“A Sound Argument”
Ah yes, this is the SnK I remember: eyes, lots of eyes, and yet more crazy faces with even crazier eyes. If there’s one thing you can bank on for this series it’s that whenever we get a bit of downtime, the lack of action will be made up for with suspense. Whether or not it will yield fruitful results is obviously unclear, but I think we’ll get something on the fun front.
Building off the tensions and distrust displayed by the Paradisians previously, this week more or less continued in the same vein, albeit now on a more personal level. Just take Misaka, I’d wager few anime-only viewers saw that little twist coming or the fact no one outside of Eren had any inkling about it. Then comes Historia with the surprise pregnancy at the hands of a local farm boy that while undeniably influenced by Titan-related matters, probably had as much to do with the potential destruction of Paradis (times of strife have an uncanny ability of increasing the birthrate). Hell even Hange found time to realize just how big a burden she now carries and the difficulty she’ll face trying to keep her ship on the right track. It was as firm a showcase in the challenges Paradis faces finding its place in the greater world as you can get, and we haven’t even hit on Marley’s counterattack yet.
Where the real fun comes, however, is in what Eren will do next. As so bluntly indicated to Hange he’s simply allowing himself to be held; the War Hammer Titan’s power can free him, and no one can kill him if he does get out due to him possessing the Founding Titan (unless consumed by another Titan first). Why he’s going through the motions is certainly due to the camaraderie felt with his friends, but even then (as Connie notes) something has changed in the guy – and probably nothing minor. After all, no one will doubt Eren wants to protect Paradis, but is his (and Zeke’s) currently vague strategy congruent with the intentions of everyone else he holds dear? And what beyond Sasha will be the cost of that strategy? There’s a lot left to still find out, and with a thoroughly enraged Marley waiting in the wings, only so much time to work with.
Better believe someone is going to make a move soon to see their plans for saving Paradis properly realized.

Interesting.
Eren confessing how important his friends are in the flashback was some heartwarming stuff. Followed by the bit about who shouldn’t inherit his Titan with another funny Sascha moment.
Historia getting together with some random guy sure sounds fishy.
So there’s really only 6 episodes left in this WHOLE SHOW?

Hange should inherit Eren’s titan if it comes to that.
It’s worth noting that Mikasa’s tattoo is first addressed in chapter 5 of the manga in a flashback with her mother. The anime did not include this. Furthermore, her wrist is always covered up in the manga, but the anime has shown it uncovered before creating a continuity error in the anime version.
so who banged Historia?
Can’t wait to see this.
don’t click it. It’s malware site
Very stark contrast in Eren before/after meeting Zeke on amicable terms.
This episode couldn’t go out of its way more to show this
