「無限城へ!」 (Mugen-jou e!)
“To the Infinity Castle!”
As the filler train is heading towards its final destination, the story keeps getting better and better! I can really feel that a conclusion is up ahead and it’s going to be a blast. There was hardly any room left for talking as this episode was filled with battles, and I assume that the remaining episodes (of this arc) will be similar to today’s.
One thing that really contributes to the excitement during the battles in FAIRY TAIL is the amazing soundtrack that I can’t praise enough. I noticed several new tracks playing throughout this episode, and all I can say is that I’m dying to get my hands on FAIRY TAIL’s original soundtrack volume four. I think I could watch this episode again just for the music itself. I know I say a lot of positive things about this anime, but it’s not because of the franchise, I truly love the soundtrack, and it’s a pure coincidence that it happened to come from FAIRY TAIL.
I thought Lapointe would be a tougher opponent (he sure gave Natsu a hard time when he fought him as Brain), but it turns out that he was a puppet. This makes me wonder if Imitatia is a puppet too… Michelle was located in a place filled with puppets (the original Michelle), and it seemed like some sort of magic was being performed on her (aside from the one that keeps her in coma). I’m guessing that the original Michelle is related to these puppets.
I do believe Imitatia will be a tougher opponent than Lapointe. Also, the one fighting Lapointe was Gildarts and his strength excels everyone’s. Now that we know why Oración Seis wants Lucy, I’m trying to figure out how Imitatia’s possessive desires will enter the picture. Is Lucy’s physical body all she wants? Will she fight Oración Seis after she has “defeated” FAIRY TAIL? Personally, I just want Imitatia to return to being the clumsy girl known as Michelle.
Zentopia’s opinions are all split in today’s episode. We have some people trying to kill Lucy to save mankind from the harm that the Infinity Clock will cause, and there are those who decided to shut themselves down even though they could’ve been useful in this battle (considering how strong they are), and finally, we have some of those who joined FAIRY TAIL’s side. I hope to see Dan doing the latter soon. Lucy needs her fanboy!
I don’t have much to say about the battles themselves as most of them were just about picking opponents. But I look forward to see how things will go next week where it seems like Gray is up against Angel, and the preview caps make everything look so wrong…
I feel a bit sorry for Gajeel and Gildarts. Both of them fell out of the building and I want to know why Gajeel didn’t form some sort of hook with his metal to grab the building… So now Brain II is probably up against Natsu unless Gildarts and Gajeel show up again somehow. Maybe the Exceeds will save them now that they’re done with their first task? Well, technically it was Wendy doing all the work. And speaking of her, wow, Wendy has really grown. I think Wendy’s character development is the strongest one we’ve seen in FAIRY TAIL. Just imagine how magnificent she will be in the future!
Anyway, more action up ahead for us next week – Gray and Erza will take on Cobra and Angel. Looking forward to that!
Moete kitazou!
Preview
When I look at the Preview, I almost start thinking it’s the same as Gray vs Juvia’s conclusion. He sure has a lot of fans.
Makes you wonder if Angel will have an obsessive crush on Gray just like Juvia.
In the prewiews, Angel looks like Juvia when she first fell in love with Gray…. O_O
So I’m not the only one thinking that xD
Lopointe? Or Byro?
I meant Lapointe when I wrote his name. He was knocked out by Gildarts in the previous episode, no? I mentioned him because of the puppet concept (with the possibility that Imitatia might be something similar, but stronger).
Sorry for being confusing!
The only fight Gildarts had in this episode was against Byro and being in a new paragraph, it would be as if the sentence was in the context of events in the current episode. Furthermore Byro had bragged about his combat training, hence the confusion on whose strength Gildart’s is compared against.
This is just laughable:https://randomc.net/image/FAIRY%20TAIL/FAIRY%20TAIL%20-%20147%20-%20Large%2033.jpg
Anyways, this time for sure Sugar Boy is out of the picture and he is still thinking about Gray (LOL). I also agree that Imitatia will be tough as I see her choice in weapons seem to change by each new screen. But Brain II will definitely take more than a one-on-one fight to conclude this arc. I mean he took out Gajeel and everyone who stood in his way out in a few minutes. But before that final battle comes, I think Gray’s and Erza’s battles will be filled with more flashbacks of Angel’s and Cobra’s past. Speaking of which, I’m still waiting for that KinanaxCobra reunion.

So laponites a fake so what do you think the real Brain is up to.
So if Lapointe is the fake where is the real Brain? and is he involved at all since he is the one who founded Oracion Seis.
On another note. Gray’s battle with Angel looks wrong. But I hope to see more of Angel’s new magic power in the next episode.
I’m usually not fond of fillers since they usually divert from the main plot, but this one is interestingly good.
One of the things that I like about these fillers so far is the interesting face-offs that they’ve chosen for the characters. A fight between Gray and Angel is very interesting, and I can’t help but get the amusing vibe that Angel might get a crush on Gray. That would make for some fun comical material with Juvia if that’s the case. ^ w ^
It obviously looks like things are gradually coming to an end for this arc, and I hope that it will inevitably tie in with the main plot rather than being treated like supplementary material to make up for the risk of overlapping.
