「意志を継ぐもの」 (Ishi o Tsugu Mono)
“Who Carries On His Will”
Oh boy, did I ever call it. Unfortunately.
「覇者たるもの」 (Hashataru Mono)
“What Makes a Ruler”
It’s big climactic battle time.
Maybe all the meandering of the plot was to build up to this.
Execution is still rough, but the underlying thrust of the story here isn’t bad. It just needed to happen twelve episodes ago.
“Death of the Emperor”
Study history. If the emperor had done that, a lot of problems could have been avoided.
No one comes out of this episode looking good, except Kurou.
It feels like Itsuwari no Kamen is pulling its punches, when following through would work much better.
Pacing problems galore.
I hope you finished watching the original Utawarerumono before this episode. I finally did.
