「ヒーロービルボートチャートJP」 (Hiirou Biruboudo Chaato Jeipii)
“Japanese Hero Billboard Chart”

First of all: I’m so happy for Eri-chan!! She gets a good (big) family, and a big brother (or young father) to look after her. I’m so happy for her ;_; And for the Wild Wild Pussycats, who are getting back on the job. It is indeed heartening to know people are there for you, wishing you well and waiting for your return. Also: Izuku is really good with kids. Must be because he’s so earnest with them, and never looks down on anyone. Just so much good in the opening moments of this episode.

As for the meat of the episode, it was all about Hawks (Nakamura Yuuichi). An interesting guy, he brings some fun to interactions with Endeavor, and his feathers are crazy versatile. I like how he straddles the line between lazy and dilligent. He doesn’t want to be the number one hero, but he wants there to be a good one, so he’ll “produce” Endeavor. He doesn’t want to work hard, but he doesn’t just slack off, so he’s going to make a world where heroes have plenty of free time. It’s a better version of laziness, one that works hard now to work less later. And when shit hits the fan, he’s all business.

Is it overly convenient that a nomu attacks the two of them right as they’re together? Yes. But we’re running out of time in this season, which is why an ending with the pro heroes is such a great idea. Set the larger stakes with a conflict that needs little setup. Endeavor is number one now, so the League of Villains are going to take shots. Excellent. Let’s have us one more fun battle before this season comes to a close.

  1. – Wild Wild Pussycats in casual clothing? MASAKA!!
    – Is it too much for me to ask that Horikoshi-sensei brings back Mirio’s quirk through Eri-chan? But it’s his call at the end of the day.
    – I’m convinced that pro hero Wash is secretly a pokemon and that no one discovered it yet.
    – I like how Endeavor’s redemption arc is deliberately slow after everything that happened with him.
    – Hell. Freakin. Yes! Hawks is gonna be one of the best things to look forward to going forward.
