「勝つために」 (Katsutameni)
“In Order To Win”
They say that too much of a good thing can actually be bad and I think this current arc is getting awfully close to overstaying its welcome.
Yeah, We Get It.
With the Seirin vs Kaijo match constantly going back and forth with both teams getting a chance to take the lead and run with it, what should have been an invigorating episode ended up falling a little flat. Not completely flat like a can of soda you opened and totally forgot about but lackluster enough that it didn’t really give a hard enough kick to get my adrenaline running. I mean, there were some really awesome plays from both sides but none of it seemed all that enthralling (maybe except when Kise busted out Kuroko’s trademark pass).
Maybe it’s because the show is focused on giving all the characters a chance to really strut their stuff (Hyuuga and Teppei being the ones shining under the spotlight this week) but it’s beginning to feel like this arc is staying well passed its welcome. I mean, I’m sure we all knew coming into this that neither team would have an easy time. From the obvious physical strain to the slightly less visible emotional one, I don’t think we needed so many episodes to get the point across that both teams were willing to put everything on the line to capture victory.
That said, what happened this week wasn’t all bad. We got to see Kaijo in a state of panic with Seirin completely trampling over them without their ace to secure the game. That and watching Kise come onto the court ready to destroy whatever was in front of him was pretty inspiring.
Looking Ahead
With everything building up to this point, it looks like next week’s episode is going to finally close things out on this crazy long match. Both sides have unleashed their weapons and are ready and willing to put everything on the line. Seeing how Kaijo’s a bit behind though, it looks like they’ll have to put in a good amount of effort to catch up to Seirin in addition to taking the lead but with Kise in Perfect Copy Mode Mach 2, I’m sure it won’t be too difficult. Which leaves only one final question — what is Seirin going to do about it?
While I’m hoping that answer involves a liberal use of anything Kuroko, I suppose we’ll have to wait until next week to find out.
Preview
Well,do understand that this episode covered 4 chapters, but it’ll be worth waiting to see the buzzer beater of thus match, which also leads to a hint of Kuroko’s NEW power.
So I guess it’ll be EP 12 that starts Teiko arc.
I think I might partially be burnt out because of this darned cold I’m trying to get over.
But yeah, the episode was still fun overall \o/
Sorry to hear you’re sick. Wishing you a speedy recovery. ✲゚。.(✿╹◡╹)ノ☆.。₀:*゚✲゚*:₀。
Don’t worry, you will be back on your feet in no time. And then you will be wishing you were off your feet again, resting. (●⌒v⌒●)
Get well soon.
And, thanks for being the recapper for KnB. Just became a huge fan early this year that I’m gonna leave a comment or explain a talent every week here.
In fact, I believe you’ll get better when you see Kuroko’s 1st match in Teiko arc. He’s so clumsy, but cute at same time. X)
Kise is a great player and he should stop wasting his time copying other people’s moves. He is skilled enough to come up with his own unique style.

He is new to basketball, probably been playing for only 3 years. I think copying is his way of learning.
How to Win: ‘Accidentally’ step on Kise’s foot while playing. Problem solved.
The way he is mixes all the Generation of Miracles skills together fluidly is amazing. He should copy Kagami’s jump ability as well. I can’t wait to see the conclusion to this match!
Copying is a way of learning. We copy everything we see lol by force of nature we just don’t do it like kise. But Kise has the sharingan lol
The end of this match is definitely worth the wait.
Kise copying Kuroko’s ignite pass kai was the highlight of the episode!
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2029.jpg
And what was up with that END CARD. Teppei and Hyuuga cosplaying for Riko? ^^
Looks like a plain ol’ water gun fight, with Kuroko obviously among the remaining players. I think Hyuuga just wants to take any opportunity to dress up like his Sengoku figures.
Great animation on the ignite pass. And this is why I still look forward to the anime despite having read the manga.
I couldn’t find the Kise version but here’s KUROKO’S IGNITE PASS KAI.
Kamehame…oh wait, wrong anime. :))
Kise’s ignite pass was so strong some of Kuroko’s hair flew off his head.
I lol’d at the conversation between Hyuga and Teppei ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

They seem to perform better when they fight.
I freaking loved the part where Hyuuga kept making fun of Kiyoshi. They are a good combo.
So cool seeing Kise in full super saiyan mode.

