「ベイビースキップビート」 (Beibii Sukippu Biito)
“Baby Skip Beat”
I think this episode could be considered the lull before the storm.
Husband and Wife
I really enjoyed the subject that this week’s episode tried to tackle. Ever since the start, I’ve always thought Kaoru and Hajime’s relationship was a bit, to put it lightly, off. Not in a way that couldn’t work but it always seemed like a relationship that would definitely take a lot of effort to work with a high chance of things going awry at the worst times. But time and time again, we’ve seen both of them put the hard work and effort in to keep things stable and afloat.
However, with a little one coming along soon, it would make sense that Kaoru would be concerned if what she has right now would be enough to provide support for something as precious as a newborn child. If I’m not mistaken, a lot of parenting books make a huge point to keep the relationship between the parents as affectionate as possible to prevent creating a hostile environment for a baby (or something like that). But more so than just what a book says, I’m sure from an outside perspective it would be a lot easier for the pair if Hajime gave off a more husbandly aura to stave off any unwanted looks.
Which then leads to what I think this episode was trying to hone in on — is it really better to change the way you are in order to create a better environment for someone else? As Hajime put it, is it really worth trying to be the person someone else wants you to be instead of being accepted for who you really are? I’m sure there’s a case to be made when parents do it for a newborn, but is that truly the correct decision? I leave that for you to decide!
Looking Ahead
With the finale only a week away, I can’t wait to see how cute Kaoru and Hajime’s baby is. While I’m hoping it’ll be a girl, only time will tell! See you next week!
I’m basically hoping the same as you at this point. That this show will indeed grace us with Hajime and Kaoru’s baby next week. Everything seems to be pointing in that direction right?….right?
no, I want a season 3 more. their baby can wait.
btw, good legs for the budget.

Heh. Obvious references and I can see why he would read them.
Newborn’s are in the care of their Parents or someone that take care of his small fragile Life. He can not support himself, he is in need of Help and caress from outside. So, yes please change your life to support the baby. He is innocent
Put back your “Hobby” when the child are hungry and such. Newborn’s do not have an “pause” or “Standby” button
btw, nearly the same here is the new Naruto Manga. About Parents are caress of their Children. Naruto is about the Parents that was not long ago themselves Children and now Parents
and the phase where the Child become “strange”. It is no other then puberty of this young Girl, that we are watching
I find the expression on the clerk at the store to be extremely cute. It’s so “here is your bag, I’m so happy we are having this transaction”
