“Keith Disappeared… Part 3”
It was the best of times, it was the worst of times – and if your name is Geordo, it was the most frustrating of times. Or as is otherwise known, Hamefura doing what Hamefura does best. It may have been an arc all about Keith and revealing some things probably best kept quiet, but in the end the Bakarina dominates everything. Because baka.
While I suspected Keith’s entrapment wouldn’t be too challenging to solve, I have to admit I didn’t expect it to be that easy. Or that adorable. Magical mirror doing what rude teddy bears cannot? Dark magic turning into clingy puppies after Katarina goes full Tarzan on snake tentacles? We’re certainly upping the ante in terms of chaotic crazy. Of course it is a little disappointing (for me at least) that Keith’s past and position vis a vis Thomas was largely glossed over with minimal explanation, but Keith himself easily made up for it by effectively moving into his next stage of brotherly development. And not that one, get your minds out of the incestuous gutter. No, this one, because nothing says change like a newfound willingness to openly stand on your own two feet.
Keith’s return to normalcy also has the added effect of essentially wrapping up this latest season. Although we still have one episode left, outside of potential teases regarding future arcs I think it’s reasonable to expect next week’s finale to be all about cameos and harem interactions. Geordo after all can only get so much screentime before the others clamour for equality, and with Keith drastically upping the game, rest assured Mary and Alan especially will want their pound of baka to assuage hurts both real and imagined. Personally I’m more interested in seeing whether Katarina comes to a better decision on her future (something Spot gives an opening for Ministry of Magic-wise considering his unique origin), but in the end you can more or less expect the Bakarina to do Bakarina things.
It’s only a question of how raucous the closing act’s proceedings wind up being.
Yes, almost over, I finally get to binge the whole season.
It seems to me the writer is utterly incapable of coming up with any form of jeopardy besides Dark Magic used for kidnapping. It’s the 3rd time in a row now.
I dont like this teddy bear.
Its smug aura mocks me.
