As much praise as I’ve been lavishing on Zetsuen no Tempest lately, I still don’t think I’ve been giving it enough credit.

「タイムマシンのつくり方」 (Taimu Mashin no Tsukuruikata)
“How to Make a Time Machine”

I don’t know how else to say it except that this episode totally blew my mind. At this point, it’s safe to say Zetsuen no Tempest has eclipsed even the greatest of my expectations. There are just so many things this series does right and there’s no greater example than in how it consistently trashes your expectations while continuing to making perfect sense.

Just another episode filled with revelations as Zetsuen demonstrates itself to be quite the experience. I gotta say, I never foresaw this series getting as far as it has.

“The Hour of the Princess’ Suppression”

This week on Zetsuen no Tempest, we get an epic episode filled with mind blowing revelations that change the landscape completely.

「ファースト・キス」 (Fasuto Kisu)
“First Kiss”

A brilliant use of flashbacks highlight the calm before the storm.

「矛盾する、頭蓋」 (Mujun Suru, Zugai)
“The Skull’s Paradox”

Questions are abound this week as we get an episode filled with both intriguing and questionable developments.

「全てのことには、わけがある」 (Subete no Koto ni wa, Wake ga Aru)
“Everything Happens For A Reason”

The title says it all, as this episode hammers in the question of whether a string of coincidences are just that… or something more. To top things off, we also get our first major twist, and it’s quite a big one at that.
