「那多蜘蛛山」 (Natagumo-zan)
“Mount Natagumo”
I know I’m slow but I’m finally catching on to the format of the series. Every demon battle is a three or four episode arc. Last week’s episode was a much needed break considered all the stellar premieres we were bombarded with for the start of the summer season. But this week, it’s back to normal.
Now fully healed, the three stooges are sent to Mount Natagumo to go up against what seems to be a ‘family’ of demons. Last I heard, demons didn’t work together so this is a nice change of pace. Aside from Yahaba and Susamaru who met hours prior to fighting Tanjirou and Nezuko, we haven’t had the chance to see demons working together. Now the gang is faced with a family of what I counted as five demons. A few ‘children’, perhaps a ‘father’, and a ‘mother’ whose puppetry ability is behind the morbid scene. As of yet, we still don’t know if all members of this ‘family’ or only some belong to Kibutsuji’s infamous Twelve Demon Moons.
That said, we haven’t seen demon hunters work in large numbers either. True we saw Tanjirou, Zenitsu, and Inosuke fight simultaneously when they were trapped in the Tsuzumi mansion but in no way were they working as a team. Instead, it was a series of flukes that got them out of the mansion. To top it all off, Nezuko was trapped in her box because it was left outside in sunlight. Mount Natagumo, however, will set the stage for the very first time all four will fight side by side, or at least I hope it will. It’s time Nezuko impress Zenitsu with her strength rather than her beauty. Maybe her strength will intimidate him enough to keep him at bay.
It still isn’t clear to me how much of a secret Nezuko is to the Demon Slayer Corp. I assume Giyu is aware of Tanjirou and Nezuko’s predicament since he was the one who directed him towards Urokodaki knowing he’d teach the boy how to defend himself. Yet, even with that gesture of mercy, he has no intention to solve the differences between demons and humans. After his ‘impossible’ comment, it’s as though the war between humans and demons is very black and white, even though the Kamado siblings make up the grey zone. On this other hand, his colleague Kocho Shinobu (Hayami Saori) has is much more of the ‘wishful thinking’ type when it comes to the situation.
One thing’s for sure, there’s about to be a much anticipated reunion between Giyu and his pupil, and it looks like we’ll get to see the true power of a Hashira Demon Slayer if not two.
Let the battle begin.
This episode was a great presentation regardless how the fight was shown. I hope to see more fight in the next episode. But man, the new enemies they encounter was what the heck. Appearances are crazy. What I’m interesting is in Zenitsu, that guy still behind in the middle of no where though he’s catching up running to Tanjiro. I want to see him unlock new powers.
The next episode is going to be an awesome one. Be prepared for another round of the Zenitsu in sleep-mode. Seeing Shinobu now really breaks my heart T.T

So keen for Giyuu to reunite with his sibling pair, it would be around 2 years? Not sure how what kind of impression or relationship he will allow himself to build with them, but seriously, no one can not adore Tanjiro. Also, very welcome for some Zenitsu action, but I appreciate his gesture of flower to Nezuko.
I’m a bit confused though, has Nezuko’s “intelligence” as a human regressed a bit after becoming a demon, or not supposedly? She was the oldest daughter and rearing the younger siblings as well, but she seems much more child-like than flashbacks seem to suggest.
Yes, her intelligent did regress to a state of a child. Tamamo did said she is a unique case
