Episode 10 of Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to is building up towards a more eventful episode later on as Tachibana is currently being targeted by a nefarious spirit while rallying alongside Ygraine. But as the rebellion rages on, the King has to make drastic decisions on who might be formidable enough to diffuse the situation.

DEMON’S SOULS

I don’t feel like I have as much to bring up since this episode didn’t push the needle as much as other episodes have. Mainly, the two major events that happened in this episode were Schwartz returning to the story as the King’s last resort and finding out the rebellion was actually the head maid’s idea. For the former, it was just nice to see him and Lucius again and see that Schwartz isn’t doing too bad given how much of a doozy it was for him to play the third wheel to Jinguji and Tachibana back when they were fighting Vizzd.

For me, the neatest part of the episode was whatever was going on with the Head Maid. More specifically, how she appears to be in league with the Demon Lord given how she uses Tachibana’s crest to sabotage the Goddess of Beauty and tamper with Tachibana’s dreams. While Tachibana is nostalgic about how meaningful Jinguji was in protecting him throughout his youth, the Head Maid’s tampering might end up throwing a wrench in their connection in the next episode.
