Takemoto is still traveling around the countryside, asking for water wherever he can and buying food with his savings. He bikes all the way to Matsushima before the chain on his bicycle breaks.
Today’s insert song is Suga Shikao’s 「Room201」 from his 2001 album 「Sugarless」. It’s a nice slow song. Today’s episode of Honey & Clover continues on with Takemoto’s journey (that looks to be what ep 24 is about too). Now if only C1 or Solar would sub episode 22….
Edit a few hours later: I spoke too soon….
Today’s insert song is Spitz’s 「月に帰る」 (Tsuki ni Kaeru), from all the way back in 1991 off of Spitz’s very first album self-titled 「スピッツ」. It’s hard to believe it’s been fourteen years since this song was released. And the music is still so good…
As usual, it will be blogged when Solar or C1 puts out their sub. Until then, I leave you with this teaser and this one.
Takemoto is still unsuccessful at finding a job until he gets introduced to one of Hanamoto-sensei’s former students, Usui. After getting acquainted, Usui notices that Takemoto has a good eye and hires him.
Yamada, who is reeking of alcohol, is taken home by Miwako after a Ferris wheel ride in Yokohama with Nomiya. Mayama, after heard about it when Nomiya called Miwako early in the morning, feels relieved because he knows that Ferris wheels are something Nomiya holds close to his heart.
Mayama finds Yamada working as a consultant for Fujiwara Design with Nomiya. Angry, he confronts Nomiya about his feelings for Yamada, asking if he really likes her.
This week’s insert song for Honey & Clover is Suga Shikao’s 黄金の月 (Ougon no Tsuki), from the single of the same name (also appeared in his Clover album). Pretty heavy on the electric bass (not that I’m complaining; it’s a good song). Today’s episode focuses again on Yamada and Mayama, but brings some twists in. The scene where they played the insert song was so very perfect for it. As usual, it will be blogged when Solar or C1 puts out their sub. Until then, I leave you with this image and this image.
Morita appears on the awards show, accepts his award, then starts to rave about how the director abandoned him.
Honey & Clover brings us another great song by Suga Shikao. From his Sugarless album, we have Yubikiri (ユビキリ). A nice slow song with an organ (I think) in the background. Today’s episode was great with the return of you-know-who. It will be blogged when Solar or C1 puts out their sub. Until then, I leave you with this image.
Yamada is feeling very upset after having turned down four of childhood friends, but Ippei consoles her by saying it isn’t her fault. At his request, she promises to help with Ippei’s bakery come Christmas time.
