「肉食系女子キメラ」 (Nikushokukei Joshi Kimera)
“Carnivorous Female Chimera!”

Heh that was fun. Really fun. Overwhelmingly, side-achingly fun. Or, you know, just Sentouin finally finding its groove. It’s taken a few weeks and plenty of female humiliation to get to this stage, but I dare say we’re starting to get somewhere.

While desert settings are commonplace for many a survival story or adventure setting (comedy optional), it sure isn’t often you get one which throws together a combination of Dune ideas and veritable cannibalism. The Sand King? Just Shai-Hulud out to protect the spice water. Rose? The best (and cutest) sort of comedic Evil Point generating crosstalk you can get this side of continual Snow humiliation. Hotel? Tentagio. Oh how I swear this band of misfits can do no wrong. Err, right? Yeah, not too sure about the moral compass readings on this one.

Outside of panty dropping and failed necrophilia though the interesting bit for me continues to be the world systems hiding in plain sight. Alice after all is entirely correct, something is up with this world’s magic system and its juxtaposition against all the future tech, but what specifically is kept just out of reach courtesy of Grimm curses, new enemies, and royal interference. Sure, we might apparently be getting somewhere with the gang now out to pull their version of Indiana Jones on some unsuspecting ruins (I feel for poor Heine already), but you know full well something will come up to further thwart the reveals. Maybe that weapon everyone is after doesn’t exist or isn’t what it seems. Maybe the inevitable fight (read: utter humiliation) with Heine will yield some other crisis akin to Grimm last week. Or hell, maybe something else entirely yet to appear.

Lots of options on the table, but I know without a doubt that whatever it is will be a blast to see in action.

  1. Snow:Here, I’ll feed you myself. Say, ‘aah!’
No. 6: “AAARGH! Not the balls! Anything but the balls!”

Look on the bright side…at least it’s not Haachama cooking that Orc dish. (*“Haachama Cooking” music intensifies*)

    Random thoughts:
No. 6: (*to Snow*) “You look hot. Let me take off your clothes.”
Gotta love the double entendre in that line. Too bad the usual skirt-flipping no longer earns “Evil Points” as much as it used to, even if I still love Grimm’s choice of undies.
    – It’s probably just the angle, but Astaroth looks a little more “boing-boing” here than usual…
    – Ah yes, the good old “One dialogue, two conversations” trope. Can’t help but chuckle at how No. 6 easily mistakes Rose’s hunger pangs for (precocious) sexual eagerness.
    – Already had a “Worm sign” (Sand King) hunch once the ground started rumbling and there was a mention of magic being used to concentrate water into those small nuts.

So next episode, there’s gonna be some heist amidst the usual zany shenanigans? (Man, this has become a routine that the show can’t live without, and I’m certainly gonna miss it once the season’s over.) Anyway, I wonder if the “weapon” that No. 6 and Alice are gonna nick from Heine and Russel(?) is actually technology similar to that rusty old tank and rain-making machine?

  2. I just laughed myself to tears when the Sand King has provven to be a giant oversized MOLE.
Then I was chuckling whole way as Six was misunderstanding obvious hunger in Rose’s way of acting…
Also loved when sudden lack of evil points announced Snow’s actual enjoyment of the situation.
This series crosses the line twice, and then starts using the line for skipping.
All the while, Six is too decent for his own good.
He is the only member of team with conscience enough to feel disgust at eating Orc…
    Orc Ribs, anyone?
I wonder what will be that mythic forgotten weapon… jet fighter? attack helicopter? nuke missile?
