「Hidden」
While I would’ve been fine with this arc involving Mario’s indictment and facing seven years in prison dragging out longer, I’m quite happy about it wrapping up swiftly this episode so that the story can move on to more interesting things.

「Annoyance」
If there’s one thing to be thankful for this episode, it’s that the arc involving Ishihara and Sasaki appears to be a done deal. However, just when things were finally taking a turn for the better, Mario lashing out at an angry drunk lands him in police custody again.

「Revenge」
Details behind Baremoto’s plan aside, the boys’ revenge on Sasaki did turn out more or less like I was expecting. The same goes for Ishihara, whom Mario deemed too worthless to kill after learning how Sakuragi gave him Hagino’s note to try and end things once and for all.

「Recollect」
Nothing major was added in this recap episode told from Mario’s perspective, but it did go over everything that’s happened up until now. Time-wise, it slots in just after he received the bullet from Setsuko and before embarking to Numazu, Shizuoka to find and kill Ishihara.

「Promise」
It wasn’t looking good for Sakuragi last time and the preview suggested he wasn’t going to pull through either, so I can’t say I’m too surprised by how things unfolded. More than anything though, I’m just bothered by how it came down to this. An-chan, you idiot.

「Showdown」
Wow, the last thing I was expecting Sakuragi to do in the face of a drugged up Ishihara out to kill him is show him some compassion.

「Vengeance」
Even after the blackmailing with Hagino’s blood-stained will last time, it was fairly obvious that wasn’t going to be last we would see of Ishihara and Sasaki. However, I wasn’t expecting them to come back in full force the very next episode, with a drugged up Ishihara no less.

「Lament」
Payback is normally a bitch, but Ishihara and Sasaki get off surprisingly easy after killing Hagino and putting Sakuragi and the others through hell.

「Freedom」
It’s not every day you see such a strong depiction of self-sacrifice to help friends, but RAINBOW is taking tops in that regard with Mario and the others’ attempt to escape prison and save An-chan’s life. They don’t all make it though, so I fear the worst for those who were left behind.

「Determination」
After witnessing exactly how corrupt Ishihara and Sasaki are, it was probably only a matter of time before somebody ended up getting killed in the juvenile corrections institute again. Regardless, I was still pretty shocked when I found out who their next victim turned out to be.
