「 ひとりのキャンプ」 (Hitori no Kyanpu)
“Camping Alone”
For this week, Yuru Camp wraps up Nadeshiko’s camping trip on a light-hearted note as she ends up having a great time soaking in the cold nighttime atmosphere of her camping endeavor. But in the process, Rin and Sakura eventually find that their concerns for her subsistence to be unsubstantiated with how she ended up really enjoying herself.
We got to see how Nadeshiko fared on her own mostly by the time the night closed in. She went for a simple enough idea for a meal with roasted vegetables on the menu. The results varied predominantly due to her choice of veggies. The existence of purple sweet potatoes alone justifies the idea of roasting as a whole with its buttery sweetness. Roasted eggplant with its smoky, buttery flavor is also hard to resist. On the flip-side, I’m pretty sure roasting an avocado is a prerequisite for creating a homunculus.
It was cute to see how well she fared on her own even with the company of young girls who were curious about her grilling expertise, and it was a nice, beginner-friendly campsite with its wi-fi access and pavilion on the off-chance of difficult weather.
While she got to have a more peaceful time at the campsite, it was a difficult night for Rin and Sakura considering how much fear they had for Nadeshiko suffering on her first solo outing. Thankfully, things subsided, but for the past two episodes, they showed as much concern as they could by mutually bonding together in their concern for Nadeshiko.
It wasn’t until far later in a humorous scene where they had to hide from her as she strolled on the same trail they were on that their concerns were alleviated somewhat. It was still a very pleasant episode where we got to see Nadeshiko’s pure potential as a solo camper considering how decently she handled soaking in the scenery by her own accord and sending pictures of her experience as she went along.
If this has the locations right, Rin would’ve needed to drive more than 40 miles to get from where she was out to where Nadeshiko was camping. That’s dedication!
Anime Magic do not Harm here 🙂
I think it’s more like 38 miles, but whatever. I think what’s more impressive is that the drive takes 1 hour and 40 minutes in a car. Maybe 2 hours on a moped. Of course, everyone drives slow there.
The drive home is shorter (to Minobu) so that’s not bad. It’s probably still early since sunset is early there. Rin and Sakura would probably get home by 8 or 9pm.
Also, even if you meat strangers at the right time and they gave you an Push to change your life, like here. It is called Life and i find this wonderful
Remember the “teaching her to ride the Bike” from Non Non Biyori Repeat Ep.10? This kind of meetings i am talking about
