「悪の幹部の泣かせ方」 (Aku no Kanbu no Nakasekata)
“How to Make an Evil Leader Cry!”

Now that was everything I hoped it would be. Demonic fights; more future ancient technology teasing; Snow being a dumb dumb – yes I can say my Sunday humour needs have thoroughly been met. The best part though? Still one episode of insanity to go.

In light of prior episodes having Heine turn into a good girl wholly unfit for use and abuse (mostly) was both unsurprising and an absolute treat to see. Demon girl doing good, wanting to save the world, and dangerously approaching ara ara territory? Oh god please, my heart can only take so much. Hell she even suggests an interest in grounding the very misanthropic Russell who you know full well is related to Rose and her daddy in some capacity for added adorableness. The only thing which makes it better is watching Six and Alice go full-bore evil since I never expected Alice to actually encourage Six into legitimately evil activities, but hey, there’s always a first. Remember, Alice even had the cojones to say the quiet part out loud.

Such mashups, however, only account for half the fun of this week. Six after all really found his groove with that kick into the afterlife, while Grimm just keeps on adding reasons for why you never let her leave the house. Snow though definitely wins outright for me as she’s pretty much jumped from simple greed right into the confines of obsessed gambler through the repeated doubling down on purchases which blow apart in her hands. And the reaction faces, do not forget the reaction faces. It’s almost enough to have me forget about the ominous juxtaposition of future tech in fantasyland, but considering Russell has landed himself a big giant robot to serve as the final boss, I think such curiosity will be sated in one way or another.

There may not wind up being much in the way of storybook ending for Sentouin’s grand finale next week, but rest assured the entertainment value will be through the roof.

  1. Rose: “Snow, what are you doing?”
Snow: *Removing a piece of the (obviously advanced) ruins* “Relics from ancient ruins would sell for a fortune if we can bring them back!”

Snow being distracted by the shinies…in an ancient ruin bound to be full of (advanced technological) traps. That’s gonna end well for her… /s

    Alice: “Bonus.”
Snow: “I’m a knight. I have to serve my country, huh?”

LOL at Alice doing a classic Pavlovian conditioning technique on Snow.

    Other random thoughts:
    – I thought that ancient artifact/weapon would be something like a tank… But a giant mecha? (Though on second thought, those drones Heine and Russell were fighting should have clued me in. Or heck, even the Mobile Fortress Destroyer in KonoSuba.)
    OUCH.
    – If Six and company let Heine and Russell do all the dirty work, and Six managed to take down Russell with a groin attack, then why haven’t I heard the “You earned Evil Points” spiel yet? *Lets the scenes play out* Oh.
    – While Six failed to steal the giant mecha (so far), he sure got one hell of a consolation prize. (Steal! [Yes, yes, I know Heine teleported away as Six grabbed her top.]) And there’s the spiel. (Wait, so you only get Evil Points for petty evil stuff, but the heinous ones–or even groin kicking–are too evil for “Evil Point” standards? Eh?)

Welp, not all heists go according to plan… With Six and the gang in a rather fine mess at the moment, I wonder what manner of zaniness will be on display for the (season) finale.

  2. Get into the robot, Russell!
It’s almost like I am rooting for him and Heine now.
And, to think carefully, Snow’s low-level evil plan would land them in sole possession of the ancient weapon… But Six and Alice had to over-do the cunning plan so it could blow up in their faces.
