「陰謀」 (Inbō)
“Conspiracy”
I’ve included all past codes in this post for the game side quest tie-in, just in case you need them. I was reading that there are hidden codes in the anime and I thought it would be cool to include them in the coverage.
Scarlet Nexus continues this week with somewhat incremental pacing, it feels like they’re trying to fit the whole game in just 13 episodes. It’s not necessarily terrible but can make for a chaotic watching experience for those that wished every single tidbit of the game was adapted into the anime. However, there’s always more content to be enjoyed inside the game if you wish to do so. If you are truly falling in love with these characters, and are enjoying Scarlet Nexus for what it is, and the story here presented.
I see some people genuinely enjoying it, and others thinking it’s mid-tier. So I say enjoy! And don’t let other people tell you that it’s wrong or you have bad taste. Fancy what you want, for the reasons you want. The rest – so be it.
This week the big plot reveal shocker was that the Other’s, the monster of this series, are people, and the OSF has a hidden agenda with them. Having lied to their soldiers, now the good guys act as the bad guys.
With Naomi gone, Kasane struggles to make sense of the world, as The Red Strings are appearing before her, a weird towering space with interconnecting red string from top to bottom, I have no idea where they’re going with this plot point, but I’m curiously looking. I do feel an interesting bit in this part of the lore that could lead the story in a weird and or exciting inclination.
As for the big reveal, my reaction was that it was okay. I even remember someone mentioning in the RC comments that the monsters could be humans. (Thanks Vision!) This is exactly what happened, the OSF are fighting humans that turn into monsters, and now select soldiers in the OSF have to deal with that whole moral problem. Nagi got his memory whipped and doesn’t remember anything, but when the group gets ambushed. Nagi has a giant headache that makes him go crazy. He was weapons out and ready to attack everyone on sight. Pretty much gone berserk.
One other important point of mention is how swiftly Kasane’s family was quick to disband her because of Naomi’s death. Just because it’s easy for her mother to relinquish Kasane and get rid of her guilt. But that’s the worst type of person, she loved Naomi more than Kasane and now can’t help but blame everything on Kasane. I mean adults are supposed to be able to deal with their emotional drama, not place them on their children as a form of release. But whatever – it was something minor, but it still seemed pretty messed up, just because Kasane is adopted, she is looked down upon after the supposed death of Naomi.
Kasane is only able to see the red strings under extreme emotional pressure, and it seems like they’re beckoning her. The next episode’s title is exactly that, Red Strings, so maybe we’ll be getting some answers on this part of the lore! I’m not exactly excited about this show, and neither brimming with anticipation for next’s week episode, it’s pretty much a casual watch at this point. It’s not exactly revolutionary, other than it’s one big PR stunt that makes me want to buy the game more and more. With each passing episode that probability increases. I’m becoming familiar with this world and finding relatable things in each character, and that’s enough for me to be present in this atmosphere. So playing the game, and jumping into it, is less difficult with each passing week.
And maybe that’s what their intention was from the very beginning, so at least something must be working!

Gameplayers say the main plot has many major twists and turns revealed in each level of a character’s route (there are 12 levels/phases).
That said, you do need to play both Yuito and Kasane’s routes ingame to understand the whole story as each route has its own special reveals (the anime will likely combine the revelations into one narrative).
I just literally finished both Yuito’s and Kasane’s story and I loved both them and I have to say the anime is handling it really well even adding some stuff that was mentioned but never shown in the game.
and thanks for adding the codes I really try to find them myself, but never can so it helps a lot ^^
What are the codes for?
In-game cosmetics and some additions to character biographies.
