「ごめんなさいーっ」 (Gomennasaii)
“I’m Sorry!”
A new member of the zodiac appears!
General Impression
This week’s episode was a pretty wild one that really caught me off guard with the emotions it tried to bring out. Utilizing both a new and a rarely seen character, I loved how we got to see a different side of things where we not only get to see what happens when Tohru takes the backseat but also some of Tohru’s advice actually in action.
Starting with Mitchan, I am downright stunned just how much conviction she has to put up with Shigure’s nonsense. As someone who’s supposed to provide guidance and/or assistance with his work (probably the latter in this case), I think I would have straight up quit or killed Shigure if he tried to put me through the same stupid cycle. Honestly — can you imagine how annoying it’d be if you were just trying to do your job only to constantly be blocked from doing your job because the person you’re in charge of likes to mess with you? Luckily we got a proper explanation behind why she’s putting up with all of it, but it still feels kind of wrong when you take a second to look at what’s happening.
Moving on to Ritsu, his introductory episode was actually really fun to watch. For some reason I thought his screaming and crying would drive me crazy but for some reason it kind of just worked. Maybe it was because of all the other characters he was bouncing off of or maybe I was just too focused on Mitchan’s situation, but it all just worked as the episode lead up to the big moment where Tohru managed to calm things down with her kind and caring words.
With that out of the way, I wanted to ask — was I the only one who felt like Ritsu and Mitchan were giving off some couple vibes? As young members of society who are still trying to figure things out, their interactions at the very end of the episode felt like the story was trying to give us a hint about what’s to come for the both of them.
In any case, I’ll catch you guys later this week! Sorry for the late post — it was a long and busy weekend that left me a little too exhausted to get the post out in time. See you then!

I was waaay too much enjoying Shigure trolling both Mitchan and Ritsu…
I feel horrible person now.
They definitely would make a freat pair, though.
This anime is so beautiful on this new version, I feel like crying sometimes
I thought this would be one of the more comedic, wacky episodes so far, until Mitchan went all suicidal.
Ritsu’s episode was far more comedic in the original and in the manga, so it really pleased me, as a Ritsu fan, his situation was taken a lot more seriously and dealt with a lot better. Plus we finally got to see Ritchan/Mitchan romance happenings! Takaya said her biggest regret was not using Ritsu more and was really sad she didn’t have time to write in their love story so I’m very happy with how this episode played out. It was a gorgeous episode and 110% better than the original!
I felt this scene would be misleading to something not platonic… but more allies the better for Ristu.
