「回復術士は、可憐な一輪の花になる!」 (Kaifuku Jutsushi wa, Karen na Ichirin no Hana ni Naru!)
“The Healer Becomes a Single, Lovely Flower!”

Well I’ll be, a week without revenge. And not just revenge, minimal sex at that! Yeah yeah, Kaiyari still provided on the T&A front for all you filthy degenerates (*innocent Pancakes whistle of innocence*), but I seriously doubt the potential at certain points was missed. Whether a sign that forbidden love is truly forbidden or simply some rest before the chaos, Kaiyari is certainly taking it easy right now on the last leg to its finale.

Out of all the ways to get Blade alone for revenge, I have to admit going (mostly) full gender bender didn’t enter my mind. Even after discovering the lover of all things princess extended said love to all varieties of the female form and made sure to indicate the visceral hatred of the male form in the clearest way possible. Given Keyaru has effectively shown himself willing and able to use anything and anyone as mere tools you’d think he’d throw one of his girls at Blade for the sake of a setup, but I guess the need to fix his toys after the fact put a quick stop to that suggestion. Even if I’m hard-pressed to understand how he’d miss the schadenfreude that would come from Blade taking mind-bent Flare for a ride, only to realize she was doubly screwed by Keyaru literally mindfucking her pure and wholesome princess and using the princess solely to get to Blade. If the whole purpose is revenge, you think you wouldn’t pass up such moments, but I guess even ideal revenge must occasionally take a backseat to pragmatism.

The real fun, however, will naturally come once Norn is confronted, and I dare say that’s going to be a blast. With Keyaru surprisingly not a completely OP machine who can effortlessly overwhelm the opposition (if Blade’s capabilities in an open fight are anything to go by), I expect Norn will help even the scales and actually give the guy a bit of a challenge for once. Not that Keyaru is expected to lose mind you – the kid is too ridiculous and hungering for further harem members too much for that to actually happen. And hey, nothing says satisfaction likely legitimately overcoming a proper threat for once.

Especially when we know what such satisfaction will entail. Place your bets on whether demon birb girls will join in on that action.

  1. *Sees Keyaru’s genderbent form*

To quote a certain CrimsonF**kr: “Ah, the return of the ‘Why?’ boner… With a VENGEANCE!

    – Was that Yoko Hikasa voicing genderbent!KeyaruKeara? (Ya be…)
    – As much as I’d love to see how Blade reacts to a “memetic molester” version of Astolfo (for s**ts and giggles), I’ll have to make do with Keara smirking at Blade’s reaction to the former’s intentional unsettling gender reveal. Or in other words, “Blade just walked into Keara/Keyaru’s trap.” (And now I’m imagining Keara/Keyaru and Astolfo “double-teaming” Blade, if you know what I mean… ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) )
    – Ah, can’t wait to see Keyaru consummate his revenge on Blade after the s**t she put him through. And with Blade basically being an absolute unsympathetic c-word (emphasis mine) at this point, she certainly deserves whatever choice of slur fits her–and whatever Keyaru’s planning for her. (Oh yeah, looking forward to Norn’s comeuppance too.) Gotta save the best for next episode.

      1. Well, I could read the manga further to have an idea of how it goes, but at this point, I’ll wait and see how the anime season finale portrays the rest (and possibly the best) of Keyaru’s revenge plan. I just hope Keyaru’s next revenge plots won’t get stale after that (if Kaiyari does get a second season).

    1. I was asking myself the same and it sure sounded like her.
Well, as long as she doesn’t actually take part in the “action”, I’m fine with it.
Not too surprised after her role in Interspecies Reviewers.

      1. When I think of recent “seductive” roles Yoko Hikasa had, the first one that comes to mind is Azur Lane‘s St. LewdisLouis. What a tease, with those borderline yabai voice lines and especially with her also-yabai Live2D skins. (Not to be confused with the Iris Libre heavy cruiser, Saint Louis, voiced by Asami Seto.)

Man, I’d be happy to hear even mere news of Ishuzoku Reviewers season 2 being in the works ATM, though I’mma let the manga gather enough season 2 material first.
