The site was horribly overloaded yesterday, which has caused all the downtime in the past ~20 hours. If you’re having trouble viewing a page, try refreshing until it appears again. Please bear with me as I try to figure out what my options are.
We seem to be fully back online now, thanks to the help of Matthew and DH tech support. You might notice that the Recent Posts and the Poll on the sidebar are gone at the moment – I’m doing a little testing to see their impact on CPU load. Hopefully I’ll be able to re-enable them tomorrow.
Meh it sucks but well i hope the site can be fix anyway good luck
it’s okay as long we can read posts :/
Ah – thought it was just me and my dodgy connection. Hope you get it sorted out ok!
Strangely enough, I’m not having any trouble at some of the other AnimeBlogger.net bloggers. I just clicked on a number of them at random and they seem to be OK at first glance.
That is pretty weird that not all of the animeblogger.net sites are acting weird. Plus you seem to be using wp-cache, too… I think you’re just too popular for your own good 😉
It’s not much of a problem because you only have to refresh, it’s not gone forever (the fear I have for many good websites)
So that’s why!.. Anyway Good Luck 🙂
Ditto, after a few refreshes it seems to load, but from time to time it spazzes.
even when the site does load, some of the images do not display properly for me ._.
damn, that shows how good your site is doing! It was like, a nice happy slap in the face.
With the way traffic is going, RC one day might need to be running on its own full-fledged web hosting CLUSTER, let alone on a dedicated server. I wonder if it will get that busy, or if there’s a way to tweak the site so that’s not necessary. *shrugs* Who knows?
Ahh, cbhl, don’t think that R.C. needs that much xD
We are using a VPS for my site, that’s not as expensive as a root server and also much faster than a hosting place 😉
I tried to view your Negima!? post yesterday. Now I know why I sometimes get the 503 message. And even if I can view the page, either it is not loaded properly or some screencaps cannot be loaded. Thanks for the update.
Aside from a thumbnail not showing up properly in Code Geass, your site seems to be working fine now. 🙂
