Mika Nakashima – Glamorous Sky PV (Nana Movie Theme)

Thanks to the webmistress at at NANA-NANA.net, I was able to see the PV to Mika Nakashima’s Glamorous Sky, one of the two featured songs of the Nana movie – the other being Yuna Ito’s Endless Story (She plays Reira). Just a little background: Nana is an ongoing Yazawa Ai manga that’s very popular and is currently getting made into a movie due out September 3rd of this year. It is the story of two girls both named Nana, music, and love with a lot of style thrown in.
The PV is a concert by the Black Stones with Mika Nakashima playing Oosaki Nana and singing Glamorous Sky. Each of the actors and actresses look remarkably like their manga counterparts and I hear that Mika Nakashima even cut her long hair short just to play the part. Though the song doesn’t really feel punk, I like it a lot anyway (maybe it’s better this way). The PV itself is slightly on the boring side, but I don’t mind since it gives us a peek at what the actual movie will be like. Needless to say, I am definitely looking forward to the movie when it comes out since I am a huge fan of Yazawa Ai’s manga works and Nana in general.
