has only 1 battler watch left. In other words, a total of 4 extra battle watches usable.

In the current battle, Byakuran, Enma, Basil, and Hiari are join the final battle (?), so this means there should not be any more people coming to the rescue/help/bring out a major power-up right?
