「フールフーフ」 (Fuuru Fuufu)
“Fool Couple”
This week’s episode tackles a really sensitive topic — Waifus.
Who’s Your Waifu?
Something that I’ve always been curious about was just how in the world does Kaoru put up with all those 2d girls that Hajime kept staring at!? I can tell you from firsthand experience that there’s just certain things you don’t do with your significant other near you and fangirling over your favorite 2d girl is definitely one of those. I mean, it’s already tough enough not to make them feel like they’re inferior to some “imaginary” girl but have you ever tried to explain the difference between a wife and a waifu? For those of us in the know it’s a simple concept but for those outside this realm it’s like pulling teeth.
Then again, you could say that’s another one of those challenges that come with the territory of dating a girl who isn’t in the same hobbies as you. As we’ve seen, Kaoru and Hajime make it look almost easy!
What Is Love?
The show made a stark turn during the latter half (which feels weird to type since it’s only 3:30 minutes long) which involved a really serious look into what it really means to have feelings for someone. Sometimes you clearly understand what you want and sometimes it takes something serious to shake you up to realize just how much you want something. In our favorite couples case, it was nice to finally get a peek at just how much it took to get them together. Who would have thought it would have been a nice smack to the face after getting rejected would have been the catalyst that brought everything together?
Looking Ahead
I don’t think there’s really much to look forward to besides the big baby reveal. Based off of everything we’ve gotten for nearly a month though, I’m sure next week’s episode will be another hit no matter what they decide to show.
Catch you next week!
i’ll have to be honest, for someone who’s been selling in conventions and a frequent attender, even I didn’t know there was a difference between wife and waifu.
wife: You live with her, and love her even with her little faults and such. Well you love her
waifu: You see only the best in her, not knowing her faults. In short, she is the perfect fantasy inyourmind Wife. some kind of Puppet that lifes only to serve you
….. i think
I completely forgot about that girl until they showed her in the present at the end.
I was surprised they showed the Himegoto screen without censoring it.
Also I’d like to point out that Himegoto is about traps, which makes it even more awkward to try and explain.
