Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? OF THE DEAD – 01

「はい、今再びの魔装変身!」 (Hai, Ima Futatabi no Masou Henshin!)
“Yes, Yet Another Masou Transformation!”

After writing this post, I can no longer become a politician. All my opponents would have to do is find this one post, read the words I have written, look at the screenshots I have laboriously selected, and that’s it. “Yeah, this is why,” they’d say, pointing to the screen. “This is why you don’t want that guy.” And you know what? I don’t care because this show is hilarious!!

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 12 (END)

「はい、まだ続きます」 (Hai, Mada Suzukimasu)
“Yes, There’s Still More”

The infamous beach/pool episode — who would have thought that something so simple could be done so skillfully? With the actual story finishing last episode, all I can say is that this final episode left on a really happy note.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 10

「いえ、それは爆発します」 (Ie, Sore wa Bakuhatsu shimasu)
“No, That Will Explode”

As much as I don’t want to admit it, Zombie seems to be jumping all over the place in terms of plot. From reading the comments and judging by how crazy the story seems, I can sense an anime original ending ready to fall upon us. While I’m not sure if that is a bad thing, I’m pretty sure it isn’t a great thing.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 09

「はい、脱ぐと凄いんです」 (Hai, Nugu to Sugoin desu.)
“Yes, you won’t believe what’s under this”

I can honestly say that this episode was full of surprising moments — from Yuu having to deal with her past, Sera contemplating the moral issues of killing a friend, Dai-sensei blowing stuff up, all the way to Tomonori spawning something pretty scary from inside her. Personally I thought it was a bit too much to cram into one episode. Then again, after I watched the whole episode I felt strangely satisfied at the end.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 07

「おい、お前どこ中だよ?」 (Oi, Omae Doko Chuu Da yo?)
“Hey, What Middle School Do You Go To?”

After I remembered how the producers promised that this show would be full of laughs, battles, shocking revelations, and plot twists, I’m glad to say that they’ve managed to pull through and provide everything they promised and then some. For me, the return to a slice of life styled episode signaled the beginning of the humor I’ve missed for the past two weeks.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 06

「そう、私は死を呼ぶもの」 (Sou, Watashi wa Shi wo Yobumono)
“Yes, I am the Harbinger of Death”

Did I say something about Kyoko being overpowered last week? It’s more like everyone plus Kyoko is overpowered! But in a show where things aren’t overly serious most of the time, its pretty fun to watch both the good guys and bad guys have equally over powered moments. With Kyoko busting out a combination of moves ranging from a Megalo’s to a Masou Shoujo’s, I was excited to watch just how Yuu was going to deal with her.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 05

「ええ、京豆腐どすえ」 (Ee, Kyoutoufu Dosue)
“Yes, It’s Kyoto Tofu.”

Something about all the little quirks in this show make every episode that much more interesting. Starting off strong with a shaky cam of a little Haruna and Sera kissing and blood sucking action, I was pumped for some fantastic fan-service scenes.

Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? – 04

「ちょ、俺輝いてる?」 (Cho, Ore Kagayaiteru?)
“Am I Shining?”

And I thought that Kore wa Zombie Desu ka couldn’t get any better — apparently I was wrong again. Somehow this show manages to combine the perfect amount of humor with spot on timing while still retaining some kind of seriousness when the time calls for it.
