Tsuritama – 12 (END)
(Sayonara no Fishingu)
“Goodbye Fishing”
Endings. It’s maddeningly difficult to craft a pleasing one, but with Tsuritama I think this might’ve been the perfect note to end it on.

(Densetsu no Biggu Fishu)
“Legendary Big Fish”
That cliffhanger! Why can’t it be next week yet!?
(Oretachi no Takuru)
“Our Tackle”
This was probably the most upbeat episode of Tsuritama yet in a series brimming with endless positivity.
(Ureshikute Faiteingu / Shougeki no Andauota)
“Joyous Fighting / Striking Underwater”
The reveal of the Tsuritama’s great mystery was rather underwhelming, but otherwise the show is on a roll as we enter the climax.
*For those of you following my AKB0048 posts, I have also included a short note explaining the delay.*
(Setsunakute Kauntodaun)
“Painful Countdown”
From a fairly mild opening to an intense familial throw-down at the close, this episode of Tsuritama shows just how well it can manage the emotional subtleties and peaks of its characters.
(Senritsu no Supurashu)
“Horrified Splash”
After a solid first half that packed some of the most brilliant character-building I’ve seen in an anime, the show finally pushes on to give the plot some much needed development.
(Mukatsuite Randingu)
“Angry Landing”
There’s beauty to be had in the subtlety of Tsuritama, but with a third of the show past us, I’m starting to yearn for greater strides in the story.
(Kuyashikute Yuninotto)
“The Frustrating Uni Knot”
Fishing. *Puts on sunglasses* It’s serious business.
