“The Final Battle” (according to the chapter anywho) begins, and it’s not without some fightin’ words to get the blood boiling on both sides. Under Shikaku (Shiikamaru’s father), all the villages start combining their techniques in an attempt to impair the sight of Madara and Obito, while taking this chance to restrict the Ten-Tails movements via the creation of a concrete prison.
Hundreds of chapters have finally led to this one moment—this one united front—and it’s definitely not disappointing to say the least. We get the reveal and usage of a variety of new techniques and tactics, as well as a full-on assessment of Madara and Obito, and well, the chapter’s just full of extra stuff this time around. Still, with Madara and Obito are still looking mighty comfortable, it’s undoubtedly going to be a long fight regardless… but likely a darn enjoyable one.
Looking forward, phew* We got the Ten-Tails maturing, a world’s worth of Shinobi at its footsteps, guys with godly abilities. And while there was some doubt as to whether we were indeed approaching “the end” in some shape of form, it’s sure looking more and more that this may indeed be the final battle that decides it all. Though of course, let’s not forget the potential arrival of a few others are still running around the shadows… Gives me chills thinking about the future chapters.

Good luck on your finals Zephyr. You can see it as your own “Final Battle” :P. I quite like the chapter. All the Nations where helping each other and seeing Shikaku come up with a paln so quickly just pretty much shows how good he is at his job. Thou I’m saying that 10 tails form that we see now is not the “real form” More of a outlayer. Because why else would Madara say that the ten tails is Maturing. Plus he does have both 8 or 9 tails just little parts of it so that could be why it looks like that.

Finals suck, I just had my first one yesterday.
Madara Uchiha has to be the calmest and most confident shinobi ever. No f*cks will be ever be given by him.
I wouldn’t care either if it took a whole alliance of ninjas to do what with 1st Hokage did all by himself. Madara feels the current generation of ninjas are a pale comparison to the era when he was in his prime.
Unless the walking Deus ex Machina, Ochimaru, somehow summons the Deus ex from Beyond the Grave, Hashirama.
Already did and he was sealed away into the Shinigami’s stomach alone with Tobirama by Hiruzen (who also went with them), making it impossible to bring them back at all. Basically, every single previous Hokage before Tsunade is now in the Shinigami’s stomach, lol.
Sweet. Can’t wait to see what happens. I hope they blow the baddies out of the water, but that’s not going to happen. Though I’m sure somewhere at the bring Sasuke will somehow appear and hold Madara and Obito off.
While I enjoy the battles and all, can we focus a little bit more on Hinata? She’s been left hanging on that confession since the Pain arc. Really? I would have thought they would embellish it more after defeating Pain.
Given the poor timing and execution, and the fact that, as you and we all know, they NEVER got back around to it (as if it never happened), it makes me feel like that they only had Hinata’s confession there just to get shipping fans to stop bellyaching about when she’d do so and such. Just a chance for them to squee, lol.
Hard to believe this is actually working, unless Madara pulls an Aizen and says “just as planned.” To be frank, many villages had some problems trying to obtain one Biju. Even if it is a Shinobi alliance, they should have some issues with fighting a monster that has the power of 7 Biju.
If one village can capture, say, the eight tails then it makes sense that an army of every village can hold back the Juubi when it isn’t at full power.
Well, it took what was probably all of their strongest shinobi, including the previous Raikage (who had to use his power just to break off one of Gyuki’s horns), JUST to restrain it enough to be able to seal it away.
And even then, compared to the Jubi, that’s “only” 8 tails that took a village to restrain. This is the Jubi; full power of 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7 tails with a piece of 8 and 9 tails.
I highly doubt this will really work (“realistically”, it shouldn’t anyway). Just 1 Biju spells more than enough for even some of the strongest (“normal”) shinobi, but the Jubi with at least 30+ tails worth of power and now shown to be getting stronger? I don’t think so.
They also seem to have completely forgotten about the fact that Madara can’t be killed right now and has infinite chakra, so trying to attack him in any sense is pointless, and we’ve already seen how he could take down 5 Kage single-handedly. Add in the Rinnegan and the Mokuton and, again, unless there’s some hax secret they’re not showing, it’s utterly impossible to stop him.
This chapter seemed more like a recipe for cooking a Jubi.
Add water, lime, and cook at 475 degrees for 15-20 mins. Stir well.

Though to be honest, I am wondering if the ten tails is able to use the power of the Gedo Statue’s ability to suck souls; the one that was used on Hanzo’s and Danzo’s troops. To be honest, that is a delicious compensation, the souls of shinobi of all 5 villages in the place of the 2 remaining biju.

I think Kishimoto found out many were unimpressed with the design of the Ten Tails. I think the tens tails maturing closing line means its about to transform. It should shrink down to humanoid size and really make things difficult.
You’d think that with the time he had, Obito would’ve studied up on his own village’s techniques, let alone the ones from other villages, to keep this sort of thing from happening.

Madara and Tobi Uchihas are going to pull a Souske Aizen on all the division squads and defeat them one by one, then it will be left to Naruto and Kurama to do a surprise comeback and overpower them.
Don’t forget Sasuke. I think he’s the one hanging out with Urahara in Hueco Mundo. He was supposed to look into something regarding Orochimaru but I don’t think that’s gone anywhere.
We also have the Kages in various states of ass-kickedness with Tsunade being smashed in half and getting ready (probably) to sacrifice her life to save the other Kage and open up a vacancy for a 7th Hokage (Danzo was the 6th for like 3 days before Sasuke defeated his ‘hax no jutsu’).
The whole NarutoxHinata thing is probably not gonna happen (although I wish it did). There is not nearly enough time for any sort of plausible development short of her almost dying for him – which she already did. Didn’t work.
It feels like the end, but there is still A LOT that still needs addressed. We’ll see how it plays out.
Don’t worry about this love story business, if Naruto ends up with Sakura then Sasuke will end up with Hinata, I know alot of people will not like a good girl like Hinata to end up with that psycho Uchiha but look at it a little bit closer, Sasuke is not into girls that are crazy about him and he has never returned their feelings so therefore if Sasuke where to find a girlfriend Hinata would be perfect for him.
While people do say “opposites attract”, I never really saw any “realistic” reason for Sasuke and Hinata shipping.
While Hinata may not be head-over-heels crazy for Sasuke, which might make her seem more appealing as opposed to the rabid fangirls, there IS the fact that, to him, especially now, she would most likely appear “too weak” for him. He would want someone who he wouldn’t have to think about taking care of, but also wouldn’t “bug him”, be needy, nag him, etc. He seems like someone who wants someone “strong”, but also one who he has total control over and pop out babies for the Clan, never questioning him, etc. Basically, he’d want to be like Zabuza with a female Haku, lol.
Problem is, those types are pretty rare from what we’ve seen.

That’s just the way things are .. some people can really be stone-headed .. or we wouldn’t have so many fanatics of all sorts in the real world .

I’ve read a lot of shonen in my time but these past couple of chapters have been the most cliche things I’ve ever read in a manga. I think One Piece is less cliche than this series now. One Piece!

While this is corny shonen monologing, it looks like it’s about to wrap up. All we need is the Sasuke vs Naruto Final Fight and Naruto becoming Hokage and an epilogue timeskip. But I swear, if Kishimoto trolls us and say that it’s NOT the end of the manga and that theres more he’s forcing to the story. I’m gonna drop it and say it’s shit. Oh wait the Naruto franchise is pretty much overrated lukewarm shit. And lol at the One Piece comment. I have to say it ain’t worse as Bleach