I don’t care if you copy every single person in the world but PLEASE don’t copy Kuroko too. (¯―¯٥)

Personally, I think it’s unwise of Kise to risk his future basketball career on one freshman match just because he doesn’t want to lose. Fulfilling his role as Kaijo’s ace is important but not important enough that he should risk permanent damage to his foot.
It was a bit strange how Kise’s teammate caught his ignite pass w/out problem. So far only strong players like Kagami and Aomine could catch Kuroko’s.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2030.jpg
I’ve wondered about that as well. It took other Seirin players some time to get accustomed to catching Kuroko’s ignite pass.
Here’s probably why:
1. Perfect Copy is an imitation but not as good as the original so it probably wasn’t as strong as Kuroko’s pass.
2. Based on physics, Ignite Pass Kai loses its spin and velocity over a long distance.
3. Kobori caught the ball with both hands, not one-handed like Kagami.
I thought Kuroko couldn’t be copied by Kise bec he’s different from everyone?
That kind of pass isn’t a Misdirection.
I recall that Kiss can’t copy Kuroko’s MISDIRECTION cause not everyone can have a lack of presence like Kuroko, except Show Spoiler ▼
Hence, Ignite Pass KAI, with more speed and ‘light’, will attract attention; thus, Kise can observe it with full attention that he’s able to pull off that lightning pass.
When you put it that way, it seems logical. Still it never occurred to me that he’d copy one of Kuroko’s moves.
This match is getting good. I disliked Kise as soon as he copied Kuroko’s pass. Kuroko should be untouchable.
Noooo!! Don’t you dare copy Kuroko!!!!! Not Kuroko!!
I’m sure Kise can copy anything at this rate as long as he sees the full mechanics of it.
Every time I see Murasakibara, all I think is, Attack on Titan x Kuroko no Basket crossover.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2027.jpg
1st time seeing Teppei being angry. LOL
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2005.jpg
That doesn’t look like the calm, collected Teppei I’ve come to respect.
O.O

So I’m assuming Kise will surpass his 2-minute limit next episode? Kagami and Kuroko better come up with something fast. At this rate, it’s only a matter of time till Kaijo catches up.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2031.jpg
Kuroko needs to pull something out of his ass SOON.
Man, if Kise could use Perfect Copy for more than 5 minutes he would be unstoppable.
Next week I’ll finally get to see my favorite part of this match in action!
Even though this episode isn’t exciting, where viewers will experience deja vu here…the episode highlights Hyuuga and his teammates are the ones getting revenge due to their promise in playing with Kaijou during Interhigh being broken…
But, at least it’s lovable (and funny) to see Hyuuga and Teppei arguing like elementary kids over petty stuff.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2011.jpg
I actually liked this episode a lot more than the last two which focused on Furihata and Kasamatsu who I didn’t care for so much. I’m okey w/them giving Hyuuga and Teppei screen time and nice to see Kise back in the game. Great episode over all.
I couldn’t stop laughing at this scene. Kagami looks like he’s flying/diving. XD

What. Is. He. Doing? 😀
Too fast too furious.
Great to see Rakuzan. Akashi is checking out the competition but he doesn’t look too impressed.

Woah, Kise vs Kuroko showdown next week. This should be exciting.

The game’s climax this episode…I don’t think I can hold on to the edge of my seat any longer.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2026.jpg
BOOM! BOOM! Kuroko! Kise!

The perfect copy is unbeatable~ (cheers)

The next episode…revenge match!
okay not really an anime sports watcher, but i know they can be hype….but wtf is happening in dat pic with da blue streak?? someone fire off a galick gun!? or did they activate their warp drive?!
i might have to check this series out
Give it a try. I’m not into sports anime but KnB is the exception. Just remember that it is shonen and like most anime, suspension of disbelief is a prerequisite to enjoying this show. Have fun.
So intense. I’ve been waiting for Kise to get back on the game. His Perfect Copy is just unstoppable. And what a surprise witnessing him copy Kuroko’s Ignite Pass.
https://randomc.net/image/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke/Kuroko%20no%20Basuke%203%20-%2010%20-%20Large%2019.jpg
Homoshit
You’d only know if you watched the episode though, right?
Meaning.. you know how fun the show really is, right?
Don’t be shy 😀
How come Kagami hasn’t activated the zone yet, surely it would counter Kise’s perfect copy. Whenever Seirin is in a pinch Kagami always activates it so what is stopping him?
Like Coach Rico said about Seirin needs the Zone’s maximum power for the finals, which is the next day after this match.
Kagami knows this without being told.
Hence, Seirin needs Kagami’s Zone exactly 100% for the final match.
This will be the last time I’m saying this: Buzzer beaters are hard to beat.
