Summary:

One day, much to their surprise, Ascoeur and Q-feuille find themselves assigned an actual mission: to babysit a special little girl named Di-air. Things go smoothly at first as the two get to know Di-air and become her friend, and they show her around GTO headquarters and take her outside to play. The problems begin when, while outside, the three are approached by the hostile duo Rubis and Sapphir who are from the same group as the assassins from before. It turns out though that Rubis and Sapphir are not after Di-air and had instead come to face Ascoeur and Q-feuille, and the two struggle against Rubis’ feral form and Sapphir’s ice powers. Ascoeur in particular can’t make good use of her limited teleportation powers against Rubis, but the tides of battle turn after she gets a kiss from Di-air, and she’s suddenly able to use much more advanced techniques. Rubis and Sapphir are eventually forced to retreat because GTO security finally shows up, and Ascoeur and Q-feuille report back to Chief Hiver. Despite the attack, Chief Hiver decides to continue to leave Di-air with them, and Q-feuille in particular wants to take care of the little girl.

My suspicions from last week were correct: this episode had villains and something that resembled actual plot! And because of that, it was a decent episode – not great, but I’ll take what I can get. It was good to see some antagonists who might actually matter (as opposed to the stormtrooper-class ones of the first episode), and even if the fight itself wasn’t the most exciting or original – and plus it ended somewhat anticlimactically – it was at least well-animated. That level of production quality is one of the things keeping me watching this series, and this is the kind of episode where it can really shine. If only Q-feuille had a better ability… In any case, Di-air was also an interesting and cute addition to the cast, and it looks like she could be the girls’ secret weapon moving forward. Next episode, however, appears to be built around a horror theme, and it’s not clear from the preview whether it’ll be silly stuff or not.

  1. Ascoeur and Kuroko–separated at birth? Teleporting needles and people too! And surprise when Dia and Q-feuille were talking about family and age…it would be funny if Ascoeur is older than the both of them! Even funnier that Dia picks out the naughty parts of her tour through the HQ. Also, Q-feuille’s ability, besides being able to hack security systems on the level of Tweedledee, could become ridiculous, if she could see things she shouldn’t see..like buried memories or top secret areas. Dia could become absurdly powerful if her power goes both ways like Dverger’s in Kiddy Grade(Dia gives power/ability but maybe she can absorb and use the ability/power).

  2. This episode was great. Oddly enough when Dia was introduced, I started to have a sense of déjà vu which struck me during the fighting scenes. Why did this episode reminded me so much of Nanoha, Fate and Vivio from Nanoha Strikers all of a sudden?

Nevertheless, it’s at least a tad much better than previous episodes.

Don’t forget this is Kiddy Grade, “age” is fairly arbitrary. Someone who looks young, just might be one of the oldest people in the galaxy.

Dia reminds me of Viola, if you cranked up the cuteness scale. I wonder how long the affect lasts. I was a bit disappointed they didn’t have Ascoeur try to use her new powers and fail, wondering where her power-up went.

  4. Loli yuri huh. These yuri shows are getting boring now, the excitement is just gone. Hopefully there won’t be any yuri shows next season, need something new to be excited about.

  5. I wonder how long this series will be. Afterall, the main plot for Kiddy Grade didn’t kick off until somewhere around episode 9!!!!
Everything before that was pretty much fluff like Kiddy Girl has been so far, except less slapstick.

And I be Q-feuille is ridiculously powerful once her “full” abilities are unlocked, like Lumiere in kiddy grade!!

Really, sometimes can’t believe shows like this are blogged(yes they are new shows and deserve it) but naruto isn’t and the reason for not doing so is foolish….I find it insulting to the show but thats just My Opinion

I’m pretty sure naruto isn’t blogged due to the fact that they’re in fillers more than they’re not. I also can’t even remember if omni watches naruto… so that’s also a contributing factor.

I’m sure if you wanted to write for it, you could probably app for it
