「数えきれないこの世の不幸」 (Kazoe Kirenai Kono Yo no Fukou)
“The Countless Wrongs of Our Day”

To right the countless wrongs of our day, we shine this light of true redemption, that this place may become as paradise. What a wonderful world such would be.

Just playing! Subarashiki Kono Sekai’s 10th episode explores the numerous consequences that came from the Reaper’s Game going completely off-the-rails. While most of the denizens of Shibuya are wearing pins that send them all in a brain-washed frenzy, Neku and Beat are forced to contend with Minamimoto and Hanekoma throwing a wrench in their otherwise simple task of finding the pin to unlock the gate in Shibuya River.

One of the more memorable scenes from the later stages of the game happens in this episode with a majority of Shibuya wearing red pins that cause them to go berserk and repeat a mantra that’s Kitajini-approved. The last episode had Kariya and Uzuki get struck by this, but it’s also the main reason why Minamimoto wants to make the most of his resurrection.

It’s amusing how, between Minamimoto and Kariya, nobody except for Kitajini seems genuinely pleased with the outcome of the second and third games being derailed. Minamimoto never wanted to be a team player considering the game Joshua was a part of, but he definitely wasn’t going to be down for everyone having to use red pins. Especially not if he has his own taboo energy to work with thanks to Hanekoma.

Even Konishi, as ruthless as she is, wasn’t as psyched about having to work on any of this up until she had to get into work mode. She has her work cut out for her by contending with the red pins and the possibility of fighting Neku, Beat, and possibly Minamimoto. It doesn’t help that Hanekoma’s allegiance has been tricky for Neku to put his thumb on. Perhaps in the next episode, some details will begin to clear up and come to light.
