“Adult Event Time”

You know, I honestly have no idea which between hot and bothered or downright disturbed is the more appropriate response when it comes to Full Dive now. And that’s probably a good thing. Between the sheer amount of chaos slowly building up and the appearance of increasingly hilarious character types, something is bound to break – and oh what a break it’s going to be.

After being copiously teased for a couple weeks, this episode finally gave us our introduction to Misariza, and what is definitely a fan favourite in waiting. Besides the surprise of this girl being an NPC (I did not see that one coming), she also happens to be a local inquisitor, which by Kiname Quest standards means a closet sadist with one hell of a limb fetish. Don’t let alluring outfits and tomboyish personality get the better of you, those shark teeth aren’t for show as Hiro discovered the hard and wet way. It’s a hilarious bait and switch which is only made better by the complete unknown regarding how Misariza fits into the rest of the story, because she’s definitely not a one-off as OP and ED show. Are we looking at the next Alicia set to spend her time incessantly stalking little Hiro in a quest for self-satisfaction? Not damn idea, but I’m slightly hoping it winds up being the case. A yandere-sadist combo? Why yes, I shall take your entire stock please.

As for the actual plot at work things are also about to get interesting in the not-too-distant future. Hiro after all won’t be staying logged out of Kiwame Quest for long; besides Reona’s hefty cheerleading both in game and in real-life being a decent magnet, there’s the allure of beating the game itself which has already been teased. It may take a bit of big breasted berating soul searching, but I expect Hiro will log back in pretty damn quick once his real-life circumstances come back into focus and he starts seeing the game as a way of overcoming his past accident (whatever that is) and proving video game haters wrong.

No guarantees he won’t regret that decision of course, but one way or another this little MMORPG story is just getting started.

  1. Yeah, sorry, I only chuckled when Alicia showed up for a moment.
And the serious stuff is not good enough for me to work.
Between this and Sentouin, I gotta go with the latter so far.

  2. Well, that was an interesting 3-episode OVA!

So did he wet himself in “real” life? Also, for the record, I don’t think I ever
cleared a game event by peeing myself in game or otherwise 🥰. Does
he scream in real life while playing the game — and does his sister/family
    not hear him?

I gatta admit, I can’t look away from this series at this point. It’s too soon to
judge this series – is it trash or genius storytelling (weird and unconventional)?
It’s crazy, but intriguing at the same time.

Of course he’ll login again, but knowing the cost, what reward will Reona
offer him to convince him to do so (I know it’s been hinted that the game is
    beatable by the preview)?

So far this series has made the 3-episode rule by the train-wreck™ exemption.
Can’t wait to see how the next episode will handle the turning point in the story…

    1. Judgment I think is what keeps me so damn interested in watching this one, as you say it could all fall apart at the seams – or it could actually turn into a bit of decent isekai comedy. There’s the spark of something good here, but we have yet to see if the show is capable of maximizing its potential.

      1. Agreed. If the protagonist stays the same with no growth and repeating the same
dopey thinking that gets him in a bad way, then it’s to the trash can with this series.

  3. Unless I see a review here that convinces me that this show is amazingest/groundbreakingest/other superlatives-est, I can’t do this one anymore.
It just seems to be a cringe festival.
Next, hateful baby sis will kindly offer to warm our MC up, and show up wrapped in a towel and holding a flamethrower.

    1. IMO you won’t find anyone who’s going to sell it as something stupendous. I may like the comedy at play, but I’d never consider this one an essential watch or something that will appeal to every isekai fan; it’s middle of the pack at best right now. The main question is whether it improves from here on out, and that frankly no one can answer yet (especially given how little source material exists for it).
