「死神の時間 前編」 (Shinigami no Jikan Zenpen)
“Shinigami Time Prequel”
Man, everything I’ve been watching seems to be falling to the dark side.
Karasuma-sensei Part Two
We touched on this a few weeks ago (or maybe even longer than that), but I guess we were wrong when we assumed Karasuma was a dense bonehead who didn’t have a romantic bone in his body. I mean, who wouldn’t think someone so invested into his work wouldn’t be a stickler for fluffy things like romance or love? Amazingly, I was really surprised when Karasuma revealed just how perceptive he was to the whole thing! Seeing how he never speaks about his personal life, it was nice to see that he isn’t as dense as a rock when it comes to some of the more important things in life. However, I thought it was a little rude of him not be up front with Irina about the whole thing. I understand that he was trying to handle things his own way, but I think Irina of all people deserves some courtesy after all the crap they’ve been through.
The Shinigami
Wow, did things take a pretty drastic turn after this new assassin showed up. Declaring himself the best assassin in the world, this Shinigami is drastically different from everything else we’ve seen up to this point. Not one to toy around with his prey, it’s a little scary when you think about just how easy everyone in Koro-sensei’s class has had it. Somehow making their way through some dire situations with some tact and a little bit of luck, it looks fortune isn’t looking upon them this time around.
That said, it makes you wonder what the Shinigami has in store with the entire class being held hostage. He hasn’t directly stated his goal is to eliminate Koro-sensei, but I doubt someone of his skill level would even bother with E class unless there was a real good reason behind it.
Looking Ahead
With E class behind bars, Irina acting very strangely, and a terrifying skilled assassin pulling the strings, it looks like the only people left to save them all is Koro-sensei and Karasuma-sensei. While I have no doubts that they’ll manage to spring our captive students, I can’t wait to see what they’re actually going to do against this “Shinigami”.
In any case, I’ll catch you guys next week when we’ll hopefully get some awesome action scenes as two epic sensei’s get to strut their stuff.
End Card
One of my most favourite arcs of this series.
It’s gonna be entertaining.
The end card though. HAHA. I am really looking forward to the next few episodes. I love this arc the most along with the school festival arc.
that world cup reference lol. Next week’s episode will definitely be something to watch, from the looks of the end card. Probably more badassery from Karasuma. The shinigami, though, looks mild and unassuming, the complete opposite of a head-turner like Bitch sensei; I thought that the bit with the calculator was a nice touch – kinda adds a layer of authenticity to his masquerading as a flower seller.
Wonder if the end card is a One Punch man parody…
Most of the time with this series, when it has gone dark, I can usually
“feel” how it’s gonna turn out. In the previous times, the kids have gone
largely unscathed through their ordeal. But this time, there are “casualties”.
So I wonder if Koro-sensei will really open a can of whop-ass on Shinigami.
Of course everything will turn out, but I definitely feel the suspense.
Did Miss Bitch really change her allegiance? Is this a turning point, or is
she really smarter than she acts and this is all an act to get close to the
threat to the students. Lines have definitely been crossed if she really did
turn, and I can’t see forgiveness for her actions…
Sadly, it’s not an OPM reference but you’ll see next week, why? Hehe.
It was mentioned at this point in the manga, so I don’t really know why they left it out but…

7-1 was the score of the Germany vs Brazil semifinals in the 2014 FIFA soccer world cup – Germany destroyed Brazil(a lead soccer playing nation) 7 points to 1. Hence why the Brazilians all want to kill Koro-sensei.
Never forget
As a Brazilian I must say that I loved the 7×1 joke.
After the spectacular defeat to the Germans the final score of the match really became a sort of taboo around here. Anything that reminds people of it tends to ruin the atmosphere.
I mean, I doubt anyone would ever be attacked by an angry mob, but as an exaggeration it was really funny. As soon as I saw Koro-sensei mumbling 7…1 to himself I was already laughing hard.
“You cant say that here Koro-sensei!!”

Gotta love Koro-kun.
This episode cover from chapter 99-104(six chapters). Lerche left out important scenes like appearance of Red Eye since Show Spoiler ▼
and certain someone explaining to Karasuma about the God of Death. Also, Lerche change the scene how the students split up into groups(it was three not two). I guessing the arc will be concluded in the next episode.
I’m now having a hardtime where the anime end in which chapter. I trying think Lerche wants to end it at the last chapters since the manga will end in next month(which I see it impossible for them to do).
Well it confirm the second season will cover up all the way to the manga ending.
Did the monsters of Ajin escape and made their appearance in AssClass2? I still think it’s good but was fast.
