Hard to believe this season is almost over (summer preview soon), but for all the sad there’s at least plenty of happy in explosion central’s final couple of episodes. After all, we’ve got lots of cameos hinting at the upcoming (already passed?) fun and the potential of possibly, maybe, getting some more on Chomusuke. I don’t think one could ask for more.

Following in the vein of last week’s romp through Megumin discovers the realities of explosion, we got plenty more on the setup which eventually yields Konosuba’s ultimate party of disaster. Mostly this means Aqua and Kazuma doing the usual and showing just how, well, unholy one of the two patron saints actually is, but we also got some hints of Wiz (as promised) just to reinforce that there’s more yet to tease before all is said and done. Oh and Cecily being her usual self, though I don’t think that needs much elaboration; the girl pretty much accomplishes all that and then some on her own.

As for the main plot of this arc, quite interested seeing how it is inevitably resolved given when and where Megumin finally makes Kazuma’s acquaintance. Big angry demon after all is technically that much of a threat considering how Komekko effortlessly dealt with him, and given Megumin’s penchant for keeping Chomusuke no matter the difficulty (albeit usually with some Yunyun prodding), fairly safe to say the outcome is largely a given. How said demon is dealt with of course is up in the air, but guaranteed there will be an explosion embedded somewhere in the midst, just to round things out.

And who knows, maybe we will end with that fated meeting. Got to tease that upcoming third season somehow!
